Former Fagin to review the situation for BBC1

Scott dear saw BH as Fagin and thought he was very good! Also, despite my misgivings when I heard about the casting, I thought Timothy Spall was wonderful in the last televised series - played it quite differently but was very believable.

Scott dear,- you do keep us busy with all this packing and unpacking(i.e. adding and deleting to Favourites). I saw last Christmas' Oliver and though Timothy Spall excellent as Fagin. He is a very good actor anyway. Of course we will comment on whatever you wish, and will of course keep to the subject on the site you direct us too. Didn't we do well on SCD? Please don't let it be the Eurovision final in May. I don't think I can sit through that.

Had to laugh when I saw the prices of theatre tickets in -67. Oh, happy days!!!! My first meeting with the English currency was the year before on a school trip, and we had the de***l of a time to convert £, sh and p into Norwegian kroners.
Shirley,- you scare me now with saying that your round with the lurghy started with streaming nose and eyes,- hayfever symptoms. It started this morning, and I have just come back from town, and couldn't understand how the pollen count could be so high. I am a hay fever sufferer, so I thought I recognized the symptoms. Dear me, I haven't got the time for the lurghy now.

Oh dear, more Loppies with Lurghy!! Ohmms to all of you. Was going to go back to the Docs today, at Ploppy's nagging, but just as I was about to ring them I got a phone call from work saying that there are no staff in today as they're all down with the lurghy too, so I've had to drag myself in and feeling increasingly grotty, so I'm with you Auds in martyr mode!

And now it's snowing a blizzard!! Hope it stops before I have to venture back out in it!!

I was first then. HURRAY!!!! I had some good news today. So far, Syd's eye seems to be much better today, and he rang me after the nurse had been to see him this morning. He insists on cooking himself today, so that is one duty less today. I wouldn't be too happy to get close to him anyway if it is the lurghy I've got. Nose still running and the beginning of a head ace is starting up, so I think after lunch I'll get under the duvet. Bought a new Ruth Rendell today,"End In Tears", so I'll be all right for a while. Maybe I'll even loose 1/2 stone! Well, I can dream!

A couple of years ago we had an old time music hall evening at church, I sang "Oom pah pah" from Oliver, had great fun! I tried to get scollop to do "I'd Do Anything" with me but he was too nervous at the time. However, this year he has auditioned for his school play, Roald Dahl's Little Red Riding Hood.
Eva/JaneE Hopefully you'll have the milder version of the lurgy that I seem to have had. Stuffy nose and a cough, but short-lived (I hope!)
I blame the loppies for making me buy more clothes now. After receiving my Thud t-shirt I was so impressed with the fit and quality I went out to buy myself another black one and a white one, but when I got to M&S there were so many other stles and colours to choose from! I did restrict myself to just 2, for now!!

Ooooh just got my thud too. Really pleased with it. Love the washing instructions!

Eva I got the passport but can't open it, don't woory though as I've forwarded it to my sis and she'll print it off for me. Don't know what she'll have to say about it, the t-shirt got raised eyebrows then she noticed the label and said "ooh good quality" I told her that loppies deserved the best, in everything!
Talking of passports we've just had to renew 5, gulp! Mine, ploppy's and youngest scollop's had all expired, his was done when he was just a few weeks old originally so the photo could have been anyone. Eldest scollops were on mine so now have their own. Very expensive business and I begrudge having to fork out so much, but can't fault the local post office. did check and send and got them back in under 10 days.

Jane E and Auds and Eva - oooohhhhhmmmms a plenty for you! Ali, I played Nancy when we put Oliver on some years back - really enjoyed it, lovely part to play! I am really looking forward to I'd Do Anything! Should be some glimpses and mentions of the GO + will be nice to have a show to follow on a Saturday!! Nancy is a part which could be cast in various ways whereas Connie was so obviously the perfect Maria, there aren't as many preconceptions of Nancy. Oliver is a lovely show with good tunes. I did it at junior school with a bit of cross-dressing - I was a workhouse boy and one of Fagins Den!!

Excited loppy here :-) I had decided to book a cheap hotel for my May stay reckoning I oculd put up with anything for the GO! Yesterday we went to see my Mum and my brother - who spends money like it is going out of fashion - said the place I had chosen was known for knife attacks! eeeek. Anyway Mum said I was not allowed to stay there and got her cheque book out for my birthday present later this month. I have just booked a room at The Strand Palace Hotel which should ensure maximum time in GO vicinity for my visit:-) I feel a song coming on.....Let's all go down The Strand......all together now!

To back up. Over dinner we met up with a nice couple from Arizona. She was excited to be going to London to two concerts with Josh Groben and an English singer. I told her about you and Lee and the next thing I know she gets out her i-pod and shows me the video clip from a TV show. She said I was to be sure to tell you.

Carys that is brilliant news. The Strand Palace is only a minute or 2 from the Adelphi, and certainly is not known for knife crime. Much more suitable for a visiting Loppy to stay in. So pleased for you.

I was going to go home early today???? I guess I must have been having fun (go figure)as time has just flown! It's gone 5pm now!! As long as they've got good seats to just enjoy the show. So I tested the water to see if it would be the same reaction to Jo. Unfathomably so, it was. So I get to be seen as a very kind and thoughtful member of the family.... AND I don't have to watch BooHoo. phew. Sorry Jo4 - even for research purposes...

Back from doctors' with Sloppy now and guess what, sigh, yes we are back on the anti- biotics! However we have had progress as she was definately a bit better today (those ohhmms you see) and after this course the doctor is keeping her on a low dose to try to keep these infections at bay. Only one a day then so that is easy! Just this week to get through then, but worth it if it works!

Someone asked what time I have to get up. Well, it may seem late for some of you early birds but it's like the middle of the night to me! It was 5.40 today and tomorrow and 5am and 5.30am on the other days, depending on what time I start. I need more beauty sleep than most.

Martin-My dog likes to have the back door open no matter if it's freezing outside. OK in the summer. This time of year I'm up and down letting her in and out. Thought of a dog flap, but even I could crawl through it if it was big enough for her.

On the prevention of vices front. My T**co seems to have added a chap at the ciggie counter who says 'do you really want these?'. Made me feel quite guilty.

Gosh you poor things all having to get up in the middle of the night! To a slugabed like me seems pure torture. In my working life, mind I did have very odd hours, could start work any time of night or day, but when it isn't every day not so bad somehow. Just back from very nice meal to news that the GO has a throat infection - as someone said doubtless caught from someone at the scrum (just remember when I was sick and ailing I opted out of the scrum just in case - polishes halo) - unfortunately an occupational hazard! Lots of ooohhhhhmmmmms for everyone (including the GO) - I see Sir Weepsalot went on for Lee .....wonder how the proper understudies feel? Anyway off to bed now as I am an early riser too!! Sweet Meads all.

Good morning, all. Can't believe there are some loppies who stay in bed till after 8. Mind you, if I had a choice in the matter, I'd do that too. As it is, I was in bed just after ten last night because I've been nodding off during the day (anyone would think I had a busy schedule!) and I have 60-90 minute commute in the morning (depending on traffic) to work and have to be in before 8:00. So, that said, need a nice hearty breakfast, BHB...BHB? Poor baby, you look poorly? Did the CM drag you out of bed and put you to work? For shame! Morning all, very reduced service in the Bistro this morning. I have opened up the Porrly corner, lots of cushions, warm air, medicines, soothing hot drinks, duvets etc and very very pleasant music to listen to. Unfortunately the BHB is not well today so will be joining Auds, the CM, Eva, Jane, Fi and everyone else who is poorly. Geri has made tea, I have done the coffees. There is porridge on the go and lots of fresh fruit to pick in the Vitamin C. I have tried contacting DB and DT to see if they were free to help us out, but alas it was too short notice. It will therefore be serve yourself today. Meanwhile I will don my mask and go tend the sick and ailing.

CM reporting in. Definitely on the mend. Antoher quiet day I'm thinking and then tomorrow will be back on the service side of the counter. And yes Geri, The BHB is off sick, so stop fantasising - keep it for the literary masterpieces.

Think I will just help myself to a nice bowl of warming porridge and a large cup of Earl Grey. Already done the station run so been out and about in the cold early too. Not as early as some Loppies though.

Selfish, I know, but hoping that he'll be all better and bouncy later this month, we have a number of good reasons for hoping that I think, don't we?

Still no THUD t-shirt yet, still trying to figure out what the washing instructions would say if they're causing such amusement.

As far as night owls/early birds goes, I'm typically an early bird but often without the willpower to go to bed early enough to be an effective earlybird and at the moment with a certain number of DVD's to watch for the first time (thankyou Carys) I'm head over heels all over again and it's very hard to turn the tv off at night.
I did think that if I just had 2/3 days to switch off the world and focus all my attention on the GO that I'd be fine, but somehow I think that loppiness would keep calling me back.

Suex lots of us discovered to our cost with the valentine squares that the airmail service to Dublin is not fast. Not even slow. It was DIRE. My stuff took 2 or 3 weeks, and Maeve's was the worst taking at least a month. So good luck Karen2 and Geri. You might have your THUDs for Easter, but dont hold your breath.

Hi all.
Carys, we were stopping at the Strand Palace when my mother had to be rushed to the hospital. NOT the hotels fault, I hasten to add and they were very helpful for the duration of our visit.
I am the third in our house down ill now, mother is making a great recovery, she is at the convalescent stage and hating it. She only believes in two states of health, ill and better, therefore she has great trouble coping with this intermediate stage. McVitie (the gingernut cat) came down with a serious infection and we nearly lost him over the weekend. He is now back to his usual insane self, I think I am happy to say. I now have laryngitis, compounded by falling over on Sunday and chopping myself across the throat with a, fortunately lightweight, chest of draws I tipped over when I slipped over. I don't recommend this, it hurts and make breathing difficult. Talking is impossible so I am a stay-at-home today. I am busy making raffle tickets for our Community Association annual raffle.

Not that I am being paranoid BUT last time maggie and I had tickets fro joseph Lee was off sick week before and we had week of angst wil he/wont he - but he did!. Phoned See and will only refund if lee not on and wont know until just before and have to leave fro London befoe then. So lee off/ my friend def cant coem AND trains to London from here were all cancelled today. I am def not paranoid BUT I am beginning to think not meant to be.

If my trains are running maggie and I going to have "a grand day out" in London anyway and will prob go and see Lewis (tho will decide that over a long (and prob liquid) lunch.

BTW - can anyone recommend a suitable lunch place near to strand.

Off to try and organise my lift to station - in order to make full use of liquid lunch facilities.

On top of all this my last day at old work today and I did go to friends funeral. So a very emotional day (wont be able to cope if Boohoo cries tomorrow). YEEHAA! Just got 2 tickets for the 18th Oct. I was panicking as they seem to have practically sold out but mangaged to find some. They're c**p seats up in the gods but at least I'll be there with my newly acquired Loppy partner, Suzanna and they were a good price too so they must really be in a c**p place! Hopefully the whole audience will be up and going potty so we can sidle off to the aisle or somewhere to dance.

Seeing as no one seems interested in my three tickets next month I'm thinking of taking the dollops (even though they'd rather see Hairspray - cheek!). It's not that I don't think they'll enjoy it but they are so b****y expensive that I'd rather take them to the show they really want. Still, they don't know about them yet so it will be a good surprise.
And of course I get to go again!

Debbie - I don't think there are any really cr*p seats at the Adephi - I sat at the back of the Upper Circle for my first visit and the view was decent.

Fi 'Stranded in London' is next door to the Adelphi and very good if a tad expensive to us Northern types. I don't know if it does lunch. Mind you I can see the appeal of Covent Garden.

Sue-I was concerned about the shaking too, I hope that it is a normal dog trained for the TV. They train them to do one or two things, which they put on their agents books as their speciality. At one point I think I can see the tail wagging, as if pleased he's doing right.

Eva - thanks. We had wireless router fitted and since then hotmail has disappeared. I find it inconvenient but scollop is having severe withrawal syptoms (MSN withdrawal). Another silver lining. Seemingly our anti virus now thinks MSN (and hotmail) is a virus (i have to say i tend to agree)and they are battling it out. According to computer boffin we just have to wait oucome of this epic battle. call me cynical (and many do)but i suspect that means he doesnt know how to fix it.

Fi and Maggie, hope you have a lovely time in London tomorrow. Another couple of suggestions from here. Carluccios is just up Bedford Street - less than 5 minutes walk, and is fun. One the corner of Bedford and Henrietta is the pub we went to on 23rd. Much less noisy than the Porterhouse and nicer grub, an equally happy to let us linger. Lots of nice pasta places around too, and all at pretty reasonable prices.

And good luck with seeing Lee. The lady on the Forum who saw Lewis last night said he was 'rubbish' - no surprise there then. I guess it would be the one time you are likely to see this production you will be glad that Joseph isnt on stage more!!!!

Well, I'm firmly in the non techie status. I've spent the evening trying to set up a MySpace page for a neighbour. I did it, hooray. Then I noted I'd managed to get her age on it, not good. For those that need cheering up (all of us?), New magazine has a 1/4 page pic of Lee & Denise. Hi folks - just back from committee meeting (well meeting finished at 9.30 - see what a good chairman I am) and rest of evening was devoted to chat and a very nice bottle of wine! Secretary is a GO fan and pops onto Donna's site sometimes. I told her about the Big Loppy Meet so she has got tickets (in fact she came when we had our first visit in August). We whiled away a happy half hour chatting about the GO. Love to all the poorly Loppies and fingers crossed you will start feeling better soon. Fi and Maggie do hope you get the GO.....Pasta Browns is nice too (we went there during the Gerifest and I went there on Friday night before the ROH). Off to bed now so Sweet Meads all.

Morning all - and lots of ooooooohhhhhhhhhmmmmmmms for those in need! Sick Bay all ready for those in need, comes complete with duvets for snuggling in (found that very important when I had the lurgy). Oh Tabitha, no did realise MH was going to be over here! Well SueX the vagaries of any postal system never fail to amaze me...over Christmas we sent a box of presents over to S. Africa and it cost nearly £70 in postage - arrived about three weeks after Christmas! Amazing that Ringer's beat the Dub-Lops, although from Jenny's post - only just! Lots of positive vibes for Fi and Maggie for today - both for the journey and the performance. Also of course extra oooooooooohhhhhhhhhmmmmms for the GO! The BHB is still under the weather so self service in the Bistro again I am afraid. Good morning all. Been a hive of activity here getting the AKWD in a form that will print, and burn accurately while at the same time being 'locked' so no one can change their copy of it. Oh the joys of the digital world. Ploppys seems to have finally got it sorted and currently just checking which illustration prints best on the discs and then the burning will commence (have a feeling I have said that before sometime.......)

I had a very good night's sleep, woke up with a relatively clear head, and actually wanted some breakfast, so how is that for recovery? I have a theory (See,- I can even use my brain again. Geri,- shut up!) I had the start of the flu, but because I'd had the flu jab in October, it only gave me some short and sharp symptoms, then decided there was too much resistance and bu****ed off. What do you think?
Just for the fun of it, I'll cook the breakfasts today, so that will be toast, walnut rolls, scrambled eggs, some cold cuts(chicken, ham and pork), pate, tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, cheese (cheddar, Jarlsberg, Red Leicester), jam and marmelade, tea and coffee. It's like a small buffet, and what you'll find on a Norwegian breakfast table on a Sunday. I know it's Wednesday, but I have this Sunday feeling today, so I thought I'd treat you all. I'll be sending a basket over to BHB so he can sample some of it too.

Hi all. I can talk again today. Okay, I squeak like Minny Mouse but it is better than yesterday. I spent most of yesterday inhaling friars balsam and it works well, even if everything you eat is strange tasting afterwards.
No Shirley, my flat is not normally a disaster zone. I uaually reserve my abilities as a choas magnet for work. I am renowned for it there, hence the reason I became a first aider. It was self-defence. Everything happens on my shift so I thought I might as well know what to do when it did.

Maeve,- when you say you are going for a swim,- do you mean a SWIM IN THE SEA !!!!!!! I go all goosebumpy just thinking about it. I know it's supposed to be healthy, but although I used to swim in very cold temperatures when I was a child, I now need a nice warm Mediterranean Ocean or a swimming pool to tempt me.

This week's minor bit of news is that, as well as Barry Humphries joining the I'd Do Anything panel, Zoe Tyler is confirmed as not being involved in the show - and producer Cameron Mackintosh won't be sitting on the judge's panel until the semi-final stage.

What would have happened if they'd disagreed on a contestant? I assume they will have a voice coach still but not as one of the judges. I wasn't phoning around, Maggie was on the phone to me every few mins, for me to go online and find info on various things like who they could call to resolve their problem so they could call, and then finding where the ticket booth was in Leicester Sq etc.
Normally no problem but it was a hectic day, all the chiefs were about, nearly got a bit messy but as long as they had a good day that's all that matters, no doubt you will hear all the details later.
Now gonna have a shower, get me and the dog some dinner and wait for the call to pick Maggie up from the station (a mans work is never done. ha ha )

Not related to anything, I was always taught when I mended something it should always be tested before you said it was fixed. Once I didn't do that and after fixing the brakes on my car managed to drive all the way to the stables with only the handbrake working. After my lesson had to refix the brakes before I drove home down a big hill. So when you fix something it must be thoroughly tested. That's all I'm saying, or the blog police will have me again.

Diana-I thought you told me once that your Ploppy knew about LMAS site, or it may have been someone else. That was the day you were 'meeting friends' wasn't it? No mention of going to show again, at least it didn't have the date on the pic.

JaneE-Yes, Death becomes her, I liked it. Sort of comedy, bit black, but I thought very funny. I thought I did quite well getting 2 out of the 3 words in the title, as I usually forget film titles. I must admit I must have seen parts of it 4 times, although only once from the beginning.

OK back from evening out - sorry Diana really didn't like the show at all! Nor did Ploppy - breathed a huge sigh of relief that we had said we didn't want to do it!! Well done to CM and Ploppy for the disc burning etc! I wait with baited breath. Missed Torchwood of course as I was out, but hope to be back from ROH tomorrow in time to see the repeat! Good morning all. Already done the taking Ploppy the the station run this morning. Before I headed off peaked briefly into the BeachCafe/Bistro and there was a disconsolate BHB sitting on the doorstep waiting to get in. Seems he had a really scary evening - Karen - really - and when he is ill too. Shamefull. So let him rest today please ladies.

On that note, and as I am feeling a lot better - its me you have to deal with this morning so form and orderly queue from the left and please make sure you know what you want by the time you get to the counter. Happy to fix what you want but we need to keep things moving. People have to get to work you know.......

Another 3 orders came in for AKWD last night which is nice. I hope when they arrive and people start discussing it that a few more will be generated but in any event it has done a fabulous job bringing in more funds for Mildmay - a huge vote of thanks to our own Loppy Laureate, JaneE for the fabulous illustrations which you will soon be seeing for yourselves and to Carys for getting the illustrations formatted ready for publishing. Carol enjoy ROH today. I first went when I was at high school, an experience I'll never forget. The ROH wanted to bring opera into schools and make it more accessible so two schools in our area collaborated on a production of Carmen with 2 members of the RO taking the roles of Carmen and Don Jose. It was fantastic. I'm sure the children will have a great time and so will you! I'm off to Jo Jingles with my nephew now, not quite the same but if it gets him started into music it's a good thing.

Hello all - still recovering from last night (no not the red wine Ali, something else altogether!!). See, I told you I'd have him back with you bright and early and there he was waiting for you as promised!

And no Shirley, he did not have a scary evening, he enjoyed himself very much! He told me so! (But then again he also told Eva that we were painting the bedroom walls and that's definitely not what we were doing!!!! He's very diplomatic isn't he??)

Oh Dear - another little moment of certifiable loppiness to report!
I'm checking over my shoulder as I type this for the men in white coats.
Explanation -
Went down town at lunchtime to travel agent to pay for hotel in London next week and as I was standing at the counter waiting for my receipt to print out I was looking at the travel brochures arranged on the wall behind the girl serving me, suddenly what catches my eye but a certain technicolour dreamcoat right in the centre of the cover page and an arm swung out as the wearer spun around, except, sarcrilege - the face bl0cked out by a big ugly orange sticker advertising the travel agent!

Anyway, I asked her could I have a copy of that brochure and when she reached for it I said "could I have one without a sticker?" . She flicked through them and said "they all have stickers" so I then had to say "could I have the sixth one back, the one that doesnt' have his face covered?"

Well, to say that three girls and one guy behind the counter all looked at me as if I had suddenly grown horns would be putting it mildly, I had this goofy grin on my face and all I could mutter is "eh, we're going to London especially to see that show"

My face still resembles a ripe tomato!

Karen2,- I think what you did was perfectly understandable. I just have one question: What is wrong with horns?

And Karen,- I saw the paint stains on his hands.(I didn't know you were a fan of pink, too!) You can stop pretending.

My friend who went to the Adelphi on Tuesday said she was very disappointed. She said she thought Lewis was nervous and although he had a goodish voice he was obviously a boy playing a man's role. She said she thought the rest of the cast were very good and she will be booking again to see Lee. he was the reason she went to see Joseph.

Had a great day out with Fi yesterday.
We met at Kings Cross about 10-40am and off we went to have a look at Paddington Station, lots of people taking photos of the statue (It’s huge) Got to Adelphi to see notices on the doors saying Lee was unwell and under doctor’s orders would NOT be appearing today.
Not sure at that stage what to do so in to the foyer we went, this stressed lady said I have a spare ticket for today, LOL I said you will have a job selling that one, Lee is not on and as you can see people are changing their tickets.
Fi went to the desk to find out about the options, and as she had booked on line with See (she would have to phone them) but other people that had booked at the box office had been able to sort out other dates there and then.
To cut a long story short Fi phoned her friend and said about other dates and would send the tickets back to See and hopefully get another Wednesday that would be suitable for them both. (That’s good as Fi’s friend will get to see GO )
Fi and I said what should do - we could have a nice lunch out or go to a museum - never thought of saying lets get drunk! As I was there because Fi’s friend was unwell I didn’t mind what we did as it was so nice to have a day out.
As you all know we went to see SOM we got to the half price hut (the one that Martin could see on line but we couldn’t find it at first) http://home.clara.net/rap/half/
We met a lady at that booth who had tickets also for Joseph that night and she had come from Scotland to see the show (at the Adelphi there was a lady who had come from York) The tickets we got for SOM were £30 each the seats were in Row C (very good view) the ladies we talked to just in front of us had paid £55 each.
The show was most enjoyable and it was Aoife who was the leading lady.After the show Fi’s Ploppy met us and we went off to China town for a meal and then we went back to Kings Cross to make our way home.

just briefly surfacing from my sickbed - another loppy down with the bug.
Being ill has its compensations though: I was meant to be nitbusting scollop tonight, but instead I am, at present, witnessing the most entertaining spectacle (not the right word but you know what I mean) of ploppy trying to talk scollop through the procedure from outside the bathroom (Scollop's getting a bit shy at the ripe old age of 10.) So I am listening to these step-by-step instructions ('Are you in the bath yet?' 'I'm not hearing any splashing.' 'Now use the conditioner...') and having a chuckle to myself.
Fi and Maggie - glad to hear you made the most of your day in London.

Eva, sorry to say this but I will never ever buy Dell again. My father who bought a Dell laptop a few months ago has also had a few issues (partly down to him I think). Support do try to help but it's an Indian call centre and I've gone round and round in circles. It was only when I finally spoke to a specialist dept in Scotland (at least the two people I spoke to had a Scots accent) that I've finally got anywhere - the PC was sent there for repair. It's taken about 9 months to resolve the problem and I won't be surprised if it reoccurs (blue screening). Thankfully I have a 3 year warranty. Even Dell admit I've had a bad time. The laptop I bought recently is from PC World so if I have a problem I can go to a showroom and speak to someone in person!

Shirley, I think DS must be Digital Spy. I didn't know whether to be angry or laugh reading some of the comments. In the end I pitied them.

Hi all. Back home after a fab day out. King Tut was amazing. some of the artifacts were so beautiful. The whole exhibition was very well laid out, and we had audio guides with commentry by Omar Sharif. Well worth the money.It was my first visit to the O2 and found it more impressive than I thought I would. We came back along the river, and then caught a tube to Bond St and ate at a really good Tapas retaurant near there. very successful. Then I get home to find Lee is better and back, woohhoo, great news. The only downer of the day is I don't have my CD yet. Boo to my postal service. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow.
Have only managed to skim through today, but what I've picked up: Fi you are so right, life is far too short to stay in a job you are unhappy in. That Lewis site sounds a joke, but I don't suppose they are harming Lee so they can have their little delusions, bless.
Eva I am on a Dell PC as we speak, I did have a problem a while back with it and found them pretty good. The worst thing is the Indian call centre, as the guys' accent was pretty hard to understand, and I have spent a lot of time in India and working with them, but he really was very helpful and we got there in the end, and they sent an engineer the next day with the appropriate bits, sorted.

Geri, I'm intending to bind my copy like Carol. We use an electric punch & a binding machine - the reports are held together with plastic combs and have covers. I'm guessing Carol's place uses something similar. We used to have a Xerox that did thermal binding.

I'm feeling a bit perplexed as have just had a telephone call from Churchill Insurance about the prang I had in Tesco car park in Hoddesdon last Thursday.
I don't have a car and have never been to Hoddesdon as far as I know.
The woman on the phone had my name, address and tel. no. She said she'd sort it out and I asked her to get back to me but now I'm starting to worry. You hear so much about ID fraud.

Maeve I would contact the police - it might well be that it was a scam to check out the details they already have about you, and to use them to try and get you to give a bit more. Ring your local cop shop tout suit.

Maeve - definitely agree with Shirley, I was going to say call Churchill yourself and check with them, but which ever you do, I wouldn't just leave it.

I'm back from my lunch, and we had a lovely time,- at least I had. One of the other ladies is a devoted Lee fan, so we had a lovely chat about him, but the friend I came with, has for a long time just shaken her head at my obsession, so she nearly fell asleep while we were nattering away. When we were going back, she made me promise not to mention Lee once!!! I was good, I was, just started on a sentence once or twice, but she stopped me with a look.

Hi all. Thanks fro Ohhhhhmmmms - Yes job was better today - but mainly cos a)i worked (and I did - all day) from home and b) i decided I was in positive mood and would look on bright side whatever happened. I will stick at it for while and then make my decision - listening to my intuition much more this tiem. Work decided to send me all my emails from there to home in a batch upload and dont know how many there were but it crashed my email account. then phoned our customer services who couldnt help me due to "data protection" as ploppy opened account and i didnt have third party password!! I told him I didnt want him to sort out ploppy's (well i didnt actually say that)email just mine but he said still couldnt help me. Now that ploppy is home no-one answering phone there.

Really interesting to see and hear your ploppy Shirley - have saved to favs fro my scollop when he comes home. As Vali says all the cuts in Science R and D not good fro long term future of country - quite a lot in various papers on that subject today.

Good morning all.

Quiet in here this morning. Was laying quietly in bed this morning thinking that we are getting too lazy sitting around in the BeachCafe/Bistro and that now the lighter mornings are with us, and as soon as the weather gets warmer we will have to start our exercises and adventures on the beach again. Have been rather missing them. We will have to see if we cant persuade Aunty Eva to get us going again.

In the meantime lots of lovely fresh juices and smoothies ready to roll. I think we need all the vitamin C we can get!!! That and some freshly baked bread and some lovely farm churned butter. Yummy.

Morning, morning, lots to do as the temporary staff haven't arrived yet, so all help gratefully received! I've started the porridge, made the coffess, and am currently scrambling the eggs. Mushrooms a la vodka laready in oven, BHB kindly left some of his home made bread ready to pop in the oven for warming. Had a call from DT - he misland the sonic screwdriver but is on his way and he offered to collect DB en route. I've not yet managed to put out the tables and chairs, but I have made some nice Virgin and Bloody Marys with all the trimmings (must get one's priorities right). Out and about most of the day - doing front of house for Follow that Girl this afternoon Diana, so I'll see it again and will report back if it has grown on me (figuratively speaking of course). Fi glad you had a better day yesterday! Lots of ooohhhhhmmmmmmmmmmms for all those in need!

Brrrrr still rather chilly out there! i'm up and about early today so I'll help with the tables and chairs. Then some porridge and coffee to set me up for the day - loppy giggle meeting in Manchester later this morning should be fun. JaneE- we'll miss you and of course raise a glass! Enjoy your day.

Hi all, I've been here and about for hours trying to catch up, but I think the end of the last blog page is going to be lost for ever as far as I am concerned. Shirley, nice to see your ploppy on youtube.

Had a great holiday, Langkawi is really nice, not over touristy and very good value. We were lucky with the weather, the one wet day we were already booked to go snorkelling and a bit of rain didn't really matter:)) several wet evenings, but we found a really nice 'local' restaurant over the road from the hotel which had a roof, although the one thorough downpour/thunderstorm was a bit noisy as it's a tin roof. At one point all the lights went out and we wondered if we would see our dinners, but the lights came back on a 30 or so seconds later. Spent the last 3 days in Penang another island further down the west malaysia coast, been there several times but not for about 8 years, wow it's grown!! Really bustling, high rises going up everywhere, fuelled more by business than tourism, but then penang has a predominantly chinese population and they have always been the most business oriented of the Malay people. Still the beach area we went to hadn't changed too much, and the hotel was fantastic, the only 6 star on penang, although we were in the 5 star wing:)) but the 3 days there cost nearly as much as the 9 days in Langkawi - which is why it was 9:3 rather than the 6:6 we originally planned:)) Will get a video done shortly and online - note to self, must update my website:))

Found some new local breakfasts for the bistro next time it goes to the far east:)) We tended to have tea and biscuits in the room, then get our spot near the beach and take the early morning sun before having a brunch about 11.00, so the curry sauce with both Roti Jala (sort of crepes) and Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) went very well. The local restaurant did fantastic omelettes as well. Currently having fresh fruit platter withdrawal symptoms:))

Got home by the skin of our teeth, the only 2 standbys to get on our flight, out of 22 waiting, though we think 2 more got on the second one. Just heard from our friends, they got home this morning having deliberately stayed an extra day in Singapore, and about 15 people were left behind. Singapore is a very expensive place to get stuck in. We had to stay overnight there on the way out, due to flight times, and as there was an air show on, all the hotels were full, and we paid throught the nose for a room that didn't even have a window!!! Near the MRT (tube) station though, and just 2 stops from the town centre.

Just tried on the Thud T shirt which arrived late yesterday, it fits nicely, although I am determined to lose some weight. Provided it goes from round my waist the T shirt will still fit. Ploppy has an event this evening at which he should wear his DJ, but can't as it doesn't fit, and as he is back at work this morning doesn't have the chance to get another. He said last night he wouldn't go, but this am said he probably will go in an ordinary suit, hope so as the event is special for his brother, and scollop is going too. So he has an incentive to lose weight, and I shall keep him company.

I shall have to scrape some money up from somewhere and get the AKWD CD:))

Deanna mentioned she would let me have a DVD of the This Morning appearance that I couldn't programme Sky+ for (I can only do one week ahead) Deanna if you have it can you email stageloppies please? Watched the youtube of it, nice to see/hear PIB again. About to go and properly watch the GMTV stuff that I do have on Sky+ now ploppy is out of the way. I suppose I ought to unpack etc too:((

Oh, Jane, I think that is so generous of you to part with your lovely pictures. You are going to sign them, too, aren't you? I know which ones (uh, one...) I want...

Maeve - I saw FK in the Vortex in Windsor before it went to the West End. What did you think of it. I enjoyed it and she was brilliant but it was totally different to what I expected, very dark and depressing not my image of a Noel C play at all! Sat here watching the weather forecast for tonight and they are warning to keep away from the south coast - tricky. Severe gales threatened!!! I think when we leave the BeachCafe/Bistro today we really must batten down the hatches, make sure we dont leave anything loose outside that could go flying, and anchor the bins. Carys and Maggie, if you could keep a special eye on things overnight to make sure we dont get blown away - or who knows where we could end up!!! At least we dont have to worry about trees blowing over onto us down here.

I painted my garden walls pink. Yep, I have a pink garden with lovely pink flowers.
Of course, I got some comments from my right hand neighbours but they are used to it now.
This year I will through some orange flowers in the mix. I love that combination.

Yesterday I spoke with my sister and we decided to book another night in London in October.
I will be staying three days instead of two,so now I can squeeze in a visit to another MT.

Morning all

Enjoyed our little jaunt last night but it is good to be home!

Well things went bump in the night for me again. No not another earthquake but I had a very eventful night. About 2am I was woken up by a loud noise from downstairs. I shot up in bed knowing I'd heard something but not knowing what! Sat there listening. Ploppy was snoring away at the side of me (he's deaf on one side and if he sleeps on his hearing side he can't a hear a thing!!). All went quiet but I was unnerved then so decided I'd be brave and go see what it was. Grabbed hold of one of my shoes (yeah I know what good was that going to do - well it does have a 3 inch heel so might have done some damage!!). Opened the kitchen door and something jumped out at me. I was so startled I dropped the shoe so it wouldn't have been any good any way!! It was Ploppy's golf bag!!!!!! He'd left it in the kitchen after cleaning his clubs and the cat had knocked it over against the kitchen door which was the noise I'd heard, then, of course when I opened the kitchen door the bag fell on me! I could have chucked the flippin shoe, golf bag, clubs and the lot at Ploppy who was still snoring away when I got back to bed!!!

The weather here is lovely at the moment, bright and sunny, but there's a real feel of the calm before the storm - better go check that my fence is still secure! Or maybe not - perhaps the BHB could come and help me mend it again!!

Bump in the night stories always remind me of a few years back when scollop was quite small and our back door was hit by lightning, I was woken by the most enormous bang and the alarm going off, the lightning caused electricity to travel from the back door down the wire to the main alarm fuse box and blew the whole thing. My heart was still racing hours later. But worse was four nights later when the alarm had been fixed and I woke to it ringing again, I went slowly down the stairs to find the front door wide open, turned off the alarm in the hallway and then had to investigate downstairs (with heart racing again) to see if someone had got in, but thankfully it was just that the door must have blown open and set the alarm off. Last thing I always do now before heading up is pull on the door to check it's clicked tight.

Pink and especially, purple fences sound lovely. I had a blue shed at one stage, much to my neighbour's amusement. Luckily we're very good friends because she laughed heartily at me when I tripped over the paint and split it all over the grass and my own feet in flipflops, she had been chatting to me over the wall while I worked and she and scollop had a hilarious time hosing my legs and feet so I wouldn't walk it onto the patio.

Got my SSE too and copied it to my laptop, along with AKWD, to read while away over Easter. Had a fun morning copying various files from PC to laptop and downloading some software to laptop. Then reconnected modem lead to PC and it couldn't find the internet so was panicking, especially given the awards later today. Turn everything off, rechecked the connection and thankfully all OK now, phew! It's enough to give you a heart attack.

It's a beautiful bright and sunny day at present, but the wrath of the climate gods is about to decend upon us if our genial weather man, Martin King, is to be believed. I had planned to work on that schizophrenia essay (I was between two minds about it, though!), but the university's site is down so I can't do my research. Shame -- guess I'll have to blog instead! I'm glad the Enterprise story has arrived safely; that Shirley is a dynamo, isn't she? You might notice there are a few new scenes here that weren't in the original story. Oh, and I'm still working on that 'special project'. I'm not happy with it, though, so might need to scrap it and start over. Oh the challenges of being a laureate...

Diana I just saw some photos on the Dutch Lee Mead Website of you and Lee. Well they are photos of the GO of course but you appear in them.

Anne-I just love those syrup waffles, hot cup of tea, rest the waffle on the top of the cup to warm, so yummy. We have them 'imported' by a Dutch collegue, then I found the farm shop at the end of my village sells the proper Dutch ones, as well as Welsh ones (which are good Carys, but not quite the same).

Karens-no offence, too tired to care last night and today.

My 2 beginners were lovely today. We walked for the whole time, suited little old horse, but Meggie got a bit peeved. It was the first walk only ride she has ever done, don't think she could understand why we at least didn't do a trot. A successful ride is one where we all get back without anyone hitting the deck and the extra cherry is the customers enjoy themselves, but safety (horse and rider) comes first even if you p**s off the customers.

Oh forgot, we did have a horse eating dragon (lorry) pass us on a single track road. Old one was a star and just walked past, he is getting better with age.

I've been out to lunch with a theatre group I belong to, Desmond Barrit, our president, now in The History Boys, gave a short talk. An interesting thing he said when asked about the differences between working on the stage in London or New York, was how understudies are considered. In London, he said, they are thought of as quite different and inferior to leading actors and it's very difficult to cross over, whereas on Broadway they are treated much better as potential actors.
It seems that Lee did exactly the right thing in going for ADWD, I remember he said he'd never have been seen by BK or ALW otherwise.

Maeve-interesting. I would have thought that if you were in charge of a production you would want to check that the understudy was up to par, as people may be dissatified and pass on by word of mouth. It may effect ticket sales when say the lead goes on holiday for a week and you may have to offer those tickets at a cheaper price. Not that I've ever heard of that happening........

On Friday I had an invitation for a meeting tomorrow in central London, very near a certain theatre. Meeting 4-6pm, I got very excited for a nanosecond. Work paying for me to go to London... and what could I do after the meeting. Dash it, I then remembered, the understudy is on, so what with the weather forecast. Think I'll reply to say too short notice.

Well been on the website for the awards, and the video won't be live! There is a man, Matthew who has a blog going and some of the Lmas and two of the conga girls (whoever they are!) are asking questions. Useful info so far:
Lee has been seen rehearsing, he will not yet tell what! He is wearing a tux, yum! Connie is also performing, (Could they be duetting again?!) Matthew has no control on video content, so we may never see any of this! BOO!

I have also been trying to follow the link from LMAS, but the problem is you have to keep refreshing all the time, and heavens know when they will actually send anything live on the videolink. Evening, just done a mammoth catch up. Still need to see some of the links but I'm still getting dizzy spells so I don't intend to stay up too late tonight. Everyone keeps telling me to take it easy, but they are the same people who will moan if I start saying "No" when they ask me to do something!!

Karen I loved your golf bag story. Similar thing happened here the other night, one of my cats likes to sleep in the wash basin?? and she jumped in or out during the early hours and knocked over all the toothbrushes, paste etc. Like your ploppy mine slept through it too while I went to investigate, he then nicked all the duvet and moaned when I dragged it back!
Said feline friend is now stretched out along the back of the sofa looking oh so cute and innocent!

I’m probably arriving just as most of you are turning in for the night, so it may be hi and bye from me! But then maybe the Awards blog will keep you up later than usual. I’ve spent the day at Sloppy’s house and then on the ward; ensuring everything is as ready as it can be for her return home tomorrow….(fingers crossed). It will be very strange for her after 9 weeks as an inpatient. She has become quite institutionalised during that time but we have the care plan in place and praying it all works out.
Karen2, sorry for your loss. The death of a loved one is always so difficult to deal with but your positive attitude in seeing blessing in her death, will I hope, help you through, particularly for tomorrow.

Karen what a shame you didn’t pick up the info about the Manchester meet if you live close, would have been really nice to meet you. Can’t remember if I mentioned it here, suppose I assumed everyone checks out LMAS .....soz. Everyone was really keen to meet again so I will ensure you get to know about it when another date is set. Thanks for your attack of the golf clubs story – had me laughing but when I read Geri’s cheeky response and then your sink comments ……! Ploppy came through to find out what was amusing me so much and he had a good chuckle too.

Auds - yes, met Joanne yesterday and what a delightful loppie she is. We had a fab time, thanks for all the well wishes guys, we didn’t quite reach the heights of Dublop marathon 8 hours but our 5 hours flew over and we could have gone on and on………BTW tea and scones were ahemmmm very nice ‘hic’.

Everyone involved with this award got huge amount of applause from the entire room. There have been such strong performances tonight, but those final three were incredible.

Andrew Lloyd Webber gives a speech lauding musical theatre as an art form, and specifically name checks Tim Rice, Cameron Mackintosh, Trevor Nunn, Hal Prince, Maria Bjornson and Robert Stigwood.

Phew thank goodness that is over! Sounds as though Lee, Connie and Elena Roger were the highlight of the evening, unless Matthew (the blog guy was pandering to his audience!!don't think so though) If that's the case hopefully they will be on the video. Lee probably had a point to prove as he wasn't nominated!

Been following the awards blogs etc, now dead on my feet, but have to say I heard MB say in the video it was the first time he'd been nominated, so no real problem that Lee wasn't. But.... the fact that Lee was there to do a performance is great, because he gets heard by all the PTB and is effectively cementing his position in the business.

Morning all, and my what a wild wild and windy one it is - woke earlier this morning as the wind had blown the bedroom window wide open, the temperature had dropped and the rain was lashing down. Secured window and fortunately eventually managed to go back to sleep. Trees at the bottom of the garden are almost bend in half (neighbour's lelandi). So, I think we need to have lots of porridge and coffees on the go for those hardy enough to venture out to the Bistro. On a more serious note - hope everyone's homes, gardens, etc. are ok - looks like it is very nasty out there! Doubtless we will get the usual "don't travel unless absolutely necessary" message - sadly no-one seems to tell the bosses that!

Morning all. No, not much good about it today. It's really vile out there. Trees laying almost flat and rain lashing down. I don't think I'll venture out at all today(that is when I get back home from the Bistro.) It's now blue sky and sunshine in central London! From one extreme to the other.

Phew - just caught up on all yesterday's and this morning's posts! Bizarrely the sun is now shining, the wind has dropped and it is no longer raining. I suspect this is the lull before the next front coming through which I believe is predicted in time for going home! My tube line had problems so didn't get in until 8.50 today. Then we had lost all our Word directories so had to wait for IT to sort that out......good start to the week!! Geri/Shirley just printed out the SSE and loved it - big thanks! Like the changes you put in Geri and am just off to bind it up! Haven't get managed to run off AKWD as our colour printer was on the blink last week, so hoping to find time today!

Agree, weird weird weather. I drove into work about 2 hours ago and it was mayhem. It was dustman day and they were emptying the bins and no sooner had they put them down empty than the lids and the little recycling bins were flying everywhere. Scarey. I felt sorry for everyone walking to stations because they were all drenched. And now as you say the sky is blue and the sun is out.

Listened to a little bit of DVO on my drive in. I don't listen to it all the time but flick over if my usual station isn't playing something I like. She is such a loppy. Johnny Vaughn had taken his children to see Joseph and was asking if all shows get a standing ovation. DVO leapt in saying " No but Jospeh always does because Lee's in it." Bless her.

I saw Vantage Point at the weekend. I really enjoyed it but as soon as I left the cinema and had time to draw breath started picking holes at the implausability of some of the plot. Still I'd recommend it.

Forgot to say but I read AKWD all the way through yesterday morning. It really is brilliant. I wish I had a talent. Has anyone lent it to any non loppies to read? I loved it so much I want others to read it but wonder if they'd appreciate it as much not knowing all the characters and "in" jokes.

Lee came in at no. 125 selling 121,500 copies between 19/11/07 and 31/12/07 (and of course he has sold more since then).

The cast recording of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" came in at No. 168 with 91,000 copies sold.

John Barrowman's album "Another Side" was no. 137 - selling 108,500 copies.

Pauline2,- thank you for your consern. Goldie was moved pronto to the driveway of the neigbour on the other side. She certainly doesn't like this weather and wanted to come indoors. I pointed out that the doorway was too narrow! Garage, you say? The garage is used as my shed and utility room, so betweem Mrs. Bosch, large freezer and all my gardening paraphenelias, there isn't much room for a car!

It was our recycling day today as well Alison and by some good Karma we put it out in the lull, and they collected it before it got too nasty again.

I spent most of yesterday and this morning making up for my Lee famine of the last 2 weeks by watching ADWD the series and my Living the Dream DVD, and am now feeling better:))

Just consulted a medic friend about my dizziness, she says it is probably either benign postural vertigo (which I've had before) or labyrinthitis following on from my recent cold. Just need to be patient and wait for it to pass!

What a pity they didn't film Lee at the Olivier awards? Well they might have and just not posted it. They filmed the entire What's on Stage Awards and only posted some of the footage. Languishing somewhere may be the wonderful footage of him singing CED - it is so frustrating.

Well in this part of the West it is nothing like as bad as last night. My Ploppy tells me the gusts this afternoon are less than a quarter of what they were last night dont know if it is still building or if it just isnt as bad as they thought it would be. I wonder how the Dublops are. They cop it a lot sooner than anyone else....

I would love to have seen Lee singing CED last night. I was lucky enough to see him sing it in concert at the ALW Gala last year and it was fantastic, and we all know how his voice has grown and developed since then so it must have been awesome.

Had a bit of a scare last night. My cousin was on the verge of telling her daughter she couldn't join her, thinking that I was very bravely foregoing MY Joseph ticket for her... YIKES!!!! I had to call her daughter and make SURE she didn't try anything like that behind my back. I admitted, in no uncertain terms, that I couldn't bring myself to watch the show WITHOUT the GO being Jo. I tell you how much they're going to love the show - they saw AoL last weekend and loved it to bits!!!! Fortunately for them, it's all about the 'tunes'. I said I might pop along to Avenue Q whilst they're at the Adelphi. I'll see how our timing coincides. At least them being around will keep my mind off (who am I kidding?) a very important date.

Just came into w**k for a couple of hours to make up for missing this morning.
Shirley, thanks for wondering about the Dublops, we had quite a storm last night but I haven't heard of any major problems. There was one attempted landing at the airport which had to divert to Belfast before trying again later, they said 15 of the passengers decided to stay on terra firma and finish their journey by road. I'm sure that by the time Jane and I are flying at the weekend it'll all be calm and lovely again.

It was lashing down first thing this morning which made getting to the funeral very wet and miserable but thankfully it had brightened up for going to the cemetery which made it easier as there were two wheelchairs and a quite a few elderly relatives which kept us young able bodied ones quite busy.

Yvie - thanks for the link to those pictures, wow the close up of him is just breath taking - that man just keeps getting more beautiful, I love the little stubble and those eyes are the most intense...
Also think the one of him and Denise is lovely, they make a gorgeous couple.

Glad to see all Loppies are in one piece after all the winds and rain. We had blue skies in Slough, just at playtime when it was my duty, so I had to go outside. It was cold, and children rush about, a bit like cats and dogs when it's windy!

I work all day on Mondays, and we had a typical day today. A member of staff collapsed and an ambulance was called. Later a boy in yr1 had a tummy bug and had a huge "accident"!! I very kindly took the class while the teacher cleaned him up!!(Rather her than me) Then at home time an angry parent was shouting abuse at the deputy head! Luckily the staff meeting was cancelled. I'm being observed for my appraisal tomorrow so I've printed out some bird pics. Was tempted to do some of GO as I know my appraisor voted for him and is going to the Adelphi, but I restrained myself.
Hope the weather is better tomorrow and that Eva's Goldie isn't too traumatised by the falling tiles.
Ali I had benign positional vertigo for 6 months, but went for physiotherapy and it was cured in about 10 minutes!! The wait for the appointment was the annoying thing.

Hello everyone - did you miss me?? No!! (sobs quietly in corner). Machine played up when I got home from the office (perhaps it was suffering from wind) and wouldn't let me post, or even onto website - knew it was my machine as it kept freezing my email account too and I couldn't reply or send anything after my initial one attempt! Much gnashing of teeth and muttering! Now it's decided to behave and everyone has gone to bed. So Sweet Meads all!

Morning all. Oh, Danny Boy, I need a very strong leaded this morning. I had one of those night when I'm still reading at 4am, so the brain (yes, Geri, I DO have one!) is a bit wuzzy still. I don't know why I can't sleep 8 hours when I finally go to sleep, but no,- no hope of that! I know, I know that I'm a bit grumpy, but it helps looking at you!
Diana,- I saw that link on LMAS and nominated guess who for the award again. I don't think they can ignore all the nominations just because he won last year. I did look on the website, and nowhere it said that last years winner couldn't be nominated again.
It looks lovely outside today, but it's still very windy, and as it's a northerly wind, it's very cold. You would think those Scandinavians had better things to do than send their icy winds this way.( And Geri,- I wasn't thinking about the Rennie kinds of winds!)

Hope all are Hale and Hearty and that there's nobody feeling poorly, a colleague sitting quite near me is coughing a lot and I'm tempted to start wearing a face mask as I want to remain in full health but I don't think she'd appreciate it!

Pauline2 - thanks for the video links, I dont remember seeing them originally. Great idea Shirley to nominate LD as well as Lee for ROTY. Latest review from Abs on the Forum makes interesting reading http://pub29.bravenet.com/forum/2462310622/show/805559 10 rows of emapy seats at the back of the stalls, I do feel sorry for the rest of the cast (and Lewis as well). I wouldn't think he'll want to cover any more of Lee's holidays - about time he went for something he can call his own

It is nice and calm here, near Heathrow, thankfully. I just wish Spring would hurry up and come. I love it when the leaves appear on the trees again - makes me feel that summer is right around the corner (Chorus of what summer here?)

Shirley2 - I so agree about Lewis. He should go and find something else to make his own and not hang around on Lee's coat-tails, because it doesn't seem to be working.
Personally I think Lee is now the quintessential Joseph to most people and whoever follows him (if it continues) will never get anywhere close to the enthusiastic reception he is getting.

...I think the computer lurghy is following me - my mouse just died - IT came and they couldn't get it resuscitated, so after much wringing of hands, whole computer refusing to work etc. I now have a spanking brand new mouse, very svelte - silver grey with racy red flashing underside. Her name is Minnie (obviously) as the previous one was Mickey....hoping that as she is a lady she will understand what hard work is and performed better than her predecessor!

Dang it - just did a nice long post then did something silly with the keys, hit the Ctrl button and something else - and whole lot disappeared. It went something like this...

JaneE - don't do Leeds a disservice. You know the GO likes to go to places around the UK with his folks... it's entirely possible he could be in your neck of the woods - keep your eyes peeled.
