Former Fagin to review the situation for BBC1

The first dribbles of I’ll Do Anything news have started to trickle through, with the announcement that the judging panel for 2008’s BBC1 musical theatre talent show will include Barry Humphries alongside old hands Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Barrowman and Denise Van Outen.

Those who only know Humphries via his alter egos, housewife superstar Dame Edna Everage or Australia’s cultural attaché Sir Les Patterson, may be scratching their heads at his inclusion — but he is actually better qualified than any of the other judges when it comes to Lionel Bart’s Oliver!

When the musical premiered in 1960 at the New Theatre (subsequently renamed first the Albery in 1973, then the Noel Coward in 2005), Humphries took the role of Mister Sowerberry, the undertaker, and recorded the song It’s Your Funeral for the original London cast recording.

A revival in 1967 (described in The Stage as ‘a half-price season… prices will range from 6/6 to £1’) at the Piccadilly Theatre saw Humphries take on the role of Fagin, opposite Marti Webb as Nancy. He took on the mantle again thirty years later in 1997 in Cameron Mackintosh’s Palladium revival, which originally starred Jonathan Pryce.

In televisual terms, the most recent actor to take on Fagin was Timothy Spall in last Christmas’s serial. You can hear my interview with him in the latest edition of The Stage Podcast.

Scott dear saw BH as Fagin and thought he was very good! Also, despite my misgivings when I heard about the casting, I thought Timothy Spall was wonderful in the last televised series - played it quite differently but was very believable.

Scott dear,- you do keep us busy with all this packing and unpacking(i.e. adding and deleting to Favourites). I saw last Christmas' Oliver and though Timothy Spall excellent as Fagin. He is a very good actor anyway. Of course we will comment on whatever you wish, and will of course keep to the subject on the site you direct us too. Didn't we do well on SCD? Please don't let it be the Eurovision final in May. I don't think I can sit through that.

Had to laugh when I saw the prices of theatre tickets in -67. Oh, happy days!!!! My first meeting with the English currency was the year before on a school trip, and we had the de***l of a time to convert £, sh and p into Norwegian kroners.
Shirley,- you scare me now with saying that your round with the lurghy started with streaming nose and eyes,- hayfever symptoms. It started this morning, and I have just come back from town, and couldn't understand how the pollen count could be so high. I am a hay fever sufferer, so I thought I recognized the symptoms. Dear me, I haven't got the time for the lurghy now.

OOhh 3rd!!!!

In fact 2nd, if Carols post has the correct date????

Thanks for the new (old) home Scott dear. We dont mind doing a refurb. Being one of the 27 year old Loppies I remember Ron Moody's Fagin fondly, but agree that Timothy Spall did a really good job of it.

Sorry Eva, jope it is not what you have, but they really were very noticeably my first symptoms, and as soon as I mentioned that to Carol, she said - Oh Dear - so the same with her too.

Thanks Scott! I've always perfered old houses to new-builds anyway!

Eva, there are so many of these bugs going round, with any luck yours might not be the same as Shirley's - Ohmmms anyway

Karen2 - I've sent a photo of the red wedding dress to Stage Loppies for you. In case you wanted to see it!

Thanks Scott. We'll go wherever you lead us - well within reason.

Hi all

Thanks for the new/old home Scott.

Oh dear, more Loppies with Lurghy!! Ohmms to all of you. Was going to go back to the Docs today, at Ploppy's nagging, but just as I was about to ring them I got a phone call from work saying that there are no staff in today as they're all down with the lurghy too, so I've had to drag myself in and feeling increasingly grotty, so I'm with you Auds in martyr mode!

And now it's snowing a blizzard!! Hope it stops before I have to venture back out in it!!

I did get a laugh out of your new monicker though Shirley!

I was first then. HURRAY!!!! I had some good news today. So far, Syd's eye seems to be much better today, and he rang me after the nurse had been to see him this morning. He insists on cooking himself today, so that is one duty less today. I wouldn't be too happy to get close to him anyway if it is the lurghy I've got. Nose still running and the beginning of a head ace is starting up, so I think after lunch I'll get under the duvet. Bought a new Ruth Rendell today,"End In Tears", so I'll be all right for a while. Maybe I'll even loose 1/2 stone! Well, I can dream!

Thank you for the new home Scott - kiss, kiss. Sue, no I posted when Scott first put this page up (just to prove I don't stick solely to our page - are you impressed Scott dear?). Oh Karen snow! We have some nasty grey clouds gathering here - it was lovely this morning, blue skies, sunshine and very cold! Aunty Eva the lurghy is streaming eyes, streaming nose, temperature, aches and pains, catarrh, dizziness, tiredness, chesty cough......hope you haven't got it as it was horrid. Bed is the only place to be!

Scott dear just read all of your post from the previous one, and you teaser you! You know us we are the NOW culture, we want to know what's coming up instantly!! I did, actually, feel a little sorry for the person who came to comment on the Eurovision.......we did try to make her feel welcome, honest! ...and we did talk about the Eurovision selection on Saturday night - does that make us bona fide???

Oooooo so excited just got back in to find my thuds on the door mat!!! They are so fantastic love them and the washing instructions will follow, promise. Just want to know if anybody knows a good medium? I take it we have to contact the GO through one?
Sorry excuse me Scott very rude. Thankyou for our new home, you know we will do just as we are told..... well we will try!!
Eva ohhhhhmmmms for you, really hope you are not coming down with this lurgy.
Ohhhhhmmmmms for Karen and Auds, though if you need a stand-in Auds for a certain date I will volunteer, anything for you!!

Thank you again Scott for our home, Suex and Shirley my Thud T- Shirt arrived today and it fits lovely (Thank you Suex because you went and bought that size for me) Eva, just received my Passport thank you - will we need it next week ?(ooh lots of thank you - in this post ,where’s my Oscar ?)

A couple of years ago we had an old time music hall evening at church, I sang "Oom pah pah" from Oliver, had great fun! I tried to get scollop to do "I'd Do Anything" with me but he was too nervous at the time. However, this year he has auditioned for his school play, Roald Dahl's Little Red Riding Hood.
Eva/JaneE Hopefully you'll have the milder version of the lurgy that I seem to have had. Stuffy nose and a cough, but short-lived (I hope!)
I blame the loppies for making me buy more clothes now. After receiving my Thud t-shirt I was so impressed with the fit and quality I went out to buy myself another black one and a white one, but when I got to M&S there were so many other stles and colours to choose from! I did restrict myself to just 2, for now!!

Ooooh just got my thud too. Really pleased with it. Love the washing instructions!

Clearly what I had first time round was just a bad headache!!!!!!
Per symptoms as described by Carol & Shirley, I am sure that I NOW truly have THE lurghy..
Oh geez, that means more time off work.. I hate that.
339 to go

oops should have said "styles", someone has been eating while using the laptop and there are crumbs under some of the keys making them stick!
How rude of me, ta very much Scott, liking the new pad!
Eva I got the passport but can't open it, don't woory though as I've forwarded it to my sis and she'll print it off for me. Don't know what she'll have to say about it, the t-shirt got raised eyebrows then she noticed the label and said "ooh good quality" I told her that loppies deserved the best, in everything!
Talking of passports we've just had to renew 5, gulp! Mine, ploppy's and youngest scollop's had all expired, his was done when he was just a few weeks old originally so the photo could have been anyone. Eldest scollops were on mine so now have their own. Very expensive business and I begrudge having to fork out so much, but can't fault the local post office. did check and send and got them back in under 10 days.

Jane E and Auds and Eva - oooohhhhhmmmms a plenty for you! Ali, I played Nancy when we put Oliver on some years back - really enjoyed it, lovely part to play! Pauline2 - you'll be killed in the crush, but I am sure that Auds will be up fighting fit, come hell or high water!!! I am willing to go along as her nurse as I understand the symptoms so well!

Have just text Fi as I could be her friends stand in, I’m not working Wednesday and think I’m in need of a treat and the train station is 10mins from my house and I’m sure she would go to Kings Cross and I can get to there no problem .But will still do Oooooohhhhmmmmms for Fi’s friend
Ooooooooohhhhhhhmmmmmmmmms for all lurghy Loppies

I am really looking forward to I'd Do Anything! Should be some glimpses and mentions of the GO + will be nice to have a show to follow on a Saturday!! Nancy is a part which could be cast in various ways whereas Connie was so obviously the perfect Maria, there aren't as many preconceptions of Nancy. Oliver is a lovely show with good tunes. I did it at junior school with a bit of cross-dressing - I was a workhouse boy and one of Fagins Den!!

Excited loppy here :-) I had decided to book a cheap hotel for my May stay reckoning I oculd put up with anything for the GO! Yesterday we went to see my Mum and my brother - who spends money like it is going out of fashion - said the place I had chosen was known for knife attacks! eeeek. Anyway Mum said I was not allowed to stay there and got her cheque book out for my birthday present later this month. I have just booked a room at The Strand Palace Hotel which should ensure maximum time in GO vicinity for my visit:-) I feel a song coming on.....Let's all go down The Strand......all together now!

Gosh Auds, you have such good friends all offering to stand in for you if you are not better in time!!! Maybe we should break the news to them all that if we are crawling on our (shrunken) stomachs we are going through that door, but it does sound just a tad like tempting fate so I wont say it!!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMSSSSSSSS a plenty for Auds, Eva and JaneE, and anyone else who needs them. Have been a heavy user for the last week, so time to start repaying my debt.

Glad everyone is pleased with their THUDs. I looked at so many Tees both in the real and virtual world, but much preferred the M&S ones, better quality, style and range of sizes. And then Sue found that fantastic screen printer who did a lovely job for us at a really good price. And I LOVE that Sue gave her a copy of Lee Mead to work to.

Maggie, wouldnt it be nice if you can go to Jo with Fi.

Now how about this. Just had an email from my step Mum in Canada. They are just back from a cruise around the Hawiian Islands. Let me cut and paste part of her email. Its MAGIC

I thought you would be interested to know I watched a video of Lee and Josh Groben whilst crossing the Pacific.

To back up. Over dinner we met up with a nice couple from Arizona. She was excited to be going to London to two concerts with Josh Groben and an English singer. She was going with a gal she had met on-line from Florida who is also in Josh's fan club. I told her about you and Lee and the next thing I know she gets out her i-pod and shows me the video clip from a TV show. She said I was to be sure to tell you.

His fame sure is spreading ladies....

Carys that is brilliant news. The Strand Palace is only a minute or 2 from the Adelphi, and certainly is not known for knife crime. Much more suitable for a visiting Loppy to stay in. So pleased for you.

Pauline2 - your of are too, too kind, but please, don't hold your breath - a cat in hell's chance is the phrase that comes to mind in respect of you offer...
schnifff
and I'll have my very own private Nurse by the sounds.
Thanks for all the ooooohhhhhmmmmms. I am greedily accepting all that's offered.
Thanks for the new pad Scott dear - Jo4 loves it when we move house - get's to update her charts..
Carol - are you a stage tart then? Hopping from blog to blog... Posting here, posting there...

I was going to go home early today???? I guess I must have been having fun (go figure)as time has just flown! It's gone 5pm now!! I HAVE to come in tomorrow - but I think it will only be a half day (the boss, who's just back now, will not want me spluttering all over her I'm sure). It just means I get to be behind in things again...
The suckers, I mean lucky people who got the Sir WeepsAlot tickets are my cousins (so I can't be too unkind - but they are the country bumpkins in Derbyshire, who enjoy a trip to the Old Smoke and don't care who plays the lead as long as they have fun - I remember they came down to see SoM and when I said, "but Connie doesn't do matinee's" they said - who cares? As long as they've got good seats to just enjoy the show. So I tested the water to see if it would be the same reaction to Jo. Unfathomably so, it was. So I get to be seen as a very kind and thoughtful member of the family.... AND I don't have to watch BooHoo. phew. Sorry Jo4 - even for research purposes...
Right - now I really am going to go home. May see you L8R..
loveyoumissyou.... mwah mwah mwah!!!

ooo, very ungracioius of me - plenty of the old Ooohhhmmmms to Eva and JaneE too... (when I'm sick I can only think of me me me. Terribly shallow)

Ohmming back to you Auds and to any other Loppies in need.

And thanks for all the Ohhmmms for me, they must be working because I'm feeling much chirpier now. Which means I can't have THE lurgy just A lurgy!

Carys- glad you'll be staying in a nice hotel - report back on it please - I'll be staying there myself in summer.

Shirley - I loved that e-mail! And agree - the M&S T shirts are excellent!

Hi everyone, I've been away house, children and cat sitting for my daughter since last Thursday, while she was on a study weekend.
So I've spent most of the afternoon catching up with all your news and links.
I did manage to see This Morning on Friday, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't an actual interview but the banter with Philip was funny and loved PiB.

Geri, cograts. on the 'first' for your essay.

Eva, I will e-mail you with my address, what a lovely idea for birthdays mine is coming up April 7th.

Fi, you are the only other person I've heard of who watches(d) Damages, I think its really good and Glen Close is terrific. I hope the job was a bit better today, a new job is always awful to start with until one settles in, it's bound to improve.

Shirley2 congrats on your son's engagement, so glad you like the prospective DiL.

Ali, I loved your son's poem, so sweet and funny.

Debbie, thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed yourself, you can never be sure with that show, not.

This is my third personality.(E va and Diva being the other two). Sneezing seems to be the most meaningful thing I've been doing for the last couple of hours. I followed your advise, Carol, and stayed in bed, so now I have Tilly B*gger with me in bed. She is balancing on my knee, and behaving herself beautifully. (To those who don't know, Tilly B*gger is my new laptop. Don't worry, I haven't gone over to the other side!)
I agree that I'd Do Anything will be a good thing to keep us busy on Saturday nights. The Norwegian Jury will be there with bells on.
Carys,- what a nice Mum you've got! I think The Strand Palace is used a lot by travelling Loppies.

Auds are you sure? We wouldn't want you having a relapse, ahh well a girl can but try and really am sending sincere ohhhhhmmmms for you!
JaneE glad the ohhhhmmms have worked but have a few more just in case.
Back from doctors' with Sloppy now and guess what, sigh, yes we are back on the anti- biotics! However we have had progress as she was definately a bit better today (those ohhmms you see) and after this course the doctor is keeping her on a low dose to try to keep these infections at bay. Only one a day then so that is easy! Just this week to get through then, but worth it if it works!
Ohhhhmmmms for Eva, Shirley and Karen if you are still in need, and ohhhhmmmms for anyone in need!
Carys, haven't been in Strand Palace but know it is the best position, you're going to love it!

Btw Shirley glad to see you've given up your alternative profession!

Hi Maeve waves, welcome back.

Hi Maeve! Good to see you back!

Adding Eva to the Ohmmms list - and keeping them up for Pauline2...Karen....Shirley Ohmmmm!

Well, I hope these viruses don't travel over the internet. I met a 'girl' I'd not seen for a year today, she said that I was looking very well. Hope that doesn't jinx me and mean I'm going to catch what you all seem to have. It was very cold out in the wind today, but no snow here.
Scott, thank you for our new/old home. I'm all for old houses, mine is 100 years old next year. I can join in talking about Oliver, film, musical, school performance when I was teaching, take your pick. Eurovision too, I always try to watch it, I love it. I did feel sorry for her when she 'fell' into the Loppiness.
Auds-now I'm 2 (and LMAS) blogs behind with my stats. Tut, Tut.

Me again! Just been reading this on LMAS and in view of what we were saying this morning found it interesting. the bit I mean starts at 10.57am.
http://pub29.bravenet.com/forum/2462310622/show/798939

and ooooooohhhhhhhhmmmmmmssssss for the ill.

HI Carys - SueX stayed at the Strand Palace and Auds and I have been in Reception (trying to find her), so I don't think you will be disappointed! Lots of ooooooohhhhhhhmmmmms for the poorly ones - I really do sympathise! Auds - I'm not a tart, just a bit of a flirt! Well done of the magnificent offloading of the Boo Hoo tickets - done with great aplomb and mastery if I may say! OK off out now - it's my small singing group's annual meal tonight (already had one member ring up with the dreaded lurgy and therefore dropping out!). I will catch up later!!

Great text from Maggie saying she can join me on Wed if my friend not well enough. Have texted my friend - as I know she felt she would be letting me down if didnt come. Actually i would have gone whether she came or not - but didnt like to say that too forcefully. So will see how she feels - i know that altho she is not at all a loppy she really wanted to see Jo. So i will be a happy bunny anyway as get to see the show with a great friend whatever happens.

Hi Maeve. I have to admit that am 2 episodes behind with Damages - i love it but after our bedtime as ploppy up at 5.00 every morning for the 2 hour commute. I havent had time to view it yet but his weeekend...

Lots of ohhhhhmmmms fro Auds, jane E, Karen, shirley, Eva, my friend etc.

Scott - thank you for the very painless house move.

Talking of hotels (and Carys glad to hear you are going up in the world - just as loppies should) has anyone booked hotel fro Oct18th yet?

Off out for the first of my leaving do's. As i said i have to leave now as having 4 diff meals out. I am sure new job wil settle down - or I will.

Well, the snow came and went and I arrived home safely but it's now started again!!

New home all unpacked and saved to favourites at home as well as work!!!

Maeve/Fi - another Damages fan here - I love it, although usually tape it and watch it another day as it's on a bit late for me to watch it and make sense of it!!!

Finally got round to watching the first episode of Dexter which I taped and I agree with what others said - it is a bit gruesome and a bit strange as well. Might just watch the second episode to see if it improves.

Thanks for that link Pauline2 - I think that video was bound to at least provoke a discussion and if it makes people think twice about mobbing the poor guy in the street then perhaps some good will come of it!!

http://pub29.bravenet.com/forum/2462310622/show/799766

Oh dear. We are in VERY good company. Someone else has the lurgy!!! Hope we dont have anyone seeing Jo in the next couple of days??

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMSSSSSSSSSSS for the GO

Oh heck, Fi and Maggie, guess this really means you!!! Depends what Lee has I guess, but if it is this lurgy there is no way he will be back by Wednesday.

Karen, you havent been living more life have you?? You know that Dr will tell you off!!! Guess lots of us have been living too much life this winter. Glad my Dr is more sympathetic than that or I would be tempted to go back when I felt better and sock him one.

Fi,- I have booked my hotel for 18th October. If you are interested, I'll e-mail you the details.
Maeve,- I watched the first episode of Damages and loved it. Because it starts so late I now have 4-5 episodes recorded on my Sky+, but Heavens knows when I'll catch up. Glenn Close is one of my favourite actresses.

Oh No! Poor GO. I think we need to make a HUGE donation to Him from the Ohm Bank. OOOHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

Fi - is it this Weds you're going? Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that he's okay by then!

Hi All, it's been a very long day, but the good news is the final completed manuscript has been sent (and, I hope, received) to Shirley so you should be getting your AKWD discs soon.
Thanks for the new home, Scott. You always take good care of us.
Ohmms to Shirley, Eva, Jane & all the other sickies. Feel better soon, ladies.
Maeve, I've been trying to e-mail you but my system isn't being cooperative. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you.
Debbie, thanks for the birthday card -- it just arrived today!
Agree with everyone that it's inappropriate to hassle Lee at the stage door. It's crossing the line, I think. The man deserves some privacy after all. And here are lots of ohmms to our GO: get well soon, gorgeous!

Oh how horrible, but have to say think he has picked this up from the scrum. It would be a minor miracle if someone didn't have a bug, and he does get in close contact, hang on a moment...swoons at the memory ..... sigh.....
Sorry where was I, anyway (shakes herself) loads of OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMs for him being better VERY quickly.

Oh dear, poor boy. I'm sure he will feel upset at letting people down. Hope that he stays wrapped up warm.

Stats pic sent to Martin. Now all I've got to do is the Feb metrics for work.

Thanks Eva for finding me the link to the youtube video yesterday. It kept stalling so I gave up trying to watch it.

I can't believe your card has only just arrived Geri as I sent it 1 or 2 days before your birthday. Those Irish postmen are slow! Hope you had a nice day btw.

Poor Lee. His voice was in excellent shape on Friday night and it wasn't me who gave him the lurgy, promise! (wish I'd got that close). Good luck to all who are going soon.

Someone asked what time I have to get up. Well, it may seem late for some of you early birds but it's like the middle of the night to me! It was 5.40 today and tomorrow and 5am and 5.30am on the other days, depending on what time I start. I need more beauty sleep than most.

Not even a hint of snow where I am although it does seem to be getting colder again.

Thanks for the new home Scott. I like this romany life, moving every few weeks.

wow Martin that was quick

Right - Big Breath -

OOOOOOHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! For the GO.

Lets hope it isn't THE Lurgy! OHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMM!

Eva - could you e-mail me as well with the details of where you're staying in October. I'd like to get sorted if I can.

Forgot to say Anne (I think it was you) that our seats on Friday were really fabulous. I couldn't have asked for better. Loads of leg room too, not like Billy Elliot where my knees were in my nostrils.

Off to watch the Tonight prog "Mummy Stop Drinking". Seeing if my ma-in-law is on there....(or chief lush loppy)

Jo Efficiency is my middle name, well Maggie has gone to work, dog is sitting on the patio with the door wide open (not for long, my feet are about to drop off) the laptop is on and all of a sudden, you have mail (except mine is just a BONG) and so might as well look and deal with it.
So less efficient and more of bored stiff, will have to get on the crosswords I think.

Thanks Shirley and Martin for adding the pic to the album. And thanks Martin for removing my red eye (I am a Pastor's wife after all - so it wouldn't have been a good look).

My pleasure YvieB, it's nice to put a face to a name, and it wouldn't look good for a Pastor to have a wife with Damien eyes now would it.

Thanks Jo - and Mr Efficient Martin - for the stats. I think I agree with the comments when we were on LMAS - Good Grief, we can chat!

Martin-My dog likes to have the back door open no matter if it's freezing outside. OK in the summer. This time of year I'm up and down letting her in and out. Thought of a dog flap, but even I could crawl through it if it was big enough for her.

On the prevention of vices front. My T**co seems to have added a chap at the ciggie counter who says 'do you really want these?'. Made me feel quite guilty.

Yesterday I spoke about the new ad for VW Polo with the singing dog. Made me smile.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9beQh1yH5uU

Evening, thanks for the new home Scott, I was thrilled to be second in, my ambition is to be first, trouble is I can't get here often enough.

I agree with Jo4 about the stage door, after the show should be a complete no no, I'm sure the poor man just wants to go home. Before the show, I might just lurk, but I'm sure would not have the courage to speak, however, if he came up to me for a chat!!!! In my dreams.

Ohhmmmsss for the Poorlies and especially for Lee.

Auds do get well SOON. Well, inside of two weeks anyway. I live in Derbyshire since we moved, must admit there are a lot of country bumpkins, in the nicest possible way of course!

Eva, did I say thank you for the passport?

- - - - - Pink Slippers, it was me who asked what time you had to get up. I just like to feel I'm not the only one rising at the crack of dawn.

Talking of which, - - - nite nite all.

Hi everyone, I'm just popping in on a quick visit, real life has caught up to me with a vengance over the past few days so not been around. I'm really pleased eveyone is happy with the thuds and I can trust you all to follow the washing instructions properly - after all, you are the proper loppies!
Although ....I should really apologise for using banned language in the same paragraph as GO!
Bye for now x

Lots of oohhhhmmmms to Auds, Jane E, Eva and especially to poorly Lee OOOHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM OOOOHHHHMMMMMMMMM OOHHHMMMMMMMMMM. Hope you all have a good night and wake up feeling better. I read on one of the sites that Jenna was struggling on Saturday so maybe a lurgy is going round the cast - just hope it's not THE lurgy. Every time I sneeze or cough I think I'm coming down with something.

That's brilliant about the Lee word spreading further around the globe, Shirley.

Great you're staying virtually next door, Carys.

Sue I'm another early bird - I get up just before 5.00 am every weekday. I do have a snooze on the train though.

And I promised myself I'd be in bed at 10.00 tonight so I'd better turn the PC off and toddle upstairs. Night night, sleep tight.

Well Diana and Sue - I get a lovely long lie in - erm till 5.50am anyway. So I'm toddling off to bed too.

Good Night Loppies

I can't believe that so many people are up at 5.00 or 6.00am. and therefore going to bed at 10.00pm.
I inhabit a completely different time zone, never up before 8.00am or in bed before midnight, usually asleep about 1.00am.
The world really is divided between larks and owls.

Very sorry to hear that there are so many poorly Loppies about, also worrying news that GO is off, here's hoping all recover quickly.
Lots of oooooooohhhhmmmms.

Jo4, that Polo ad. is very funny and what an excellent ciggie salesman !

Maeve, I don't normally go to bed at 10.00, it's more often 11.00 ish. And as you can tell I didn't make 10.00 tonight after all - remembered I wanted to download some vids. I am going now! Sleep well.

Gosh you poor things all having to get up in the middle of the night! To a slugabed like me seems pure torture. In my working life, mind I did have very odd hours, could start work any time of night or day, but when it isn't every day not so bad somehow. Anyway here am I thinking I'd have an early night as I'm back on the anti-bi run, think I'd better just get on with it!!
Sleep tight my lovlies hope all feeling ill get better soon. night night.

Oh Debbie - how can you mention "stop drinking" and me in the same sentence?? Just back from very nice meal to news that the GO has a throat infection - as someone said doubtless caught from someone at the scrum (just remember when I was sick and ailing I opted out of the scrum just in case - polishes halo) - unfortunately an occupational hazard! Lots of ooohhhhhmmmmms for everyone (including the GO) - I see Sir Weepsalot went on for Lee .....wonder how the proper understudies feel? Anyway off to bed now as I am an early riser too!! Sweet Meads all.

I'm off to bed too, not up as early as most though.
OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhmmmmsss to all especially the GO.
Nightlee night.

Just logging in to say good night, me dears. I'll hopefully get some sleep and dream of GO. Poor boy, who's got the lurghy, and even more,- poor those souls who came to the Adelphi tonight expecting to see and hear Lee and ended up with Lewis! They need some oooooohhhhhmmmms too! Sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.

Good morning, all. Can't believe there are some loppies who stay in bed till after 8. Mind you, if I had a choice in the matter, I'd do that too. As it is, I was in bed just after ten last night because I've been nodding off during the day (anyone would think I had a busy schedule!) and I have 60-90 minute commute in the morning (depending on traffic) to work and have to be in before 8:00. So, that said, need a nice hearty breakfast, BHB...BHB? Poor baby, you look poorly? Did the CM drag you out of bed and put you to work? For shame! Go on, go lie down and I'll make you a nice cup of tea and give you a massage to help those aching muscles relax. No, don't say anything, save your voice. PLEASE save your voice...

Morning all, very reduced service in the Bistro this morning. I have opened up the Porrly corner, lots of cushions, warm air, medicines, soothing hot drinks, duvets etc and very very pleasant music to listen to. Unfortunately the BHB is not well today so will be joining Auds, the CM, Eva, Jane, Fi and everyone else who is poorly. Geri has made tea, I have done the coffees. There is porridge on the go and lots of fresh fruit to pick in the Vitamin C. I have tried contacting DB and DT to see if they were free to help us out, but alas it was too short notice. It will therefore be serve yourself today. Meanwhile I will don my mask and go tend the sick and ailing.

CM reporting in. Definitely on the mend. Antoher quiet day I'm thinking and then tomorrow will be back on the service side of the counter. And yes Geri, The BHB is off sick, so stop fantasising - keep it for the literary masterpieces.

Think I will just help myself to a nice bowl of warming porridge and a large cup of Earl Grey. Already done the station run so been out and about in the cold early too. Not as early as some Loppies though.

Lots and lots of OOOOHHHHHMMMMMSSSSS for all the sick and ailing Loppies and their GO. And for the postal system so the cds and their mailers arrive today!!!!

Hi CM glad you are on the mend! Kind of miss your old name though!!! Quite chilly out as you say, although without the cold wind from yesterday, so doesn't feel quite so bad. Lots of ooooohhhhhhmmmmmmmmmms for those in need and extras for the bank oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmss!

Good Morning Loppies,
Oh Dear! I see the poorly corner is quite busy today. Thought I was coming down with it too but a good measure of Brandy seems to have sorted it out for me. I have brought it with me…… Anyone??? Nice to see you're at least up and about Shirley.
Well, I’m not due in work for a couple of hours so I’ll just get myself some porridge and a coffee. I managed a zip though the weekends busy posts and have sorted some pics out this morning, sending some to Martin for the album.
Firstly, lots of ooohhhhmmmmms for the ailing and stressed.
Eva my dear, is the passport office still open? I’d love a loppy passport just to confirm I am only 27 you know! And thanks, I will send you my birthday to add to your list.
Pink fluffy slippers- enjoyed reading your review and glad to hear it wasn’t you who passed on any nasty germs!
Ali- I just adore your scollops poem, so sweet and you’re not the only one to fall for the M+S T’s. I like the fit so much I went and bought a couple of different colours and I don’t usually wear T Shirts!
Shirley2 – congrats on your scollops engagement, its such a joy to know they are happy isn’t it? My Eldest proposed to his girlfriend a couple of weeks ago and is having an official party Easter weekend, so I know just how you feel.
Maggie- so glad you like your T Shirt it and it fits well.
Carys- I usually stay at the Strand Hotel when I’m in London for work and now it’s my Jo home too. I’m sure you will like it. It’s very nice and I always feel safe there. One thing to bear in mind though, the single rooms are rather small so not much space if you are planning any parties!
Fi and Maggie, hope GO is well for your show. Brings back nightmares for me, I suffered Boohoo in December when Lee had bronchitis – not recommended!OOOOhhhhmmmmmsssss for GO.

Morning all
I have put some photo's sent in by Suex online in both the GO album (6) and Loppie Ladies albums (2)taken on the 23rd

Why thank you Martin, how efficient of you, don't think you've had them 15 mins!

Morning all. Not too good I'm afraid. Although the nose seems to have stopped running, I ache all over, as if I'd gone a round or two in a boxing ring and lost!!!! The head ace is still there too.
I was feeling so positive when I read that the Porrly Corner had been made up for us and that BHB would be resting there. I thought: "I can do that!" Then Shirley came and spoiled it all. Telling us it was all fantasy!!!! Well, I never! So I'll crawl back under my duvet and sulk!
Suex,- I will be delighted to put you on the brithday card list and send you a passport, but I don't think I have your e-mail adress, so please send your particulars to me through stageloppies.

Awwww Eva, lots of ohhhmmmms for you. Yes the porrly corner looked rather inviting when we thought BHB was there but i got well real quick when I realised it was just fantasy! just as well I hadn't signed in. Sounds like you have IT, so wrap up well and look after yourself. I will send my details later tonight as I've just closed my e-mail.But don't rush I can wait until you are feeling better, not planning on travelling far in the next few weeks. Got to go to the W place now where no one likes me anymore (I had to put 3 staff on the road to redundancy last week) and off to visit Sloppy - she's still in hospital tonight.
Remember to listen to lots of soothing music.....

Morning All

Firstly major OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMs
to all these sick loppies, and also to the GO, he must really be looking forward to his holiday, maybe he'll take all the loppies with him who are in need of recuperation?

Selfish, I know, but hoping that he'll be all better and bouncy later this month, we have a number of good reasons for hoping that I think, don't we?

Still no THUD t-shirt yet, still trying to figure out what the washing instructions would say if they're causing such amusement.

As far as night owls/early birds goes, I'm typically an early bird but often without the willpower to go to bed early enough to be an effective earlybird and at the moment with a certain number of DVD's to watch for the first time (thankyou Carys) I'm head over heels all over again and it's very hard to turn the tv off at night.
I did think that if I just had 2/3 days to switch off the world and focus all my attention on the GO that I'd be fine, but somehow I think that loppiness would keep calling me back.
LaL (Life after Lee) will never be the same!

Re the Strand Palace, Jean (Dublop) has stayed there a couple of times and has recommended it.

Karen2 , sorry your thud han't arrived yet. They were all posted on the same day and the Dublops went special Air mail! Hmmmm so much for Post Office promises hey!

Morning people, well I must say there is something to be said for getting going early! (I do normaly rise at a reasonable time but have got slouching about down to a fine art...years of practice!) I have medicated Sloppy done the shopping and some h*****k! Don't know what to do now!
I don't think the sick bay is fantasy, are you sure it's not just Shirley getting jealous as BHB wasn't there when she was feeling ill? So all you poorly people just cuddle up in the corner with him, I'm sure it will make you feel better, and Shirley, youcould still join them as you probably aren't quite better yet!
Anyway ohhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmms for all of you, things can only get better!

Suex -
It's fine, nothing to do with you, it's just our ever efficient postal service (world's finest...not!)

No,sorry, not jealous this time, but very concerned that he should be allowed to get some serious recovery time in. A couple of Loppies are travelling to see the GO tomorrow afternoon and as Suex says - what a nightmare for them if they get weepy instead. And as Karen2 says HE HAS TO BE BRIGHT EYED AND BUSHY TAILED IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS. There. Thats why. OK???

While Gillian is away can you send things for forwarding and so on direct to me please?? I keep forgetting to check there, and found today that not all the Loppies are in there, but I have them in my emails. Thanks all.

Suex lots of us discovered to our cost with the valentine squares that the airmail service to Dublin is not fast. Not even slow. It was DIRE. My stuff took 2 or 3 weeks, and Maeve's was the worst taking at least a month. So good luck Karen2 and Geri. You might have your THUDs for Easter, but dont hold your breath.

Not heard from Deanna since she did that wonderful review for us. Did she say she was going away? Hope she isnt another victim of the lurgy.

Lots and lots of OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMSSSSS for all poorly Loppies.

Martin - as always - you do us proud. Thanks so much

Morning all!

What's this about sick bay being a fantasy? It better not be, I'm heading there now to join the other poorly Loppies, and yes the BHB too!
Pss the brandy Suex!

Ah Karen2 - I tried overdosing on ADWD when I first got the DVDs (thanks Carys). It doesn't work does it? I'm not sure there is a cure for Loppiness! And I don't think I want one!

Ohmmmms for all poorly Loppies, Sloppys etc.
And major OHHHMMMMMS for the GO

My Thud tee-shirt arrived this morning, it's lovely and fits very well, doesn't entirely disguise the spare tyre but I suppose that's not its fault!

Geri, I've been thinking about Irish postal service and I think the late arrival of my cards etc. could be because I put on 1st class stamps rather than ones bought from P.O.
Perhaps have been blaming An Post unfairly.

Maeve, definitely NOT a lark, but have to be for work. My ideal would be bed about 1am and up by 9am, need my 8hrs you see.

Jo4, loved the dog, but have to say was a bit concerned by the way it was shaking.

More ohhhmmmsss for the Poorlies, and those due to be seeing Lee.

Back later.

Maeve, think you may be right about the post, I sent my square really late, but it got there in time, I had it weighed, and put the stamp they gave me on it.

Sorry ladies that does not apply here. Went into the post office with my parcel and had it dealt with there. So I am still cursing our postal services.

http://pub29.bravenet.com/forum/2462310622/show/799766/2 Someone on the forum has been in touch with the Stage Door at the Adelphi. They are expecting to know about lunch time about Lee, but doesnt sound hopeful. They did say he might be back Wednesday night, but more certain that he will be back by Friday. Somebody else saw Lewis last night and said he was rubbish. Now there's a surprise.

If that really is so Shirley don't think he has got the lurgy you people have had. So everything crossed for tomorrow and lots of ohhhhhmmmms.
Ps. I am also desperate for him to be better soon as have just had some exciting news!

Cant tease like that Pauline2. Tell all.

Good news all. The cds and their little jewel cases have just been delivered. And Ploppy is on the way home on the train. So much cd burning and printing going on here later. Oh my, what an exciting life we live.

Well ok cos I'm excited! Have got a ticket to see a certain show! My lovely Sloppy has had a little to do with it, so have got a great seat!
Don't you go setting yourself on fire will you Shirley?

Hi all.
Carys, we were stopping at the Strand Palace when my mother had to be rushed to the hospital. NOT the hotels fault, I hasten to add and they were very helpful for the duration of our visit.
I am the third in our house down ill now, mother is making a great recovery, she is at the convalescent stage and hating it. She only believes in two states of health, ill and better, therefore she has great trouble coping with this intermediate stage. McVitie (the gingernut cat) came down with a serious infection and we nearly lost him over the weekend. He is now back to his usual insane self, I think I am happy to say. I now have laryngitis, compounded by falling over on Sunday and chopping myself across the throat with a, fortunately lightweight, chest of draws I tipped over when I slipped over. I don't recommend this, it hurts and make breathing difficult. Talking is impossible so I am a stay-at-home today. I am busy making raffle tickets for our Community Association annual raffle.
Ohms to everyone in need.

Hi all

Lots of ohmmss again to all poorly loppies and to the GO.

SueX - Brandy at 9oclock in the morning!!? Where was I - just my kind of remedy!!

Pauline2 - I like the idea of all us poorlies cuddling up with the BHB (and now he's already infected he must be immune so we can't make him any worse!) - could turn into another scrum though as the list of poorlies gets ever longer, although it will be a very organised, refined scrum!!!!

Shirley - so looking forward to the cd but don't you be over-working yourself. We don't want you going downhill again now you're on the mend - I'm sure you said you had somewhere rather important to go soon that you need to be well for!!

Just echoing Karen here, don't overdo it anyone, I think I may have done too much yesterday and I feel a bit rough again today. Far better to take it easy until you're back on form.
Oooohhhhmmmms for all of you and also for the GO!
Mixture of weather here today, cold but sunny then suddenly we get a hail storm, then the pattern repeats itself. Hardly any wonder we all keep getting ill, the central heating is up and down like a yo-yo! Roll on summer.
Brownies tonight so doubt I'll be back until tomorrow, byee

Ooohhhmmmsssss for all poorly ones, GO and my friend at work who is going to a certain show tonight.
All the photos have arrived now Shirley, a BIG thanks to you for all your trouble.
Thanks for all the links everyone.

schniff, sniff, sniff;
Trumpetting sound of nose being blown;
Cough, cough and hacking cough;
Head in hands to ease heavy stuffyness;
Soldiering through the work load and many calls
(hear the violins in the background adding to the drama of it all!!)
Boss not falling for it though - she's also got a streaming cold.. and "she's in". So I have to take my cue from her.
But still some good news on the horizon - ex boss just called said he's heading back to UK to work during the year, and if he can have his own assistant - that'll be me. That's brightened by day at least. Nice when you know you're wanted...

Poor Auds Ohmmmmms for you - and for Kathleen's friend too - and of course for the GO OOOOOHHHHHHMMMMM!!!

like I said - when I'm ill it's all ME ME ME ME ME.
So, OOOOOOHHHHHHMMMMMMS applenty for the Gorgeous One. At least he's getting it over and done with before meeting his two very special guests (who are doing him the same honour - getting over the germs, of course). Do you think he's been reading the posts and caught the bug that way???
Suex, did I say thanks for those pics? Next time we must enlist Howard(no Shirley, not Del) to take a pic of us all..

Auds, sorry you're feeling so poorly and having to work! I hope your people appreciate it. A large withdrawal of ooohhhmmmms for you.

I see Lee is, not surprisingly, not on again tonight and I imagine very, very iffy for tomorrow's matinee. I can't see him being sufficiently recovered to do two performances if he's been off the previous two nights. Sorry Fi.

Given that Lewis has again filled in at short notice, is he being paid to standby in case Lee's off sick or does he not have any other work so is available? Do you think Lewis comes out for the scrum afterwards - is anyone actually there waiting for him???? I have this picture of him coming through the front doors with a big smile on his face - to be faced by 2 fans.

Diana - I assume you're picturing a fine, dry evening.

Oh dear lots of ohhhhhhhmmmmms needed still I can see. So bucket loads of them for our poorly loppies, and an extra special OHHHHHMMMMM for himself.
Pen your household sounds a dangerous place to be! Take care and glad the cat recovered!
Now Diana, JaneE be fair you know there would be people out for Lewis, what about Nana and his Mum?

........They'd probably rather see the GO as well!!!!!!!!

And my mum for that matter Pauline2 (but she won't go to London)

Pauline2 they were the 2 people I immediately thought about too.
And Auds-REALLYverysorryforherselfagainLoppy I think asking Howard (not Del) to take a photo of us is a fabulous idea!!! I cannot imagine how you are managing to work with the lurgy. Not for one minute. I guess it must be the vigour of youth!! And yes, I had thought how kind it was of the GO to get the lurgy over and done with at the same time as we are. Such a considerate young man. See he really does want to see us, and was worried that he might be ill. But not now!!!

I'm rambling.

Eva is very quiet today. Bet she is in a bad way - LOTS of OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMSSSSSSS for our poorly loppies and their GO. I know JaneE my breath control just isnt there, but I am still coughing and spluttering here. Not to mention very deaf.

Penn, as has already been said - your household sounds like a dangerous place to be!! Do you have these crises on a regular basis or just every so often?

The dogs are peering out of the window in an interested manner. Ears all alert - cant see a darned thing myself its dark out there....

Pauline2, Lewis' mum and Nana Jean would be the 2 waiting fans. Aren't I cruel!

Ok just logged on - and havent read posts but Maggie updated me that Lee off -NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Not that I am being paranoid BUT last time maggie and I had tickets fro joseph Lee was off sick week before and we had week of angst wil he/wont he - but he did!. Phoned See and will only refund if lee not on and wont know until just before and have to leave fro London befoe then. So lee off/ my friend def cant coem AND trains to London from here were all cancelled today. I am def not paranoid BUT I am beginning to think not meant to be.

If my trains are running maggie and I going to have "a grand day out" in London anyway and will prob go and see Lewis (tho will decide that over a long (and prob liquid) lunch.

BTW - can anyone recommend a suitable lunch place near to strand.

Off to try and organise my lift to station - in order to make full use of liquid lunch facilities.

PS my emails also not working so if anyone sent me emails - i havent got them. I am def not paranoid....

On top of all this my last day at old work today and I did go to friends funeral. So a very emotional day (wont be able to cope if Boohoo cries tomorrow). However cheered up when one person at work (english not first lang)emailed me "you a are a very god person please stay". Hmm on second thoughts maybe didnt cheer me as I kept thinking these are such lovely people why am i leaving!

Haven't got much time before I have to collect dollops from their club but just wanted to share my good news.

YEEHAA! Just got 2 tickets for the 18th Oct. I was panicking as they seem to have practically sold out but mangaged to find some. They're c**p seats up in the gods but at least I'll be there with my newly acquired Loppy partner, Suzanna and they were a good price too so they must really be in a c**p place! Hopefully the whole audience will be up and going potty so we can sidle off to the aisle or somewhere to dance.

Seeing as no one seems interested in my three tickets next month I'm thinking of taking the dollops (even though they'd rather see Hairspray - cheek!). It's not that I don't think they'll enjoy it but they are so b****y expensive that I'd rather take them to the show they really want. Still, they don't know about them yet so it will be a good surprise.
And of course I get to go again!

Cheerio for now.

Evening and lots of oooooohhhhhhhmmmmmsss for all those still ailing, sniffling, feeling really bad, having family crises and being paranoic! Oh Fi - virtual hug coming your way! Fingers crossed for you and Maggie - make sure it is a very liquid lunch and consider carefully what you are going to do in the worse case scenario! Still, as SOH said "tomorrow is another day!". All my be well. All fingers and toes crossed for you. Off to a Committee Meeting shortly! Catch up with you all later, so be good!

Well it says something that we all think of the same 2!! Not sure what though.
Fi, hope you have a fantastic day out tomorrow, and if you do see Weepy think of it as a critics review! I know but best I can do. I think better advice is make sure lunch is extremely liquid.... and shop a lot! I don't know where to recommend except to say the GO eats in Covent Garden at lunch time!
Aw Debbie you are all heart, taking your kids to see Joseph. So self sacrificing!

Thanks Pauline2. I can see you understand me so well being in the ex trolley dolly club!

I really hope you don't get Weepy tomorrow Fi but if it is to be then I think Pauline's advice is pukka - sorry, been watching too many Jamie Oliver progs.

Get well all you sick ones!

Btw, can anyone who's in touch with Sonja say 'hi' from me. She is sorely missed.

if I could laugh out loud I would - at your comment Shirley re 'the vigour of youth'. Only 27 donchaknow?
Debbie, when are the tickets for - I have some friends who want to see what I'm raving on about, but can't get seats together and so won't go.!!! People are weird. Golad you'll be joining us for the 18th...
Don't think I'll be at work tomorrow - already voice beginning to disappear, and body aches from top to toe.
Fi - remind me never to buy a ticket the same you you're going.... you're jinxed.... I think in a past life you must have fancied the CO???? Does that alleviate your sense of paranoia? I always thought I'd be a good counsellor!!!
I think I'm a bit punch drunk with pills, so - waving frantically and sending lots of love and oooooommmmmmss for all Loppies and especially our sweet prince, I'm getting my clear chicken soup and vicks and heading off to bed.... But if I can't sleep, I'll be back....

Just sticking my head above the paraphet. Still alive, and not feeling too bad at the moment. The day has been spent in bed, so that may be it. Read a lot and listened to the radio.
I see on Lmas that Himself is not performing today either so an extra strong dose of oooooohhhhhmmmmmms London way.
To Fi and whoever you'll be going to, why don't you go to The Porterhouse for lunch. It's just at the back of the Adelphi, has been our home from home, and if the lunch is very liquid, you can just roll down the alley to the theatre entrance! Easy, peasy!

Shirley, sorry to hear(oh 'eck I'd forgotton she's gone deaf)SORRRY TO HERE YOU'RE STILL COUGHING, DEAR!

Debbie - I don't think there are any really cr*p seats at the Adephi - I sat at the back of the Upper Circle for my first visit and the view was decent.

Fi 'Stranded in London' is next door to the Adelphi and very good if a tad expensive to us Northern types. I don't know if it does lunch. Mind you I can see the appeal of Covent Garden.

More OHHHMMMMS for Fi and Maggie and the GO.

Sorry to hear there are still poorly Loppies and GO still ill. OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMSSS.
Sue-I was concerned about the shaking too, I hope that it is a normal dog trained for the TV. They train them to do one or two things, which they put on their agents books as their speciality. At one point I think I can see the tail wagging, as if pleased he's doing right.

Fi/Maggie - I'm sure you'll have a good Loppy day out whatever happens. Maybe you could join Nana Jean and his Mum in the, er, scrum - swell the numbers to four!! Is that pushing it a bit! How many does it take to make a scrum anyway!

Debbie - what's this? - from only having been once to going three times in a few weeks?? Now you're making me jealous!! Lucky girl! Glad you got tickets for Oct and I really don't think it will matter where you sit on that night - it will just be a fantastic night!

Thanks for lunch suggestions. Will have to restrain liquid intake as need to take car to station and then drive home (long story but involves another friend (aka taxi driver) getting ill - and no I am NOT getting paranoid - annoyed yes but not paranoid.).

Auds - you obviously missed your vocation - mind you dont think it was as a counsellor!

Eva - yes please email details of hotel for oct 18th - tho a) my email is down so dont expect early reply and b) shall we try and do a group booking?

Good thing about Lewis as joseph will be that i will be able to take in rest of cast which didnt in first visit. I was brought up to believe that every cloud (no mattter how dark) has a silver lining!

Fi,- I e-mailed you yesterday, but I understand you haven't got it yet. If and when you manage to open your mailbox and don't find my mail, let me know.

Eva - thanks. We had wireless router fitted and since then hotmail has disappeared. I find it inconvenient but scollop is having severe withrawal syptoms (MSN withdrawal). Another silver lining. Seemingly our anti virus now thinks MSN (and hotmail) is a virus (i have to say i tend to agree)and they are battling it out. According to computer boffin we just have to wait oucome of this epic battle. call me cynical (and many do)but i suspect that means he doesnt know how to fix it.

Ah Fi, so you won't have got my e-mail to you in response to Eva's e-mail to both of us, that you didn't get.

I suggest we use smoke signals!

Ohhmmmssss for Pen, (glad McVitie's OK) and for Auds, and again for all Poorlies, especially 'Our Boy'

Shirley you've just made me laugh, I read your post and wondered why your dogs were PEEING out of the window, and then I realised they weren't!!

Jo4 I love to see animals in film, but always worry about them.

Eva, just booked for Oct 18th, same hotel as you. I wondered what to do as I didn't know how many would be staying over, and wanted to be in the same hotel as someone I know.

BTW, is it OK to ask for a little ohhmm for my poorly fish? I've had him for years, he's seen off lots of others, he's only a goldfish but I'm rather fond of him.

Off to bed now, must admit I felt a bit better when I read the blog this morning, and saw how many of you were up at the crack of dawn, it is getting lighter by the day now though, so that makes it bearable. Nite nite.

Karen the answer to your question is It takes ONE to make a scrum. It just takes the GO. And then Anytime anyplace anywhere you have a scrum.

Auds and Eva, take it easy ladies. Lots of rest called for. As if you have the choice.

Fi and Maggie, hope you have a lovely time in London tomorrow. Another couple of suggestions from here. Carluccios is just up Bedford Street - less than 5 minutes walk, and is fun. One the corner of Bedford and Henrietta is the pub we went to on 23rd. Much less noisy than the Porterhouse and nicer grub, an equally happy to let us linger. Lots of nice pasta places around too, and all at pretty reasonable prices.

And good luck with seeing Lee. The lady on the Forum who saw Lewis last night said he was 'rubbish' - no surprise there then. I guess it would be the one time you are likely to see this production you will be glad that Joseph isnt on stage more!!!!

And JaneE, I would love to be able to shout back THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT but sadly there is!!!!

Debbie I chat to Sonja regularly, and will pass on your sentiments. And I am sure I can say a big thanks on her behalf.

Ha Shirley - LOL - of course it does. You are quite right!

Btw - why were your dogs peering (or peeing as Sue says) out the window?? Anything interesting?

Sue,- so pleased you have booked there too. I think there will be quite a few Loppies there, not only Stageloppies, but also from LMAS.
I think I'll call it a day now, and hopefully I will be a little more chirpy in the morning. Godd night, sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.
