This week, in the first of a series of visits to BBC Showcase, we talk to Richard Armitage, star of Spooks and Robin Hood, and Robert Glenister, who plays Ash in Hustle and the Home Secretary in Spooks.
We also meet former Disney Club and Wheel of Fortune presenter Paul Hendy, who talks about his second novel, Who Killed Simon Peters?, a sequel to 2004’s Diary of a C-List Celeb.

Scott dear,- how lovely to hear your dulcet tones, and how lucky are you? Sitting across the table from RA! Is he as nice in real life as he seems to be on telly? I must say, your job has it's perks, doesn't it? If you need an assistant, you know who to call on? No, not Scottella!
I don't want RA to be decapitated, pleeeeease! If they decide to do that, can you give us a warning?
I'll try again....
Scott Dear, what a brill interview. Even with the tinkling of teacups. Looking forward even more to the next series of Spooks - but I must emphatically say NO NO NO to the gorgeous RA being decapitated. It took me several episodes to get over the lovely RPJ being blown to smithereens... I couldn't bear to watch anything happen to RA.
Just would have loved to be sitting there in Brighton sipping a drink with you, of course, and lovely Richard.
I'm sure he is even nicer in real life than he is on screen, Eva. Looking forward to Robin Hood 3, Spooks 8 and more and more RA on TV.
Thanks for the interview. You need to put the mic closer to Richard because it is hard to hear him sometimes. Also you didn't spend enough time on Robin Hood S3.
I agree with Auds, RA must not be decapitated. And Sir Guy needs to find forgiveness, self worth, and a happy ever after.
How lovely to hear Richard's dulcit tones in your interview. And how lovely to hear him referred to as one of the big names in BBC Drama (it's about time!)
He always comes across as such a nice guy (!)
Suggest next roles ; Mr Knightley in the new BBC's 'Emma'. And if the adult Harry Potter is shown in the last film -check Richard out in the specs in Vicar of Dibley!
Looking forward to seeing Spooks and RH3.
Very intuitive actor
It is rare that an actor is able to keep a character congruent emotionally and physically. Mr. Armitage’s intelligent portrayal of John Thornton in “North and South,” seamlessly evolved from ironclad to ardent. Good acting and an excellent production overall.
Just found this GREAT interview on iTunes yesterday! Richard Armitage is meant to be a BIG star (b/c he's a FINE actor). And I LOVE his voice!
