Strictly Come Dancing: You be the judge, week 10

Strictly Come Dancing on TV Today

We’re definitely into the home stretch now, with just four contestants left. Sad to say, I think the chances are that it’ll be Letitia’s turn to take the slow dance at the end of the results show. But this show continues to bring surprises to the fore every week, so that may not be the case.

See you back here after the shows.

Gutted! Missed Camilla and Gethin due to traffic…. So can’t really give a serious score on the Foxtrot, but then by the judges comments, I’ll give them a 10 (and then, having seen the reminder of the dance – based on that I’ll give them 12). But I did see the Jive! Yes! Yes! Yes! That’ll be another 10. I LOVE GETHIN.

Alesha had me in tears with that beautiful waltz. 10 – Fabulous. The Paso was passionate – not enough stompy feet? I thought she was going to turn Matt to stone with that stare at the beginning – lovely. I’d still give her 10.

Oh Matt, Matt, Matt – what happened there? I guess this is where the Men get seaparated from the Boys! But he’s such a cute boy!! What a shame his nerves have go the better of him. Thought Craig was a bit too harsh with his scoring on the Foxtrot – I’d give him 8 (‘cos he’s dead cute). And his Samba, well a 6.

Letitia – well she certainly has come along brilliantly. Her Waltz was delightful and I’d give her a 9 for that. The Jive just didn’t do it for me though – I agree with Arlene– from the waist down – nada. (Having said then, if only I could dance as have a good) 8.

Sorry all, I seem to have been on the wrong blog. But I have copied and pasted what I said there.
Scott dear,- it was a bit confusing this week. My brain is not as young and agile as it should be!!!

Scott dear,- we have to make do without a scorecard today. Well, if my computer decides to close down in the middle of the program, don't blame me if my scores are lost. I'm ready and willing!!

This is the votes from the Norwegian jury:
Gethin Jones & Camilla Dallerup, American Smooth: 9
Not quite as good as last weeks waltz, but oh,- was he pleased with himself!

Alesha Dixon & Matthwe Cutler, Vienesse Waltz:10
Boooooootiful!

Letitia Dean & Darren Bennet, Waltz:9
One or two small mistakes, but so lovely.

Matt di Angelo & Flavia Cacace, Foxtrot: 6
Well,- he messed that one up, didn't he?

Gethin Jones & Camilla Dallerup, Jive: 10
That left a big smile on my face!!!!

Alesha Dixon 7 Matthew Cutler, Pasadouble:8
It didn't zizzle !

Letitia Dean & Darren Bennet, Jive: 8
Not her best, but good.

Matt di Angelo & Flavia Cacace, Samba: 8
He was too stiff.

I will be voting for Letitia again, but if she is sent home tomorrow, I'll switch to Gethin. On todays performance, Matt deserves to go. I feel sorry for him, but part of the competition is to keep the nerves under control.

OK scores from Hillingdon - Camilla and Gethin - lovely! 10
Alesha and Matt - fairytale - 10
Letita and Darren - thought she looked lovely - at last they have given her a decent dress! 9
Matt and Flavia - oh dear, the nerves really did get to him - 7 I am afraid.
Gethin and Camilla - jive 9. He did so well - it look really good, jsut agreed that the leg flicks could have been crisper, so I gave a 9 and not a 10.
Alesha and Matthew - now oddly although I thought it was performed beautifully I didn't light my fire as I imagined it would - 8
Letita and Darren - as was said - not her dance - 7
Matt and Flavia - had high hopes when they started, but then the nerves obviously kicked in and it fell apart - 7.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of the public vote - the placings as they currently stand are absolutely how I saw it, so it will come down to a dance off between Matt and Letita, and this is one I wouldn't like to call! If Matt is in the dance off he will either come out and do a tour de force, or the nerves will come back. If he is on form he will stay, but if he is not - I wouldn't like to predict!
Scott dear you are forgiven for the score card!

Poor poor Matt what's he going to do. oh sorry wrong blog.
seriously we all loved Gethin - both dances fab fab fab and thought the chemistry with camilla brill.
Alesha - wonderful waltz - pasa good but not outstanding
Letitia - great outfits - at last. waltz good , jive mediocre
matt - foxtrot best skimmed over - started with such promise - tho I do think Flavia's choreography is diff and perhaps too diff giving Matt's nerves. Realy didnt see the samba as bad as judges did - we thought he was OK. Think he is likely to go this week.
alesha better look to her heels that gethin sure is snapping at them.

Wow, this show's hotting up now. Who would have thought that Matt's nerves would have such a dramatic effect on his performance. Suspect he'll go if he can't conquer the nerves for the dance off.

Cannot believe the transformation in Gethin this week and last. Two absolutely stunning performances tonight! Alesha really needs to up her game. Thought her Viennese waltz was fabulous, brilliant choreography and choice of song from Matt, but a little disappointed with their paso, not enough dramatic impact.

So pleased to see Letitia do well after being so poorly last week. Her ballroom is really very good, but the latin does not suit her, although she sold the performance, unlike Matt.

Scott dear,- ready for duty. I wonder if Matt's nerves will be totally shot today (yesterday night) too. I really don't like this years consept of results on Sunday.

HALLO CLIFF BABY (Waving frantically at the screen) It's your Norwegian girlfriend !!!!!!

It was somewhat surreal,- Alesha in the dance off!!!! Matt got a lot of sympaty votes, obviously. I don't think we have to wait till the dance off is finished to know that Letitia is going home.

Well, the hoi polloi certainly sat the cat amongst the pigeons again tonight (she said while looking down her nose). Matt should have been in that dance off!
You could see that Letitia knew she was going, but wasn't she lovely with it?

Don't normally come over on this blog, but love the show and just wanted to say that was a travesty. Matt should have been in the dance off, then if he redeemed himself and danced well I wouldn't mind, but Aleisha in a dance off instead Pah!!!

Agree Eva - letitia was magnanimosity (!!) personified - she was so gracious and lovely and you could really see she enjoyed the whole SCD experience.

Matt was lucky, very very lucky that the great british public love an underdog.

I do love Cliff BUT think it is about time he accepted that even he grows older. Dont think my son will be on his christmas list as when asked how old he was son looked at him and said 70 - i am sure he is only 69!

really glad tho that letitia got to go out on a great dance and a great outfit so that hopefully she felt as good as she looked.

I agree with you Eva that Matt should have been in the dance off. Letitia obviously knew she couldn't win against Alesha, but I actually liked her dress this week.
I enjoyed the music to Alesha's paso and it sent me hunting for my Sky album.
I enjoyed Cliff's performance too.

Well! The British Voting Public can do strange things! Also, of course they already have the phone lines open for next week, so I think we can all safely say the majority are not voting on the dancing at all! Matt should have been in the dance off, and all well and good if he redeemed himself, that would have been fair and square, but really - Aleysha????
Really liked watching Letitia - she is obviously a lovely person!

Don't know if it was fully intended but it could be seen as tactical voting to keep Matt D out of the dreaded dance off altogether not just a vote of confidence. What a nasty surprise for Alesha and Matt Cutler.
Having been given the lifeline I hope Matt D finally conquers those nerves and shows us the moves to match the splendid choreography he has practiced. What a treat it's going to be next week with those three if they are on form.
