In video: How Not to Live Your Life

If you’ve watched BBC3 over the last few days, you may well have caught a trailer for a new sitcom. How Not to Live Your Life starts on Tuesday 12 August and centers around Don, a twenty something man with bad luck and even worse instincts. The sitcom is peppered with ‘quick fire fantasy sequences’, according to the BBC. Like this one:

You don’t see stuff like that on the Apprentice, now do you?

Following the successful pilot which was broadcast last year, How Not to Live Your Life is a six-part series produced by Brown Eyed Boy.

Oooh am I first? Thanks for the new home, Scott.

Diana - only cos you are cheating! We aren't supposed to be here until Friday!

On the contrary, Carol - you're welcome here now. But the post above was written last Friday rather than being a new one. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Scott dear,- thank you and bless you for finding us a new home. You know we are easy!...... to please, I mean, and are not too fussed where we stay, as long as it's easily accesible. I have been in danger of falling asleep waiting for the page to refresh itself!
Carol,- first time I read what Scott dear had written I too thought we had to wait until Friday! My brain is working at half speed today and you are a blonde, so we are both excused!
We all thought you were living it up in Edinburgh, Scott. Glad to see you haven't left us entirely to our own devices! Btw. How come you can write in italic and we can't? Some people have all the fun!

A shiny new home! thanks Scott.

Carol, I thought the same thing re Friday for a moment. Then realised there was nowhere to comment on the old blog and twigged.

Thanks Scott for the lovely new pad (we're not the sharpest 27 yrs olds on the block... had the same thought as you Diana and here I am.. not waiting until Friday). And then checked out the YouTube trailer on this blog. Can't say I'll be glued to the telly with that... but have any of you seen the "Summer Heights High" mockumentary playing out on BB3. Stupidly facinating. If you liked Kath & Kim, this will appeal.

Sorry Scott Dear, but although I didn't get a comment box that wasn't unusual with the work system, so there I was getting already to pack and hey presto we had moved. Call it a blonde moment! Thank you soo much for our new home!

Interview with Niamh Perry & Keith Jack about the musical they're doing at Edinburgh Festival and ADWD/IDA. Wonder if there are any reviews yet? Note that Keith's album is out this month http://www.whatsonstage.com/blogs/scotland/?p=133

Speaking of Edinburgh, we've got a daily podcast again this year. I'm sure Ewan, our host, will be interviewing Keith and Niamh at some point -- he seems to speak to more people at the Fringe than anybody else!

If you have iTunes on your computer, go to the podcast's page in the iTunes directory - everybody who subscribes there will help us rise up the charts (we're currently no. 17 in the Arts chart). Otherwise you can go to http://edinburghfringe.thepodcastnetwork.com/ and click the play button for each episode.

It's time to nominate this years Rear. There is no rules saying you can't nominate the same person who won last year, so let's vote, ladies:
http://www.rearoftheyearcompetition.com/contact.html

Yep, count me in to the ones who thought we had to wait until Friday! In regards to ROTY do you think Lee would be pleased to be voted it again? I would hope that he would find it really funny and not overly embarrassing!

I think we nominated Lee some months ago when 2008 voting was set up but doesn't hurt to do so again! It would be brilliant if he won this year too. How about nominating Denise as well? As we found out last year, the female winner gets greater publicity and if they both won, it would attract even more for the charity being supported.

Sun online has article on ALW 60th http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/article1518017.ece

Oh dear I really thought we had to wait for this Friday, then I realised the last post was about 2 o clock.I really must see if Woolworths sell new Brains??????
Hope everyone is Ok, we are off again to Sussex to see Ploppys Sloppy in the morning.
If Scott is in Edinburgh do you think he is wearing a kilt??????????????????????

Ditto the Friday thing, glad I wasn't the only one! Thankyou once again Scott.
Jane re:Audley End, we only got held up for a short while leaving the 'car park' so things have obviously improved!
Auds I caught a few episodes of Summer Heights High, by accident when channel hopping late at night! Couldn't turn over once I started watching it, clever chap (Chris Lilley?) I think it was repeated back to back over the weekend and I meant to record it and watch the episodes I missed. It's a shame some of these programmes are tucked away on the digital channels late at night as a few of them are worth watching but must get missed by a lot of people.

OOo a new home! Thank you Scott! I'll follow your linky-thing (that's the teccy term) later.

Good idea Diana, I thnk we should vote for both two!

Thanks Scott! can't guarantee I will log on to the Keith interview...lol Did you notice in The Sun the list of performers started with Lee Mead! (just popping that in to get a Google alert) before Elaine Paige etc..top billing for the GO and derservedly so. Strange no Connie though - maybe she doesn't work on her days off like Lee does.

PENCILS FOR SALE. LUVVERLY PENCILS. Who will buy my luvverly pencils? Sharpened to a fine point - excellent for pricking!! (Oo er!) Roll up Roll up, special offer, one for the price of three (What!!? Come on I have to make a profit from all these pencils I have (allegedly!) nicked!!).

Evening all

Balloon party?? Count me in. BHB (I'll share him cos I'm a good loppy), DT, RA, Ramps (he's all mine!!) are all lined up and raring to go (wahaayyyy!!). Where's the party this time (don't forget we need a garden shed so Ramps can show me his moves!!).

Thanks for the new home Scott - another numpty ed here (er sorry I mean person who misunderstood!!).

Well done to all who entered the competition and Jane, I'm so sorry I didn't, I just never found the time and I feel very bad as you clearly went to a lot of trouble. If you have any pieces left I will happily make a donation to one of Lee's charities to have one. And, you can always slap me when we see the GO in 22 SLEEPS (ssh, thought that might distract her from being mad at me!!!).

Jo4 - well done on Row B Left Side - perfect spot for when he's talking to the butler - you get plenty of time for a good look and a drool (this was where we were sat last time I went, and it was at that point that Ploppy had to lean over and make sure Eva was okay as he'd noticed that her fan was suddenly working overtime!!!).

SueX - helloooooo. Good to hear from you. Don't stay away too long! (Do want to buy a pencil?? You'll find it comes in very useful for popping balloons!!!)

K2 - good to have you back online but what's with all this gorn posh malarkey!!.

Eva - I'm impressed with your YouTube skills - I haven't even watched it yet but I'm impressed that you even knew what to do. I wouldn't have a clue. Will go look at that in a mo.

When I got off the bus on the way home tonight I had to run the gauntlet of a gang of yoofs who were stood around on the street corner trying to look intimidating (and to some they probably succeeded). Now, I know I may be foolish as you hear all kinds of horror stories these days about what gangs of kids do but I refuse to be intimidated by these children, even if the lads are built like brick you-know-whats, especailly as half of this group I've know since they were little tiddlers. So, I just marched purposefully towards them and it was like a battle of wills, they stood huddled together watching me approach and I just marched on and guess what, as I got right up to them it was like the parting of the waves - they just moved aside and let me through!! Big butch kids huh?? I know, I know, it could have turned nasty but sometimes you just have to stand up to people don't you.

Lots of links today I see so off to go catch up with them, fill my glass and party on down.

Just watched your vid Eva, lovely, brightened up a dull day, little scollop said to tell you he liked it too!

Scott dear - isn't Sarah Lark also performing at Edinburgh? In the musical based on the Perule (I think)? If so perhaps you could interview her too and find out what she is up to! Diana thanks for the tip re the pause button - it works! It works! Off to rehearsal soon but have to feed Ploppy first as he has only just got home. It hasn't stopped raining all day and now I am watching tomorrow's forecast and they are saying same, but thunder as well and hot and humid! Lovely! Karen I may need to buy a pencil for the office pooter as I have been without there for a while! If its a party and I can't have the BHB I bags either DT or Jonny D!

Ali,- I like your scollop! A man of taste!
Karen,- given your propencity for accidents and mishaps, I think you were incredibly brave (or silly) to march on those yobbos, but then imagining you in full flight, I understand why they parted like The Red Sea (it was The Red Sea, wasn't it?)
I think your sales pitch has just given you away. Now we know who nicked the pencils. Btw. If you take Ramps to the shed, where do I go with RA? And should we invite Carol's Norwegian find, Kaare Conradi? he can sind and dance, and is rather yummy!
Scott dear,- it seems it's just pure luck we're not all sitting around just waiting for Friday! ! ! ! ! (Do you have a kilt? Don't look at me! It was Jill's idea!)

Aunty Eva - what a clever Loppy you are - just saw the lovely You Tube you created! My IT skills are nowhere near able to do that!!! Thank you!

First day back at work after my long weekend--don't ask! Then I find you were all kind enough to move house and unpack without me having to do any heavy lifting. What pals! Thanks for the shiny new home, Scott! And I don't know that I like the idea of you in a kilt. I was a bit scared this weekend of the ancient shopper in Tesceau's in a bright purple kilt, complete with sporan, and purple stockings. Trust me, Jane, even you would have had cause to question his sartorial choices!

I got up this morning to a darkened sky and a huge rainbow right in front of my window. I mentioned it to my mate Jeremy and he said, 'It was because the sky was responding to your beauty!' For an Englishman, he sure has mastered the art of Blarney!

And my other mate Graham says the song is coming along & he may have his brother's group (they're professionals and very good) do a recording for us!

Yay, party time. Seems like we're on for tonight.
Carol - where are you with the vino?
Karen you're just going to have to share Ramps, now you wouldn't deny your buddy would you.....?

Oh and my new posh pencil comes with a triple sharpened point - perfect for balloons. Don't worry though, posh by name does not mean posh by nature, founding member of the gutter gang me!

DT has been busy with his big box (the Tardis!) delivering the invites I sent out last night and so we have also had positive replies from JBJ,Johnny Depp, George Clooney and my new best pal Michael Buble told me he'll pop in as well, (I did tell you about the personal performance he did for me last week didn't I?)

Just realised that its great to have a new blog page but the nice long post I worked on has gotten lost on the last one and probably won't get read now! Can't remember all of it but I wanted to send oohmms to Jane and Chantale, a note to Pauline about incohol in Ireland and a message re towels in the policehouse for Dublinfest.

Eva - sorry, still haven't watched your YouTube. Off to do that now, brb!

Eva well done. I am very impressed. I loved that picture with the eyes. GORGEOUS!!!
Yes Jane I did have 25 clues right and very proud of it. It was quiet fun looking for them too.

...Karentwo, even though I am off out and therefore will be late to the party I have laid on copious amounts of champers, wine (PG Rose) and Pimms. I have even (against my will) included some diet coke! The van will arrive shortly. All I ask is that you save some for my return and also put a reserved sticker on JD!!

Carol,- of course we'll save Jason Donovan for you!

Good job Eva, you're getting to be quite the techie!

To answer your question, if the Kar'ns have the garden shed you could book a space behind the sofa, but we are getting ahead of ourselves, shouldn't we wait until Carol's order of drinks are delivered, I think the van is just turning the corner.
The boys have all arrived and are having some sort of conflab/rehearsal maybe? in the bathroom, good thing I got my new bathroom in, it's the smartest room in the house now. Anyway there's plenty of nervous giggling coming from the keyhole, not that I've been spying on them or anything!

Carol, will try to hold onto JD for you but can't promise, you know what this lot are like when they get going!

Good one Eva, very funny!

K2 - budge up and let me look through the keyhole - come on, of course you can share Ramps with me!! Er, that doesn't sound right somehow, but you know what I mean!!

Eva - just watched your YouTube - LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Clever you.

Karen2,- I'll bag that space behind the sofa then. Maybe Pauline2 will lend me a blanket or two? I did bring some special Norwegian Coffee Doctor in case it is needed!

Where's the party? I've sharpened my pencil ready for the balloon dance. Think I'll sit in the corner and talk to Sir Cliff about his 50 year career as a singer if nobody minds, and sip a Pimms or two.

Thanks for the lovely new home Scott. Another not very bright 27 year old here.

Eva, you clever thing. Lovely vid and on Youtube too!
Ohms for all those in need. Hope you get your passport sorted out Chantale.
Geri - what charming people you work with.
Karentwo I read your last post on the ols blog.
Don't forget Bonecrackers tonight.

Party at mine Kathleen, and in Suex's honour so she definitely gets the sharpest pencil!

I can see broomsticks on the horizon, the loppies are on the way! DT standing by with the tardis for any latecomers.
The beverages have arrived and the boys are all set, Karen is keeping them entertained with tales of her bravery today.

Actually Karen, can I just say, I was reading your story earlier saying OMG that's EXACTLY the kind of thing I do.
I can't bear for kids like that to think they've got us all running scared. I really will get myself into trouble one of these days but I see them as I see PB and I wouldn't take that attitude from him in a million years.

Well Done Eva - my Y Tube is playing up, but I'm dead impressed!

Oooo K2! Thanks for the party!

I'll just help myself to a glass of Carols wine.

Pass me a pencil Karen I want to be full armed - I mean equiped when the balloon dance starts.

Hold on - someone at the door...

Geri! Richard Armitage is asking for you - 'Sorry RA she isn't here, will I do instead?'

Haha K2, (ssh, that's not what I'm keeping them "entertained" with but don't tell anyone!! BHB is blushing but Ramps is, well, you know.......RRRRRamps).

Jane - here's your pencil - just be careful where you stick......... - oh too late, poor RA! Ouch!

JaneE,- You keep away from RA. He's mine, ALL MINE.
My pooter must be exhausted after all the work yeasterday. It has closed down on me twice tonight. I'll take RA behind the sofa for a while. I'll offer him some spag bol and a glass or five of red.(I have to eat now!) We'll be back in a little while.

Eva you sneak! Come back with RA!

........there are some very strange noises coming from behind the sofa!!!!!!

Uh oh, turn up the music someone to drown them out and lets have the rest of the boys get on with the show, we're one down but there's still plenty of talent to enjoy!

Yuk, there's a four foot high snail slithering up my window!!!

Phew.....I'm here!!! Hope the party's still on.

Been quite overwhelmed by a delivery of beautiful flowers that greeted me on my arrival home......you guys are the tops, thanks so much, what a thoughtful bunch you are! Love U Guys x

and...... got my pencil back, thanks K2. Think I'll find a use for that later on?

Phew Hi honey I'm home! A nice new shiny one it is as well, thankyou Scott Dear, afraid another dimwit here who thought it meant Friday, but as Carol had sent me a link knew it must be up and running!

Sue you are more than welcome, party party girl!

So had a very long lunch!!!! They get worse don't they? However there has been other things going on as well. Am going to a posh wedding on Friday and found today that a friend of my friend I am going with has a friend who died last week (hope you are following this) and the funeral is , you guessed it on Friday. What a mess. Don't know what will happen.

K2 glad to here Ireland still has incahol, Carol would never have recovered else!

Now the party starts! Where is BHB I have blankets and I'm not afraid to use them! Pass a pencil and a glass I have catching up to do.

Dear me can't spell hear now!

Karen shut the curtains! Snails... yuk.

Karen,- that just might be BooHoo in disguise!

Suex,- glad the flowers arrived safely. We hope it'll warm as much to recieve them as it does us to give them.XXXXXXX

Spag bol went down a treat, and RA is ready for some action! Whaddayamean he's had some action? The noises was just him chumping on a meat ball! He's said he'll show me how to do a salsa! Think Ramps can show you something too, Karen?

Eva - I have no doubt Ramps could show me something!!! In fact, I insist he does!! Where did I put that fan.....!!!

Pauline - here you go.. sharp pencil, large glass of incohol, lots of eye candy - does a party get much better than this??

mmm don't need anyone to show me anything, that duet that JBJ and MB are crooning quietly to me in the corner will do fine for now....who would have thought their voices would blend so nicely.
Any wine left or are we on to v&c?

Thanks Karen, that's better, now let's see JD is sat over there on his own. I know Carol wanted first dibs on him but can't possibly leave him on his own while he waits for her. Yoohoo Johnny, not feeling cold are you?

Did you see that nice turn RA just did on the dance floor? I wonder why they haven't asked him to do Strictly yet? YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS! ! ! ! ! ! Can he swing those hips!

Eva - you have a dance floor behind the sofa?? So that's what all the noises were!! Make way, Ramps wants to show you how it's done - well he will do when I let him go!!!!!!!

Pauline - poor BHB is sulking cos your using one of your special blankets on Jonny D. Don't worry though, I'll look after him. Come here BHB, I'll give you a cuddle to make you feel better as long as you don't mind sharing me with Ramps.........er sorry, I've just gone into a fantasy best not shared on here.......!!!!

FAN pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suex - you're here, have you a drink yet? guest of honour gets choice of performer, anyone you fancy??

Been having trouble with puter, now I log on and find you are having a party, right pass me a glass, no Karen fill it up first, Karen 2 please behave.

Suex,- keep your hands off RA. I'm not that generous!
Karen- I NEED A PENCIL. RA has gone all shy, and is covering behind 25 balloons. Now, we can't have that.
BAG, BANG, BANG............Come back, I only got three!
Where did he go?

Karen, you have Ramps - I'll dance with the BHB thank you very much!

What a mover that young man is!

Well one quick dance and now I have to go.

Good night Loppies!

Oh no you don't, no running off with BHB I'm sure i can handle him and JD...oo er, maybe I'd better use the fan myself! More wine please.

Eva - 25 BALLOONS???????? Just what does he have to hide!!!??

Behave?? sorry Jill, don't understand.........I think that I'm doing quite well with JBJ and MB but I suppose I could share, isn't that what loppies do, we can take turns I'll have MB first and swap you then for JBJ.

Aahhhh Jane, you have to go?? but it's only early. Carol isn't even back yet

Pass the bottle please Pauline, oohhh that gives me an idea, anyone up for a game of spin the bottle???? now that brings back memories!!

Oops sorry Jill, forget the glass, here's the bottle. Come on, join in - you're just in time, BHB needs rescuing, Pauline and Jane are fighting over him. Can you help? Oh didn't need to ask twice, she's off.....!!!!!!!

Karen,- that shade of green doesn't suit you! How many balloons did your Ploppy use?
Karen2,- so what happens to the one the bottle point at? See, even in the wilds of Norway we had some civilized fun and games!

Karen2 talking of games, I have a good drinking game, that I will introduce you to on 10/01!!!!

POP....POP....POP....

Oh dear, Suex is really warming to the task. Look how expertly she is doing the popping. I think she's done it before!

ooooh , think I was distracted then, didn't mean to hit submit.....hmmmmm, now theres a thought!

Thank you all for the advice re passport will keep you informed .
Auntie eva your vid id delightful well done. Oh party time yipee here is a bottle or two of the red stuff.
Thank you scotty for our beautiful home.
Please introduce me who is RA?
BHB can i have a little dance please can I auntie .... after all I have had a hell of a day yesterday!!!! grovel grovel, grovel. and i have brought your favourite smoke salmon auntie will that give a a quick twirl with BHB?
xxxxx

for what it's worth Suex, I've often had thoughts about the "submit" button!

Eva - I can't tell you, remember, Pauline already tried to embarrass Ploppy last time she met him!!!!! There'd be no stopping her if I let that secret out!

Eva - when we were kids, the two at either end of the bottle when it stopped had to kiss

...........but they'll have to wait til I'm finished with JBJ and MB, I just want to show them my cosy wardrobe, best place not to be found (oops did I say that out loud?)

Jill - looking forward to it!

Karen - go on, do tell???

Karen,- I'll ask him myself if I meet him again!
Chantale,- dear lady. Of course you can have a dance with BHB, but give me the smoked salmon first! RA is the lovely Richard Armitage. He married Dawn French in The Vicar Of Dibley. He has been to our parties before, but he is a bit shy. That's why I'm looking after him as best I can.

Anyway Eva, it's not the civilised fun and games we want to hear about but the uncivilised stuff! You think we believe you were always a good girl?

For those of you who like to pop things ...
http://public.aregner.com/bubblewrap.swf

Now while they are all busy doing that I will just sneak off in the Tardis with the BHB and Ramps ........raise the force field and anti-trace shields, off we go!

Now come on girls don't get technical, what the "submit" button has it anything to do with BHB,Karen I have finished that bottle is there another??????

Oh go on Karen, you know I wouldn't...much. Didn't think your Ploppy looked at all embaressed to be honest.

RA is Richard Armitage Chantale. Now as you have had a bad time of it recently I will release BHB for a little while so you can have a dance. Not for too long though, my blanket needs him it has missed him very much this last week.

Carys, you trickster! Karen - how could you have let her get away like that?

I see bubblewrap in that link, must check it out. Did I ever tell you about the time when PB was small and buying a birthday present for me and he asked the lady in the shop (not a teenager but a grown woman) who was wrapping it could he buy some extra bubblewrap for his mum because she liked popping it, and you know what, she actually charged him for it!

Awe this is all a bit much for me submit buttons, drinking games, popping balloons,I think I shall quietly fall asleep behind the sofa with BHB????????

Puff puff, ok chased after Carys on my supercharged broomstick and managed to grab BHB and whisk him back here, well we've only just got him back couldn't lose him again so quickly. Sorry about Ramps only had room for one and well it had to be our own lovely BHB didn't it?

Ah Pauline, I said you TRIED to embarrass him. After he's flaunted his erm, well, erm, his.... oh you know what, I think it takes a lot to embarrass him!!! Although, I'm sure you and Aunty Eva will do your best next time you see him!

Oh I love popping bubblewrap. Ploppy hates it, so I do it even more. Aren't I awful!! TeeHee.

Jill - there's always another bottle! Here you go.......!

oops watch out Eva, here comes Jill!

Pauline - you left Ramps behind, how could you!!

K2, I've got my broomstick charged up and I'm coming to get you - we need a rescue mission to get Ramps!

Jill,- the behind-the-sofa is taken, so move it! No, not the sofa...yourself!! RA and I are going to settle down now for a good night's sleep!
Karen2,- of course I was always a good girl.(It was hard to write that with my fingers crossed behind my back!)
Good night all, sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.

Just rooting around in my drinks cabinet, still have baileys, brandy, southern comfort and a very old bottle of port if anyone's feeling brave (does port have an expiry date?)

Doh, missed a party. Been trying to finish MY fan. Somehow all of my tribe have decided tonight I have to tend to them every 5 mins, so only just found our new home.

Thank you Scott, for this lovelee quick home.

Eva, well done for your first fanvid.

I do think Ramps could have been let off tonight in recognition for his 100 somethings, not certain what, but he seemed pleased when interviewed on R5.

Karen I can just imagine Eva, no wonder Ploppy was concerned.

Auds re my shorter posts now, I agree. Recently I blame RFFD.

Nightlee night all

All set K1, can I bring my bottle of baileys?

OOps lots of burst balloons and empty bottles........where's JD?? Pauline2, unhand that man and pass him this way! Good job I brought along my own champers. Now Jonny would you like a large glass - we can sneak out down the garden and look at the stars......Aunty Eva Jason D indeed!!!!!!!!! Oh bubblewrap - my favourite! The guys in the post room save it for me and bring it up for me to pop in moment of stress! Why is Aunty Eva behind the sofa?? Where is Lady Jane???

Jill, I only have one sofa but there's a grand space behind one of the armchairs, will that do?

Jo4 - can you look after JBJ and MB while I'm gone with K1?

Jo - Ramps has scored 100runs, 100 times.
Sir Cliff and I are trying to have a quiet conversation about his 50 years in showbiz but we keep being interrupted.
What a good thing DT has the Tardis as he was on BBC news at 10 0'clock re the opening of Hamlet.

How rude am I???? Scott, I've not thanked you for our cheery new home and what a well stocked bar!

Chantale, good try.... now let BHB go,he's been waiting for me (and my pencil) all night!

Oo err, I've got to submit now, night, night Loppies x

K2 - I love Port - have no idea if it has an expiry date though, it never lasts that long in my house. Bring the bottle with you for me and you can have the Baileys whilst we're on the rescue mission.

The Kar'ns let loose with incohol on a broomstick. WoooHooo, watch out here we come.......!

SueX - the BHB is waiting for you and you're going to submit?????? Well, I just bet you are!!!!!! (And who can blame you!!).

we'll be back soon loppies, don't wake the neighbours,
well one lot are great fun, they'll be fine,

Carol - there's a nice little bench for two down the end of the garden

SueX - submission, mmmmm yes, no better woman!
byeeeee!

I'm sorry Karen, didn't want to leave Ramps behind, but only room for one passenger on my broom so I had to choose between BHB and Ramps.........oooh sounds like heaven to me!! Had to stay faithful to BHB you know haow upset he gets if he thinks we have other , errr interests!

Carol I was only keeping JD entertained for you, honest, (she said looking innocent) Wouldn't want him to get bored now would we?

Now BHB I think we can wrap ourselves up in my blanket and have anice little snooze. so I will wish you all night night and sleep tight.

Ok Karen, now that we've got him we'll have to squeeze him in between us on the broomstick to get him back, oohhh however will we cope with that?

No, no, you have to steer, keep your eyes forward!!!! that's ok,I'll hold on tight to him to make sure he doesn't fall

No probs K2, but while you're holding tight on to him, he'll have to hold tight on to me!! (This is beginning to sound like an x-rated movie!!!).

Well it's past my bedtime. I've spent that long reading and writing emails tonight I've only just got here, and now I find I've missed the party! Oh well at least I've got some bubble wrap to play with, thanks Carys.

Thank you for our new home Scott, refreshingly quicker.

I meant to say thank you Pauline for passing on my message last night. Puter is fine now, they do have a mind of their own though.

I just wanted to say to everyone what a great bunch of people the Stage Loppies are. I'm proud to be one of you. On that sentimental note I'll say nite nite Loppies. x

Sure is, good job we've landed safely!
it's gone very quiet here, poor baby MB has fallen asleep on the beanbag, leaving JBJ all alone, that's ok, we can have him and Ramps for company and settle down now for a quiet Kar'n drinks time. I'm exhausted after all this running around. Anyone need ice?

Mm, JBJ, Ramps and the Kar'ns having a quiet (!!) drink. With the BHB too of course. Lovely thought! And on that happy note I shall take to my bed.

Night all. Sleep well.

Oiche mhaith go leir

Thanks for a great party everyone

Great party hick ... sorry... hick

Thanks for the party. Must get to bed before i fall asleep in chair.

Good Morning all!

It sounds like I left the party just as it got interesting!
What with Suex popping balloons and hitting submit!

Thank you for that K2!

Aw poor BHB you look exhausted - come and have a cuddle!

Morning all. Not too far behind Lady Jane this morning, I see. I have my acupuncture and massage to come today. Looking forward to it as usual. It's a lovely bright and sunny morning here. Wonder if it will last?
Hello sweetheart. HELLO SWEETHEART WAKEY WAKEY Now, we can't have you falling asleep on the job just because you went to a party last night. Do I know what happened? Of course, I have a computer, you know! You were abducted by the night shift and taken in the Tardis, the the Kar'ens came to rescue you and you were three on a broomstick broooooooooooooming through the air, and you were scared stiff! I bet you were! This is serious, you know. I know, being drunk in charge of a brromstick isn't a crime in LoppyLand, but being three on a broomstick is! And no safety belts, either I bet? Tsk, tsk. I'll talk to those two, I promise. Happy now?
Still sulking. What's wrong now. The party? What about it? You were dancing the night away with Chantale, Jill and Suex and had Pauline2 cuddling you under the blanket. What was I doing behind the sofa and who was I doing it with? ? ? ? ? You put it so crudely! I will have you know that I was only being kind and hospitable to poor RA. He is such a shy man, and I couldn't leave him to himself, now could I. He wanted to stay behind the sofa. Don't look so disbelieving!
You are jealous! ! ! ! Because we let theses other gentlemen entertain (!) us. We were just being nice, I said. Blame Karen2 for inviting all of them. Next party should only be with us and you ? ? ? ? ? Not much of a party, then. That's what we do here every day. Come on BHB, you have to learn to share us with other men. ( Bless him,- he's so insecure.) Now listen here, let's do what we usually do,- take the coffe outside, sit down and you can tell me all about what was going on last night. I was a bit preoccupied, you see!

..Now Aunty Eva, I know you have a guilty conscience and are trying to win the BHB round, but I need him in the kitchen. Today's special is kedgeree and he asked me to show him my special technique........otherwise normal fare, although we are including a cooked brekkie today for those feeling slightly the worse for wear after last night's party (poor Karentwo will have a lot of explaining about the number of empty bottles), so it's eggs - fried, poached or scrambled, grilled Wiltshire bacon, special mushrooms, black pudding, saute potatoes, hash browns and grilled tomatoes. Well I have to keep the BHB busy now he is officially back! Waffles and bread as usual and infused fruit of course! Think we will need to set up indoors as it looks like rain (again), although it is not too cold this morning. Tonight finds me in Covent Garden (sadly not going to see any shows) as meeting Big Sis and Eldest Niece for dinner (they have a day of massage and treatments at The Sanctury, which was niece's birthday pressie on Big Sis's Big Birthday!), but I will be strolling past the theatre at about 5.30...... Aunty Eva obviously a good day for massage as I have my one in the office today!

Karen2 that was very comfy behind the armchair Thank you, and the port was lovely Karen, that reminds me I must clear out our drinks cupboard, I will let you all know when I am doing it.
Off to Sussex this morning so see you all tomorrow.

Morning All
my my my it's quiet in here, where is everyone? sore heads? oh dear, you lushes will have to do better than that, more training I think!

Well I'm still off w**k this week so a nice relaxed brekkie again. I'll have the cooked one with poached eggs please.
I've already cleared up what must be about 40 or more bottles, I think a trip to the bottlebank is required before the neighbours notice, mind you I'm sure they enjoyed the entertainment last night even if Karen and I were the cause of some panic when we crash landed in the back garden.

Massage certainly seems to be the theme of the day as I have one booked for 10.30, can't wait. I had one at the weekend when we were away but she said she had to take it easy on me as I had so many knots it was really hurting,
she suggested I try to have another during this week and then that evening I got awful pains and felt horribly nauseous, apparently an after effect of the de-stressing. I went to bed feeling terrible but woke up ok the next morning.

Carol - quite intrigued at you having one at the office, is it a regular service, does your company provide it?

Morning all, much more like my normal time this! Well what do you know it is my day for my massage this afternoon at my chiropractor. Must be Loppy massage day!

No ill effects from last nights' party at all. Great parties you give K2. We mustn't leave it so long before the next one!

Hello BHB, you enjoyed yourself last night but thought there were too many men? Ah but you know you are the most important one of all, you are our own BHB. Bless he is blushing. Oh you start your other job in London this afternoon do you, well maybe you needa short nap to refresh yourself? I just so happen to have my blanket......

Like I said Pauline, more lush training needed!
gotta run now, must shower and head out - hot stones are waiting!
ttyl

...I am happy to provide lush training to whoever needs it! Karentwo, we pay £35 for four sessions of massage and the company picks up the rest. Tends to be a session of four weeks, then someone else takes four weeks and then you get another four. Mind you in these rather difficult times for the construction industry they may well decide this is an expense they don't need! Still fingers crossed.......

Morning Loppies what a great party last night feet sore through dancing thank you so much BHB such a gentlemaneven when i kept treading on your foot. lost the art you know but thanks to you and loppies I am regaining my form.
Will be in touch later as I now have to put greating cards in envelopes and cellophane. Still have noyt done Vat return ....me avoiding it hehehe.ohhhhhh I am naughty.Have a brilliant day all.
xxxx Chantale

Goodmorning all. This one is for the Irish loppies.
I heard such a strange thing this morning from a co-worker and she was adament that she heard it correctly.
Irish TV has been looking for people to stay in a hotel in Ireland naked for a TV-show!
They couldn’t find anyone in their own country and have been looking in Holland through our national radiostation. They probably thought that Dutch people are in for anything… and they were right.
Apparently 10 people flew to Ireland on Monday and are coming back today.
They have been staying in a hotel as I said naked and all the time they were filmed.
Now I don know what they look like but I thought I warn you beforehand.
Look with caution or not.
I have to say though what strange TV you have in Ireland.

Well, you ladies know how to party!!!
Scott, thank you for our new home
Heard on sky showbiz that DT was excellent in Hamlet and have found this ,don’t forget to play the video
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7540819.stm
Ali, there was more news about J Depp moving to Norfolk

Anne,- their TV programmes aren't the only strange things coming out of Ireland! I know some Dublops who can easily fit into that description! (I know I'm being foolhardy now before the Dublin fest, but I like to live dangerously!)

Maybe we should declare Wednesday the National Loppy Massage Day! Yes, I'm back and feeling so much better, as usual.
Carol,- £35 is a very good price for 4 sessions of massage. I pay £30 for a combined session of massage & acupuncture. Unfortunately I can't afford to do it every week, only once a fourtnight, but it keeps me off the painkillers during the day, so it is well worth the expence.

Karen2,- hangovers? What is that? I was fine this morning. (I'll tell you this in the strictes confidence,- I was so busy keeping RA happy last night, I hardly had time to drink! Don't tell the others. They might be jealous, and whatever you do, don't let BHB know! He really didn't appriciate all the extra male company!)

Do you remember we talked about the tall ships? Here is a link to a video of the tall ships race coming to Bergen. The comments are in Norwegian, but there is an interview with a Mexican sailor who speaks a charming English. I hope this works:
http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/distrikt/hordaland/verdi/67186

The link works Eva, the ships are so beautiful, and the Mexican isn't bad either!

I am not sure about the tv programme Anne, I mean how much of naked people in a hotel do you want to see?!! Humm sounds odd.....no not going to qualify it!

Eva what were you up to behind that sofa?

OH thank you for that Maggie - roll on January when we get to see it! Now if Mr Depp does move to Norfolk you could find you and Ali have visitors....Aunty Eva don't know what the full price of the massages would be as we obviously only pay our little portion, but I thought it was a good price too!

Good Afternoon everone! I know - I'm late for lunch, it's been a busy day!

Jill - enjoy Sussex - Carol enjoy your dinner and, well just about everyone it seems, enjoy those massages!

I'm looking forward this evening to watching DVDs and drinking Pink Fizz with a friend. we work in the same office so normally see each other everyday, but between her going on leave then me going on leave, today is the first time we've meet up in a month!

Thanks for all the good wishes re my mum's friend. She seems to be improving, but only slowly.

JaneE,- PINK Fizz? ? ? You're letting the side down!

Pauline2,- that's between the three of us,- the sofa, RA and myself. Being a lady (yes, I do bake!), I would never tell.

Back from massage, very chilled out and determined to remain so!
Carol that's a very good deal from your company, hope it continues for you.
Read in the paper here last week that one of Ireland's biggest property companies, Sherry Fitzgerald, were proposing a 10% paycut across all staff levels in order to avoid redundancies.

Maggie - that was a great link, made me really wish I could get to see it, DT is lovely and it's great he's getting such good reviews. It's also wonderful to see his reputation getting in young people who would never normally have been there. I just loved the reaction of two girls at the very end of the video, actually got me all teary but that could just be the effect of the massage!

Anne it will be interesting to see if your friend was correct, have to say I've heard nothing about it but that doesn't mean it's not true. Generally, while I wouldn't say our TV is earth shattering it hasn't been THAT bad, but you never know, reality TV can be very unreal at times!

Eva,Eva - lovely ships and cute sailors, but watch out for the strange Dublops, you really don't want to start messing with us!

..and the Stage has reivew of Hamlet too! Sorry you will miss out Karentwo, but we will all send you reviews! Aunty Eva can't access the Tall Ships from the office so will have to do it from home much later! I wanted to see if the Sedov was there!

Should have said thaks for the hamlet link Maggie. I have just read the review in the Telegraph, and while maybe not as euphoric as some it is good and the whole production sounds great.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml?xml=/arts/2008/08/06/bthamlet106.xml

In case anyone is interested.

Ah Eva you know JaneE isn't averse to pink when it is incoholic! Hope you enjoy it JaneE.

Good review in Guardian (or Gruniad as we fondly know it)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/stage/2008/aug/06/theatre.rsc

and one in the Times on line too:-

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/stage/theatre/article4466565.ece

Liked the fact he did a scrum too!

Ladies, some advice. Have just had a text from a non-loppy friend who is thinking of planning a London trip including show as a birthday present for her sister. Wonder why she thought to ask me for info????
She wants to plan for sometime in Sept, and will probably go to Joseph as she's heard me MENTION it! Lee isn't on hols then is he, just wanted to double check?

omg, Take That's "Rule the world" has just come on the radio, and who is it that I immediately think of? Not Take That, although they're very good, but it's straight away The Winners Story that springs to mind.

No don't think so K2 I think his next leave is in November time, without checking not sure. Try the website, should tell you there.

Right massage here I come...there may me squeaking at times!

See you soon.

K2, same here with Take That.

Lee's next holiday is 3 - 11 Nov I think. I had to check recently as my Dutch friend is coming over to see Joseph in the autumn. The dates are on the See site.

Well I'm actually leaving the office in a few mins - a long evening at home at last and Ploppy is out tonight so some Lee time I think.

Yes indeed, Pauline2! I'm not adverse to alcholic pink! For some reason I've never found alcoholic purple fizz.

Thanks for the links Carol & Diana - and for the tall ship link Eva, though it'll be tomorrow before I get a chance to look at it!

Aw Karentwo - what a shame you won't get to see DT playing Hamlet. I'm going in Novemember with some non-Loppy friends.

BTW Carol, there's a lady at work who shares your name, has a red fan which she wafts about from time to time and who is a Richard III supporter! Spooky eh?

Well, there's incahol wanting to be drunk! See ya tomorrow Loppies

Ooh Maggie I hope JD (Mr Depp NOT Mr Donovan!!) does finally move here. Visitors more than welcome Carol!
Thought I was finally getting a quiet night in with Ploppy and all 3 scollops for a change tonight but I've now been asked to work. Hope they don't mind?
phone's ringing.
Oh well, that was middle scollop asking if he could stay for tea at his girlfriend's, seems I was the only one wanting a family night anyway so needn't have worried after all!
Sloppy didn't realise I was seeing DT in Hamlet, she's now wishing she'd asked to join us. Ploppy, on the other hand, heard tickets are going for £££'s on Ebay and asked how much I really wanted to see it, better make sure the ticket is safely hidden in case he gets any bright ideas!!

Afternoon all. My, it's been hot here today. I thought summer was supposed to be over! Not here, I can tell you that, and not a drop of rain either since Sunday, so it's watering time again (for the flowers, not me!) this evening.
Ali,- surely your scollops aren't old enough to have girlfriends?

Evening all. Thought you might like to know that Radio 2 has started its 250 ticket giveaway for the 14th Birthday in the park. Again ring 03700 100 200 (10p a min) and follow the instructions. Give it a go look what happened to me!

Have had a call from Carol and she has had an official sighting of the GO, she just happened to be passing the Adelphi at scrum time! Will leave the details to her, but he has been seen!!! She sounded quite happy!

Ali if JD (Depp of course) comes to live near you, can I come and visit too please?!

Evening all

Eva - have you been keeping the summer to yourself again!! It's been raining all day here (again!!). And I saw on the news this morning that it's only 142 (or something like that) shopping days to Christmas!!!!!! I nearly threw something at the TV!

Jill - glad you enjoyed the port last night but was it that or me that reminded you to clear out your drinks cabinet!! Yes, I see the connection - think "Karen" think "drink"!!

What's with all this massaging going on. Snot fair! I want one!! Does the BHB do them by any chance!!? Oh he does! Get back you lot, you've already had one so you'll have to sit this one out I'm afraid. Shame!!

Carol - when I first read your post re the lush training followed by the massage comment I didn't see the exclamation mark in between the two sentences so I read it as "I am happy to provide lush training to whoever needs it Karentwo, we pay £35 for four sessions" and I thought, hang on, we're paying them to train them in lushness!!!! Then again, I can go for that!!

Eva - so, what happened last night was between you, RA and the sofa?? Well considering Goldie speaks (did I just really say that!), does your sofa speak to? And is it/he/she open to bribery!!?

10 naked people in a hotel?? Whatever next!! Sausages for breakfast anyone!!

I had also checked on Lee's next holiday as Ploppy's birthday is 11th Nov and I thought perhaps he might like a couple of days in London and see a show of his choice. And, of course, whilst I was there I might as well see if there's anythng else I might fancy (ahem!) seeing as well. I was thinking of going the week leading up to Ploppy's birthday but for some reason I can't fathom the week after looks more appropriate!!!!! Not sure he'd agree but what's it got to do with thim!!

Right, off to check today's links and, er, what else was I going to do - oh yes, get a drink!!

Pauline - Carol "just happened to be passing" did she!!?? Well, there's a coincidence!!!!!!!!

Evening all. Been hot here today too and no rain, but quite cloudy.
Pleased the GO has been sighted and is back at the Adelphi.
Hope you all feel better after your massages, r-e-l-a-x-e-d and chilled out.
Thanks for all the links.
Autumn seems to be coming here as a flock of geese has just flown over to the Queen Mother reservoir.

Karen,- I haven't kept the summer to myself. I sent some to Kathleen and Queenie at Windsor too!
The sofa belongs to Karen2, so you have to ask her. A talking sofa? I've never heard the like! Some people's imaginations know no bounds!
Pauline2,- Carol just happened to pass the Adelphi? ? ? ? If you believe that, you'll believe anything.
I have phoned the BBC, begging for a ticket. Maybe some of your luck will drip on me!

Please don't mention autumn or Christmas - haven't had summer yet!

There's a bit more info about the schools musical programme DVO is doing. Why Sky grumble grumble http://ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5jn74lvn_Tj0pokYk2a0enM5urD5A

Ahem, that was actually MY sofa Karen, so I'm sure we can entice some juicy info out of it as to last nights shennanigans!

Sounds like a wonderful birthday pressie for ploppy and so selfless of you to travel all the way to the WestEnd to give him a treat.

Thanks for the info guys, have told my non-loppy friend that she just couldn't possibly get as entertaining a show as Joseph to bring her sister to, I think I have her convinced.

Ooooh Carol is a lucky loppy today, wonder if she'll be on tonight to tell us the details.

Didn't know there was a Queen Mother reservoir, you learn something new every day!

A murder is announced. It is with deep sorrow I have to tell you of the violent death of my little furry friend. I know he had been missing for some weeks, having taken up a new home in the back bedroom. He was well fed and more relaxed in this room. Unfortunately my summer house guests, with their fully functioning ears, eyes, teeth and claws located him in his retirement rest home. They quickly despatched him this morning after breakfast. (Judged by the state of rigor mortise.) They are now undertaking a grid like search pattern to see if I have any more little furry friends. (The only one I know of is sitting watching me with his friend Jessica.)

You try to take care of life beyond the blog for a day and end up missing over a hundred posts. I'm not going to lie to you and say I've read them all - just a quick skim, I'm afraid -- so I'm defaulting to: Thank you! What a shame! I'm sorry to hear that! You don't say! Yes he is! and ohmmmm! I did glean something about a party; I was with you in spirit. Or spirits, as the case may be.

The Dublops have been working very hard to get organised for a certain event. You'd think with only four of us we could manage to get together to discuss things, but the last time we did that we ended up doing the Lee-drool thing (sorry about the carpet, K2!) and I doubt any future gatherings will be any more productive. You just mention his name and the little red fans come out...And speaking of fans: Carol, are you now working with Jane? Nice to know you're spreading the Ricardian love up north.

Eva I really hope so, more tickets to go round this time!

Karen2 I think you should interrogate that sofa of yours it must have lovely tales to tell!

Jo4 ughh, more gory tales, however I do appreciate the effort made to make it sound ok!

Oh , no I don't believe 'just happened' to be passing either! What amazing timing!

Crikey, you can't get onto the blog for a day and you miss all the fun.. Sounded like a cracking party.. sorry I missed it. JD, Ramps, RA and the like (stamps foot in a huff)
Thanks for the link for Hamlet - that was quite interesting (DT's scrum was very sedate - can't understand how a girl could get her thingies in a twist about a guy signing a programme, I mean, she could hardly breathe!! None of us would behave like that surely???
Jo4 - commiserations for your furry friend. I hope he was a loner and that your summer guests are not compelled to commit further heinous crimes for the rest of their stay. We may have to put Terse and BooHiss, or even Mr Nettles if the body count increases.
There's such a pleasant feeling to goes with a first hand report that the GO has been sighted and is indeed back where he belongs. I feel safe again know all is well.
OK, just going to check the emails - there's been a lot of them these past couple of days... See ya later.

Hi Jo4 sorry to hear about your little friend, hope it was quick and painless
Sorry also Auds, next time we'll try to give notice of parties, I'm afraid it was a bit spontaneous and got quite wild(that seems to be rather a loppy habit doesn't it?)

The only problem, Pauline, with getting my sofa talking is that it might start to tell more tales than just about what Eva got up to last night, if you know what I mean........ and I might not want anyone else hearing what it has to tell!

Ahhh yes I can see that might be a problem Karen2. Maybe some things are best left alone!

I agree Auds, feel much better knowing GO is back where he should be. How will we cope after Jan 10th?

Hi all
Jo has sent me the latest Loppy stats, and I have put it in the Miscellaneous album.
I hope you are all well and getting geared up for Dublin, it's not long now (watch out Dubliners)

Again with the deceased furry creatures, Jo4? Sounds like Watership Down in your neck of the woods. I think Auds is right in her plan to bring in a couple of professionals to investigate the goings on...

Hi Martin, nice of you to stop by and check out the new digs. Shame you missed the party -- I hear you're quite the dancer...

Right what's next, Loppy stats updated, my fan nearly finished, one other part finished and drying. Oh yes better empty w***machine. I was talking to a woman behind the till in co-op the other day, we were tutting about a woman who's just had twins, she now has 4 under 4. I said I'd stick to cats, the woman said they make less mess. Tell my cats that!
Auds+Pauline, nice to know people are thier right place, trouble is after 10th we won't know were that is.

Evening all, to quote Karen. Good to hear the GO is back where he belongs. January looms ever nearer, and that just makes me want to go and buy MORE TICKETS. Don't suppose there is another STG Loppy meet before October is there?

Thanks for the links folks, I'm not a fan of Shakespeare, probably because I've never seen or read any of his work, (is that a dreadful thing to admit to?) I reckon DT would be very watchable though.

Lovely ships Eva.

Jo4, my fan arrived today, my word you do pack 'em well took me best part of ten minutes to get into it. Thank you so much, it's beautiful. Sorry about your little furry friend, although I don't think I would like one in my spare room. Some things are best outside.

Nite nite Loppies x

Just read my post again, SL meet in London I meant, unless the GO is coming to Dublin??

Oh nearly forgot, one more thing, my group email replies to Carys and Alison keep coming back to me.
Really going now.

If any is interested, the Dublin Theatre Festival program has been announced. Here's the link:
http://www.dublintheatrefestival.com/programme/default.asp?season=2008&m=p

evening friends what no party tonight uhhhh.
Thank you Diana for the links.
Well Jo4 lets hope tha tby that time we shall know where he will be.
Thank you Martin will go and have a look.
oh I am so tired of this terrible weather.so so dreary.
Got the DVD with the LMAS scrapbook today it was quite a feast beautifully done and again was in tears why oh why does he have that effect on me. Combination of songs and photos I suppose. what a lovely souvenir to have.
Ninite dear loppies I wish i could have made the Dublinfest i would have loved that perhaps anothr time.
loads of sweet meads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So nice to know he is back where he belongs.

Thanks for the links to Hamlet reviews, I should think it will be even better when we go in Jan., it's always hard that reviews come on the opening night, it'll be well settled in after a month or so. Also noticed it's 3 hours 40 minutes long!

Sorry to have missed the party last night sounds like you had fun.

Commiserations for your furry friend Jo4, that is the way things happen I suppose, it's bad luck to be so far down the food chain!

Thanks for the numer for BBC2 tickets for ALW's do in the park Pauline, will have a go.

Hi Honeys I am home and yes I saw HIM! He's back and looking as gorgeous as ever. I told Ploppy we needed to get to C Garden via the Adelphi - "Is that to worship at the shrine?" he enquired! As we neared I could see people gathering, my heart started to thud quietly and then, yes he was there!! Wearing red tee shirt, curls damp and looking as if they might have had a trim (sorry Auds) - didn't look as if he had been in the sun, some traces of stage make up visible! Very well behaved scrum who moved back once they had got things signed, so I was able to move slightly forward, then he looked across, smiled at me and waved - he did! he did! Even Ploppy admits that! Then he signed a couple more things for people (no red fans) and waved and he was gone! Saw Roro was there too! After this meal with sis and niece was a bit of an anticlimax (sorry Sis and niece, I didn't mean it) - had a very nice meal in Pasta Brown (restaurant we went to for Gerifest). Really muggy in London and now I am home there is sheet lightning flashing around! Spooky as you say Lady Jane - key question does she drink?? Off to ring the no. for tickets now, so I will wish you all Sweet Meads!

Hi again, neighbour just called in for a chat, brought me back a very nice handbag from her hols in Bulgaria.

Don't worry Maeve, we were saying we'd have to have parties much more often and maybe we could give everyone advance notice!

Well Sue, if you can get the GO to Dublin, you go girl!!
We do have a lookalike over here but we haven't been able to track him down long enough to find out if he can sing.
Had you guessed that's one of the missions for the Dublinfest weekend?

Hope some of you win tickets for the ALW thing, it would be great for SL's to go. Maybe you should all rub up against Pauline, she's lucky lately.

Bed is calling, night all.

come on Linx, you can do it! (trying to get her on !)

Hi Stage Loppies,

At last, I've been trying to get on to this blog for ever - hopefully this is it!

Well Done! I'm proud of you Sis.

DUBLINFEST UPDATE: As you know, we've been trying to come up with a way to involve all the stageloppies in the Dublinfest, even those who aren't able to make it. Plans are evolving, but one thing we've come up with is a loppy raffle (no, that doesn't mean we're raffling off a loppy. We tried, but Karen2 wouldn't go for it. No team spirit, in my opinion). You don't need to buy a ticket or spend any money; we'll just put everyone's name into a hat and the lucky loppy will get a prize. There are going to be several goodies, some small and silly, others a bit fancier (no dates with Lee, though. Shame.) Several lovely loppies are contributing things such as pictures, Jane's artwork, etc. (I don't want to say too much because some items are works in progress & the loppies responsible for them should be getting the glory. Also, we'd like there to be a few surprises). I'm hoping there will be enough goodies so almost everyone will be able to get something. Oh, and you don't have to attend the Dublinfest to win. One of the prizes is a painting I just finished tonight. I've sent a photo of it to our Photographer Extraordinaire, Martin, so you can check it out when he's had time to post it. Right, it's goodnight from me (and it's goodnight from him!)

Linx, you wildcat, there you are! And it's about time too! Nice to have the Stageloppy Siblings in our midst again. Right, I really am off now...(Watch it!)

Hi ladies. Did you think I'd gone AWOL? I have been hard at work with a project for the Dublinfest. Geri set me a task (she shows no mercy, that woman!) and it's almost finished, but I need some help from another Stageloppy. Do I sound mysterious? It was my intention! It will all be revealed in Dublin.
For you left-at-homes,- don't despair. It's a project that will go out to all of you, but you have to be patient. No, I will say no more.
I'm heading for my bed now. I have to be up very early tomorrow morning as I'm off to London to see The House of Commons and the Cabinet War Rooms. We have an early start from Canterbury, so I'll bid you all good night, sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.

Ooh rub against me? Oh just you people, no disrespect was rather hoping you meant the GO for a minute!

Watched the Saddam thing, chilling but very good, then spoke to friend about this wedding/funeral problem which we have sorted, I think! All is well and we will all at least be at the good bit with the incahol!

Am going to check the Dublin festival then hit the hay, so good night all
sleep tight.

Hi Linx, so pleased to see you! It wasn't too painful geting on here I hope!

Really am off to bed now Night night.

Well, it's been a busy evening for me though sadly not anything as exciting or intriguing as some of you!! Sounds like Dublinfest is shaping up nicely!

Linx - yayyyy!!!. Lovely to "see" you. Glad you got here! Well done you.

Yeeha, I managed it!!! Unfortunately it was rather painful but I'm not the greatest teckie (understatement) so that probably had something to do with it!!!!

As the song goes "ain't no stoppin me now"

XX

Carol, you just had to go past the Adelphi justat the right time!?!
Hi Linx, nice to see you.
Nightlee night

Linx, you'll have to get a pencil or an openid, then you don't have to type code in each time. The others will have to say how to do it, I've forgotten. You could try this link to see.
https://www.myopenid.com/signup
it's not the one for a pencil, it's the one Eva and I use. Pencil looks smarter, this one works as well.
Really gone now

Nice to "meet" you at last Lin, have heard about you and seen pic.s of you and SueX!

How lovely that we Dublinfest non- attenders are not to be forgotten, typical Loppy kindness, thanks Dublops!

Have been having fun organising the first 'group' on my e-mail, not done it before.

Morning all. Surprised to see me this early? I told you I have an early start today. Maybe I'll even beat Lady Jane.(I suppose she's writing now, anyway.)
How rude was I last night:
Linx,- WELCOME TO lOPPYLAND. How nice to see you here. Not techi? Not yet,- just you wait. We have all improved immensly in the techi department since we joined up here. I think it happens by osmosis!
Hello sweetheart. Yes, you are excused for yawning when you see me. I know it's tiredness, not the sight of me! I don't have a lot of time this morning, so my usual leaded, please and a piece of toast.
I'll see you all some time tonight. Not sure when we're back. If I learn a chernel of wisdom in the House of Commons today (I just might, since the MPs are on their summer break!), I'll share it with you later. And if I "just happen" to catch a glimps of GO, I'll share that with you too. (What? We'll be in the same city, won't we?)

Beaten by the Lepry, but with such good news, I don't blame her!

Good Morning ladies
I have received the picture of a prize for the Dublinfest from Geri (Looks pretty good) it is now online in the Miscellaneous album, sorry it wasn't put up earlier but I went to bed relatively early (for me) last night.

Actually I am a little concerned, after seeing what you ladies get up to on the blog (after the party the other night) I dread to think what you'll get up to in Dublin when you all get together (Watch out Dublin, lock up your sons)

He's back!!!!! http://pub29.bravenet.com/forum/2462310622/show/891232

Morning. Had a fun (not) experience earlier. The building alarm hadn't been switched off so when I came in, it went off and my alarm code didn't work. It was so loud I couldn't think straight, then the reception phone wouldn't work. The security guard arrived a couple of mins later while I was phoning the alarm company and switched it off.

Lovely to see you Lin.

...morning, morning BHB - ok see the early birds have been in and you have served them already? You made the kedgeree on your own today? - you see what a clever boy he is? Learns very quickly! Let's get cracking with those eggs - omlettes a la mode this morning I think, along with scrambled egg on toasted bagels with grilled bacon or smoked salmom. Late in today as train journey from hell - left early this morning and got in about 15 minutes ago! Aunty Eva have a lovely day - it's a bit overcast here at the moment but at least not muggy like yesterday! LinX how lovely to see you (waves), and lots of ooohhhhhhmmmmms for those in need today. Have a lovely day everyone.

Huh! Just to clarify, I have no problem being raffled off in the name of charity/fun/whatever, I think I'd be a wonderful prize!
All I asked was that the GO be fixed up with the winning ticket. But for some reason Geri won't go for it? I thought it was perfectly fair, he already owns so much of my time and attention, why not finish the job!

LinX - wonderful to see you! The return of the giggle sisters eh?

Hi Martin - we'll send you the photographic evidence after Dublinfest and you can decide if your concerns were realised! Don't worry though, we'll take very good care of your OH.

Morning all, another busy day awaits me! Actually nothing strenuous, having a manicure this morning, then have to be at Sloppys' all afternoon so won't be on here much till tonight. Stop cheering! Huh!

Can't understand why Geri wouldn't go for that Karen2, seems reasonable to me. In fact under those circumstances I'll offer myself as a prize as well!

Interesting link Geri, what I want to know is what happened in March? If you look at the graph and go back 6months - a year you'll see a plummet in March, very odd.

Morning BHB, oh look he's got my blanket already! Why have you got that resigned look on your face? Coffee and a cuddle I think, oh yes there is always time for that.

Karentwo I think you would be a lovely prize! Do though understand Geri's reservations on the caveat.......Neither boss in at the moment but that is creating its own problems -desperately trying to solve some problems on legal documents.

mmm lovely bagels and crispy bacon, thanks BHB (and Carol)

Have a good day Eva and everyone else. Diana - maybe that's your "annoying thing" over, and the rest of the day will be great (hope so)

Now, need to do a little of that dreaded h*******k then later taking sloppy for lunch and to see Mamma Mia.

Also need to stock up on the TLC for PB tomorrow as he faces into attempt no 5 to get this toe sorted, but at least this time under general anaesthetic. Fingers (and toes) crossed that this time it works.

ttyl

Popped back as I forgot to say ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmms in case we have some in need of them, and just seen your post about PB Karen2. He definitely needs some so ohhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmms for him tomorrow.

Now I must go! Later!

Morning lovelies
ooooooooooohhhhhhhhmmmmsssss for Karen2 and all fingers crossed for PB.
Coffee please BHB need energy today !!!because of show to sort out.
Just popped in to say hello now going in into Martin;s to view Geri's master piece. see you all later xxxxx

Morning Loppies!

Yes Eva - you well and truly beat me onto the blog this morning. My guest of last night was sleeping in my study, and I couldn't get onto the blog from Ploppy's PC.

Geri - Well Done! That's a lovely painting. You are deffinately a multi-talented Loppy! (Thanks for putting it on Martin)

Hello Linx! How lovely to have both of Giggle Sisters on the blog!

Carol - he waived at you!!! SQQQUUEEAALLL! It is so nice to know he's back!

Jo4 - How terrible! Furry Friend murdered! Bring in Boo-Hiss!

Karen2 - lots of Ohmmmms for PB. Fingers are crossed for him!

...had an exciting morning. Had to go over to Canary Wharf to meet Baby Boss and get legal docs signed - mind a nice change (also meant I could sit on the Tube and read my book!). Just had a heavy shower here, but now leaving to lunch with a married man (I know - I have no shame!).

Hi!
Dublops, a big thankyou for all your hard work making arrangements. I feed ploppy snippets every now and then and the only response so far has been "I suppose you'll have a hangover when I pick you up from the airport then?" and "Hmm sounds an expensive weekend!"
PB oohhmms for your treatment
Eva yes scollops are too young for girlfriends but middle one (only 10!!) has been "seeing" his for a while now, she is lovely but very shy!
Carol HE smiled at you!! Want to trade places next time?
Drove home last night in pouring rain with fantastic lightning show, but still so warm so I didn't sleep well again. Lovely right now but just seen the forecast and we may be in for a rough evening. No idea when ploppy will be able to finish harvesting at this rate, makes it difficult to plan anything.

Carol, HE WAVED AT YOU!!!!!!! How good is that?

Hi Linx, lovely to see you.

Geri, you clever Loppy you. Is there no end to your talents?
Dublinfest plans sound as if they're coming along nicely.

Diana, I have a thing about alarms, if the fire alarm went off at the home I managed, we had to evacuate forty seven old folks. Nightmare, especially as most of them didn't want to move. The worst was in the middle of the night. It happened quite often in the summer months, due to thunderbugs, and other tiny insects getting into the system. Fortunately the home was split into zones, so full evacs were rarely necessary. So whenever I hear an alarm my nervous system kicks into overdrive.

Karen2, lots of ohhhmmmsss for PB.

Back later if poss.

Hi folks.. I got so engrossed in cleaning up my emails and group addresses last night that I missed the BBC Lost Land.. programme.. so I had to watch it on iPlayer as soon as afterwards...
Carol, you are a clever LUCKY Loppy.. I think the GO must be sweet on you! Jealous? Me? Naaaah... O dear, what's happening to my nose?
Well done LinX for getting on to the blog. It's good to 'see' you here.
And mucho thanks to the DubLops in advance for all the planning and arrangments for the DubFest... I'm really looking forward to this - 4 weeks from tomorrow!!
Geri - is there no end to your talents?? What an excellent picture. Oil? Acrylic? Watercolour?
I noted in one of the commuter papers the other day that 'fans' like ours, are the most popular item to have as a commuter these days = a lot of folk opt for one of those rather than the little electric jobs.. more effective and aesthetically pleasing...
And then last night, there was an advert to Joseph tickets from £15!!!!! With Lee Mead.... I took offence to that (but delighted as well, don't suppose they're DNA Zone tickets though).
I might see you at breakfast tomorrow.. I have another opportunity to see Leonard Cohen UC&P, well not P, but UC at least. Another date announced - and tkts go on sale tomorrow 9a.m. for the 14 Nov so I will be at work earlier than usual. I'm sorry his accountant shafted him, but I am also really grateful too.

Hi all. I have been putting together some clips to go on a DVD of 2008 (so far) and as part of that made a video of the West End Live appearance mixed from two sources, which makes it more interesting to watch, I think.

The files can be accessed here http://www.gilliangvideo.co.uk/LM/WELmixedlarge.wmv and http://www.gilliangvideo/LM/WELmixedsmall.wmv

Lets hope I can mention two URLs in one posting as I'm signed in.

Evening All (sound like pc plod again)
Just back from taking sloppy to Mamma Mia, and it's very good. Yes, you have to swallow a big helping of corny and predictable but if you can let yourself go and just enjoy it, it really is a fun girlie movie.
The singing in most cases is pretty dire, MS does well enough but poor Mr Brosnan really should have stuck to 007!

Oooh Carol, how nice to be able to just wander past the adelphi whenever it takes your fancy, and very good timing!
Does he perhaps remember the naming of the loppies and recognise you?
I remember my thrill back in March when I arrived in London and the excitement of just knowing I was in the same city as the GO.

Ok, have to make dinner, later........

I thnk I'm going to have to go and see Mamma Mia - everyone seems to enjoy it!

Thanks Gillian, I look forward to watching it.

Martin: sons, brothers, next-door neighbours…

Pauline, March was when Scott was having problems with his big black box and we were nomadic for a while. I suspect that’s why the stats are lower then.

Ohms for Brian, K2. Hope things go better this time. Ohms, too, to anyone else who needs them: ohhhhhhmmmmmmm!

What’s next, Carol? Blowing kisses at you? We need to get you a special badge that says, ‘I am the original loppy’. I can see you in fifty years (and you’re an old woman of 77) being constantly asked to give audiences to new young loppies. They’ll kiss your loppy badge and sit at your feet while you regale them with tales of the eternally gorgeous and youthful GO…

Thanks for the nice comments about the picture. It’s mixed media, Auds: watercolour, ink, acrylic and conte chalk on canvas, 12” x 10”. I prefer to do portraits in oils, but didn’t have the time. Never mind. Ooh, and can you – if you get close enough – touch the hem of the Great LC’s robes as he passes by? Don’t worry if you can’t; it’s enough to breathe the same air!

We had some good news today. My friend Elaine sent us a text that her mother’s post-surgical consultation showed her mass has been completely removed and there’s no infiltration in the lymph nodes or bone. Thanks for all the ohms.

Evening people. Back after a day of rushing about not doing a lot. This morning saw my friend whose son is getting married tomorrow. She was frantic, a firm of well known suit hirers have sent all the wedding party suits in the wrong sizes! Not just by a little, but a lot! Apparently they look like penguins! Poor thing she was frantic before this. Hope it goes well tomorrow as she has worked so hard on it.

£15 to see himself Auds? Must be up in the Gods, can't believe they are the good seats as you say.

Thanks for the video Gillian, just had a scrumptious drool again. Lovely.

Many thanks, Gillian.

I forgot to copy this link this morning. Nothing new but lovely to watch again and nice to see others' appreciation http://eternalrain.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!35F12BAE5C15181A!2227.entry

Auds, the ad said tickets FROM £15 - that's the standard lowest price I think.

That is great news Geri, ohhhhmmmms that she continues to do well.

Evening all

The sky is so dark here just now it's scary. It looks like we're in for a humdinger of a storm.

Eva - have a good day out. Oh, of course, I'm too late aren't I!! Well, hope you had a good day then!

Geri - I was going to say "is there no end to your talents" but it's already been said so I shall just repeat it!!? I'm very impressed.

K2 - that's exactly how I've felt each time I've arrived in London.

In fact last time, when I was there with Ploppy, our hotel window looked out across the city toward the Gherkin and I recalled that GO took DVO there for her birthday. One of the evenings we were there Ploppy was having forty winks before we went out for the evening and I was gazing out of the window looking at the Gherkin and daydreaming, thinking how romantic, what a lovely man the GO is, then I turned to Ploppy who was sprawled across the bed, legs akimbo, mouth open, snoring like a herd(!) of bulls and well, talk about back to reality!!!! Sigh, oh well!

K2 - lots of ohms for PB tomorrow. You know I'll be thinking of you. Please let us know how it goes.

Geri - that's fantastic news. You all must be thrilled.

I wore a new pair of shoes today for the first time and I have discovered that one of them squeaks!! I have been walking round the office all day going - step, squeak, step, squeak, step, squeak!! It was like having some kind of tracking device on me. Everybody in the office knew where I was at all times - very disconcerting!!

Ok, off to unpack the shopping that I've just left piled in a heap on the kitchen floor and maybe grab a drink whilst I'm about it!!

That's great, Geri.

Hope all goes well for PB tomorrow, K2.

Off to eat dinner.

It is great news and we're all going out next week for lunch to celebrate. Apart from Elaine's news, one of our group is having a baby and only a few more working days till she goes on maternity leave. It's her first, so it's very exciting.

Forgot to say thanks, Gillian, for that link. Lovely stuff!

Did someone say the GO was on sale for £15? Sold!

Excellent news Geri! Still Ohhmmms just in case.

Karen - what? Your Ploppy doesn't measure up to the GO?

Jane - define "measure up"!!!!!!!!!!!

JaneE,- still playing the innocent card?
Yes, I'm back, honies, and still alive but barely kicking! It's been a very good and interesting day, but I am knackered. Would you mind if I give you the details tomorrow? Thank you,- that is if you want the details? Just to give you a taster.......met a very charming policeman outside House of Commons. He was Welsh! My friend discovered a possibly aritrocratic connection in Westminster!
Gillian,- thank you. That was a lovely mix.
Geri,- you clever Lepry, you!
I have to consentrate on The Bill. I can't multitask tonight. Too tired.

Karen, I suspect you'd need a long tape measure and basis for comparison. I'm willing to approach the GO on your behalf. Can't have you squeaking in the middle of a song, can we?

Chantale, did you get my e-mail??

Back from Sussex with a bucketload of washing
Geri that is great news about Elaine, and hope all goes well for your work mate, and her baby.
Karen I did chuckle when you described your Ploppy asleep, sounds familar, and by the way, have you heard the theory that if new shoes squeek, it means you haven't paid for them?????????????????????????????
I am going to apply for the give away tickets for 14/9 even though we will be in France, will pass them on to whoever wants them.
I think it was Diana who mentioned the DVO Musical programme, I have a feeling that tickets for the final are up for grabs on either the BBC site or the SRO site, not sure where I saw it but I think it is on a Sunday so Lee could possibly be appearing.
Carol what next invited for drinks??????

Hello all,
Hope you've all had a good day.
Geri what a clever and talented person you are. Great news too.
Eva, pleased you had a good day. I went to HP on a school trip, (just a few years ago).Seem to think we all ptnched sheets of loo roll that had House of Parliament printed on it. Was of the crinkly tracing paper sort!
Gillian, thanks it's lovely.
Karen2 Ooohhhmmmssss for PB and you tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
Are you going to the wedding tomorrow Pauline? If so have a good time and have a glass of bubbly for the LL.
Linx welcome.

Oh geri that is brilliant news hope she carries on doing well. Well done on the beautiful painting too you are a clever loppy.( Watch out |Nicholas someone is after your job!!!!)
Gillian just watched you dvd form ths summer do it is really good. thank you for that.We will need all the clips we can have for after January. and now I have watched Diana's one oh still beautiful.
K2 fingers and everything else crossed for PB tomorrow will be thinking of you.
must go to forum and see if there are any reviews from his return.
Got lovely reviews for our up and coming show in our local gone are the days when we used to do the gruniad etc....we are not alas outrageous for them!!!.
lovely mention of Lee's portrait in it.
see you all later xxxx

well, I've got most of the prize pictures ready to go and have e-mailed a lot of you for your addresses.

I'm hoping to post them Saturday.

And while I've been working hard, Karen has slid into the gutter (again), pulling Geri in with her I notice!

I shall maintain my innocence Eva, because I'm pure and chaste! Honest! No! Stop laughing!

Anyway I have I-word to do Good Night Loppies! Have fun in that gutter!

JaneE,- what is the l-word? I'm trying to think of one connected to your housewifely duties(!). I came up with one, but since you're so innocent and pure it can't be that!
Jill,- if you win a ticket, I'm your new best friend!

Thanks for that link/download Gillian. It's really great to have both songs in the same sequence..
And thanks for that revisit link Diana. When he sings that last verse - I get goosebumps through and through.
Geri that's really great news re Eileen. Let's hope the ooohhhmmmmss continue to work as well for the others. And you bet - if I get a chance to touch the great LCs feet I will..
Have been sat at the computer for the last 2 hours now setting up my new phone.. I can't quite believe I'm using the computer to do this - 18 months ago I wouldn't have had the nerve....
So I've had enough of computers today.. as much as I'd love to join you in the gutter... I'm going to rest now - got an early start ... oooh, I hope I get good tickets.
Nite nite all - sweet meads... (I'm so glad he's back..)

..well to finish off my day with the tubes we had points/signal failure on the way home, so had to rush in get changed and dash out again - am just now cooking dinner! Geri that's great news, so pleased! Gillian haven't had time to peek at your creation but I am sure it will be to your usual brilliant standard! Ah Pauline2 - many is the wedding I have sung at where the suits (and even funnier, top hats) don't fit the wedding party......must be distressing for them though! Looks as if the weather will be quite nice tomorrow so the wedding party should be lucky! KArentwo lots of ooooohhhhhhhhmmmmsss for PB tomorrow. Sure he'll be fine. Karen I have a pair of shoes like that - makes it impossible to sneak up on anyone. Had very nice lunch with the married man. There is a Slug & Lettuce near the office (have it in mind for next London Loppy meet) and because I am on their mailing list we get various offers - today I had one for a PG - rose or white for £9.35 instead of £18. I have to say it was very scrummy! OK better sort out feeding Ploppy - back later!

Evening all.
Geri, love your painting and it’s great to hear the good news about your friend’s mother.
Ooohhhmmms for BP and for anyone else in need
Ha-Ha……Karen you made me laugh (Poor Ploppy) no contest then!
Eva, on the link I just got no video in the box for the tall ships, but clever you with the you tube one
How long are the raffle tickets on sale for the portrait? As I haven’t got mine yet (always last to do things)
Welcome Linx

Chantale, I think Nicholas's job is in no danger -- not from me, anyway. Mind you, if I could find a way to be the new JK Rowling...

Loppies, I just sent out an e-mail regarding the raffle. If you didn't get it, can you let me know & I'll copy you.

Jane, I cannot tell a lie. The gutter required no pulling whatever. I jumped in very happily! Wheeeee!!!!

Oh charming so now, I'm not only a pencil thief, I'm a shoe thief too!! HeHe. Not heard that one before Jill! Is it one of those "old wives tales"? Not that I'm calling you an old wife! Oh crikey, there I go again putting my foot in it. Sorry.

Geri - you are just too kind offering to help me like that but I think I can manage to measure up the GO (oo er!!!) on my own thank you! Although you could hold the, erm, fan, for me!!!!

Well, Karen, some jobs are too BIG for one woman. After all one of us (you) will need to hold the tape measure. Or yardstick. (Help! The Gutter is sucking me under...I'm going down...glug...)

Geri - and just what will you be holding whilst I'm holding the tape measure!!!!!?????

My breath?

Oo, just thought I must have had too much vino - was just reading back my previous post and one of the exclamation marks suddenly started moving up the page!!!! It was a teeny tiny fly!! Well, that's my story anyway!

I go away for a very short time and there's Karen and Geri in the gutter again. Not making any comment about tape measures at all, not one.

Yes Kathleen I am off to this posh wedding tomorrow. I am hoping for good weather as I have a fascinator I am wearing that I don't think will be improved by the rain! Apart from a quick blog in the morning I will be away a while as am staying the night at a friends'.

Geri - waiting for what? The tape measure to stop!!!!!!!!

Btw, a friend of mine once asked me how long a yardstick is!!! Yes she was blonde (sorry Carol!).

Karen, I hope you answered in centimeters!

...we just have enquiring minds Karen - so how long is a yardstick? Sorry don't do metric! Actually don't really do numbers - apart from musical ones!! People across the road having a party - lots of noise, so may have to sleep with the window closed - still quite muggy in this neck of te woods! In fact perfect loin cloth weather!!

Carol, I'm now going to have to go to bed with the thoughts of you in a loincloth. Thanks for that. I may never sleep again...

Carys, your e-mail isn't working.

Geri all I can say is, not a pretty sight!

Oh Karen, was downstairs drinking a V and O and thought ops perhaps that post made it sound like you where indeed a "shoe thief" apologies, but I think it is an old wives tale from way back in the 60s, I think I had better go to bed before I land myself in more trouble.

Dear, dear, dear.....I see the gutter is busy tonight. If two people can make a crowd, it's Karen and Geri!
Karen,- we know you put your foot in it again. We could all hear your creaking shoe!
Karen2,- good luck to PB tomorrow, and to his Mum too!
Pauline2,- knock 'em dead with your fascinator! They'll forget all about ill fitting suits!
I really need to have an early night, but will be back stronger and louder tomorrow morning. Can't promise to beat JaneE to it again, though.
So good night all, sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.

Oh Carol in a loin cloth? Not sure about that at all, no offence Carol as I would look..... well we'll never know as it is not going to happen. Think I'll go and have a look at someone who can carry the look off with ease.

Jill, my Granny always used to say that if your shoes squeaked they weren't paid for.
Geri, I haven't had an email from you.
Better go to bed, can't get my fingers to press the right keys, and I haven't had any incohol either.

...ok it wasn't meant to be me in the loin cloth but the GO in his tighty whities! I am now going to bed to dream (hopefully) of that! Sweet Meads all!

Scott, I hope you understand my reasons for posting this here. If its a problem for you please remove my post.

Sorry to pull you out of the gutter girls, you can go back soon and I may join you but some serious stuff to share.

Here’s the thing……..Most of you are aware that I have received unpleasant, anonymous mail, several times in the last 2 months; each referring to my actions in confirming an event I witnessed to the LMAS Moderators.

After taking sound advice earlier this week I have made it a formal police matter. I cannot disclose any details but suffice to say, the police are now in possession of letters, pictures and e-mails which will undergo forensic examination before determining further action.

I am advised by the police to 'go public' to a certain degree, hence this message. I want to stress this was not a decision taken lightly.

The LMAS Moderators are aware of these developments and have posted a message of support on the Forum.

Loppyism will not be curtailed!

Well, this evening I've spent an hour with Ramps!! Alright he was on the radio and I was putting away the shopping and stopping cat fights. He was talking about cricket, funnily enough he didn't mention sofa, balloons or pencils once.

Gillian, love the video. (Can see Saggy taking his photo, wearing the shirt he says is like GO's.) You are so clever putting them all together with the sound and all.

Carol, you and Roro just happened to be passing by at the right time, funny that.

Diana-thanks for the link to Roro's pics. Good to see Howard is well.

Geri-Good stats link, strange the March thing, it can't be the homeless thing, as itjust goes down. Like to know what it was.

Ooohhhhmmmmssss for PB.

Martin, I know what you mean. I'm a touch concerned for Dublin too. I just keep thinking they are used to lots of hen and stag parties, it's just this one is going to have lots of women of 27, mostly with one thing on their mind. Really scary.

I haven't seen my email tonight better have a look.

Watch out Cambridge, I'm on my way there tomorrow, well just a bit to the south. Not for fun, for work. Nevermind, it's an outing. I'm being a very well paid taxi driver for the day!!

Jill - no apology necessary, other than for the fact that you didn't share your V&O with me!!!!

Eva - you'll be back stronger and louder!!!!??? Gulp!

Hi, is everyone gone?

Was busily sorting some Dublinfest venues when my Sis called in for a chat that went on for rather a long time, she and her new hubby spent last weekend in Paris to celebrate their 1st anniversary so I had to hear all about it.

Btw - we've decided that we're now calling Geri the Dublinfest Artistic Director and I'm going to be Activities & Scheduling Director - we do like our titles!!

I see you've been gutter diving most of the evening and now Carol's in a loincloth? ok, Carol, we do love and adore you but no, you can't possibly carry off that look as well as the GO so please give him back his garment so that he can cover up, particularly with Geri and Karen around. Anyway, if there's info of that nature you want to know, why didn't you just ask........I could have told you!

Don't worry, Carol. If I was clad in a loincloth I'd probably resemble the Buddha...

Kathleen, my e-mail to you bounced back. Would someone please forward it on? Thanks.

Goodnight all. Sweet Meads, be safe, well, and happy. Still ohhmming for all those who need them. You know who you are.

SueX - stay strong, will leave you with this thought, one stick is easily broken but a bundle of sticks bound tightly together are much harder to break - we'll be your sticks!

Loppy love to everyone
xx

Morning, morning - yes I am on early shift this morning. Bucks Fizz on offer this morning in celebration of the good news from Ireland and also to toast our heroine SueX. Sue I will only iterate what has already been said. OK on with the breakfasts - well little cuddle with the BHB first of course whilst no-one is looking! Into the kitchen quick! Thought today we would make savoury (mushroom and bacon) and sweet (fruit pancakes) as the special. Usual fare on the menu other than that, and the Bucks Fizz of course! Plenty of coffee just in case (you know what Aunty Eva is like with a drop of incohol in her!). Morning looks brightish at the moment, so hopefully will be fine for Pauline2's post wedding - would hate the idea that the fascinator was rained on! Have a lovely day everyone!

Oy, Carol, you've been in this kitchen at least fifteen minutes and you don't even have a kettle on...at least get a loincloth on you, woman! And unhand that boy -- he and I have special 'fest plans to discuss. But the Bucks Fizz will be very welcome, thank you.

Ohhmmms for Brian today, Karen. We'll be thinking of him, poor lad. And Pauline, hope your wedding goes well. Suex, you remain in our thoughts and prayers; I know it's stating the obvious but only a coward hides behind anonymity. Right, happy 08/08/08 everyone!

Morning all!

Excuse me Carol, Geri - I think you'll find it's my turn for a cuddle now! Aw thank you BHB!

Ooo Bucks Fizz lovely! A toast to Suex and to the Dublops, for all there organisational skills!

Pauline enjoy the wedding - Ohmmms for the weather!

Ohmmmms for PB as well Karen2

OOOh! Bucks Fizz to start the day, wonderful. I'll take one, thanks. Yes, Yes, I know I'm not usually seen here at this time of mornin' (where have I heard that before?) but as its 08/08/08 and we are 08 Capital of Culture, got a special breakfast meeting to attend. Posh frock - check, make up - check, killer heels - no way! I'm half asleep but not that daft!
Sending Ohhhhmmms for Brian's op and nice weather for the wedding Pauline.

cheers everyone!

Morning. TGIF!!!

There's a trailer for a new project involving the Baker & the Butler on the Joseph site http://www.josephthemusical.com/

Thanks for the different type of morning toast! Best not drink any more although I'm not wearing killer heels but they are still 3" and a bit higher than my normal work attire.
I agree entirely Geri, I do pity the perpetrator, must be a very sad and mixed up person.

TGIF Diana??? whoosh....over my head!

Morning. Quick catch up - so if I have missed anyone out apologies. And havent caught up on emails yet.

Linx- good to see you. thought of you when we had our ice creams in princes St gardens week before last.

SueX - as others have said more eloquently - we are all thinking of you. Keep strong.

Geri -great news about your friend.

Dublops - - party planners extraordinaire:)

Karen2 - ohmmmms for PB today

A dull and cool morning - nooooo. Came back from hol to find we are having a street safari party tonight and guess who was nominated to do main course. I am -well ploppy is:)- doing BBQ. we have to eat outside, whatever the weather, as I havent had time to clean the house.

Morning all. Well, I'm nothing if not inconsistent! First one here yesterday, and today half the Stageloppies have been here to sign on already before I could drag myself out of bed. I never knew a 27 year old could feel this tired after a day in the capital. I have slep for almost 9 hours ! ! ! ! ! , and that is unheard of!.
Hello sweetheart. I know, I know, you are right to tell me off. If I can have a very strong leaded without any funny stuff in it, maybe I'll wake up properly.
Jo4,- of course Ramps wouldn't say anything about our parties on the radio. He is a gent!
Karen2,- I'm sure PB will be brave today. He is the only scollop to have faced a giggle of Loppies, and if he can do that, he can do anything!
Suex,- we're right behind you, dear lady, as you know.

SueX, I can only echo what everyone else has said, lots of love and support from me too. I had no idea that this was still going on. We are all right behind you.

...hm just failed to post as it said my text was wrong! Just wanted to say oooooohhhhhhhhmmmms for PB, and for SueX and for anyone else in need! Ohhmmms for the weather and Pauline's fascinator too - it's looking cloudy here! Off to see Blood Brothers this evening with that married man. Do you think he is after something? You will all be relieved to know that I have handed the loincloth back to the rightful owner and am now attired in something more suitable!
TGIF is Thank God It's Friday - the well known cry of all workers!

Morning all. Thanks for the good wishes for the wedding, we are off to a great start as it is raining here! Now looking at umbrellas, sigh. Still the forecast isn't too bad so here's hoping!

Lots of ohhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmms for PB today Karen2 I hope he is ok and you are too!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmms and celebrations for Geris friend, have a great party. With that to celebrate I'm sure you will

Ohhhhhhhhhmmmmmmms for Suex just so you know we are still here.

Ohhhhhmmmmms for Fi's BBQ hope the weather stays dry for you as well.

Carol that married man is lovely so I shouldn't worry if he wants something, just enjoy. Have a good time at Blood Brothers.

Morning BHB, no I haven't got long this morning but always time for a quick cuddle in a blanket with you, lovely. Now I won't be here in the morning, so don't be upset will you? I'll make it up to you I promise.

Right better get tittivating!

Breakfast calling soPauline hope you have a lovely wedding, it is raining here but I think it will stop soon, sure you will look lovely whatever.

Hello all. As predicted I'm having the week from hell w**k wise but I suppose it's what I'm paid for. I haven't even had a chance to lurk because our internet went down until Wednesday. Our IT man reckoned mice had chewed the cables. I've no idea whats been going on here in the last week but hoefully I haven't missed too much?

Suex I didn't realise you were still getting grief. Chin up, you've done the right thing and we are all behind you.

I have managed to book a ticket for January. It's up in the Gods but that was all I could get and at least I'll be there.

I have some interesting gossip. I think I have mentioned before that my mum sometimes works with a man whose grandaughter is in the children's choir. Whenever he sees my mum he lets her know anything I may be interested in Lee related but I usually already know it! Yesterday the gem of information was that he had been on holiday and one of the brothers was playing Joseph but he then told her that Lee had been rehearsing Phantom whilst he was off. I suspect it was auditioning for it rather than rehearsing and my mum just got the word wrong (she does that all the time.) It is only gossip and may not be true at all but intersting I thought. I really hope it's true and he does another musical rather than go down the TV route.

EEK I've just read that back and see lots of typos. Sorry my brains well and truely frazzled.

Oh Alison that IS interesting - wonder if it is Phantom as we know it or the new one being penned by ALW.....wait with baited breath!

Sue sorry missed your post, but I can only reiterate what the others have said, gosh there are some sick and sad people in this world.
Karen2 hope Brian is "a brave little soldier" give him a hug form all his Aunty Loppies.
Carol enjoy BB are you going to Windsor to see it or the WE?

Ok am ready and , for the only time today looking ok! It is still raining here and my hair hates drizzly rain, arghhhhh!
Never mind will just have to drink lots so I can forget it.

Squeeeeeeeeeaaaaaal as JaneE would say oh I do hope it is P2, but anything on stage would be great!

Have a good day all hope all is well when I get back sometime tomorrow, with drooping fascinator!

..going to the WE -Phoenix Theatre - have been advised to take tissues! A year tomorrow was my first sighting of Jo!!! Pauline2 - do hope the weather improves for you!

OK – this is very spooky – the lady at work who resembles Carol, not only possesses a red fan and is seriously into Richard III – she also is partial to red wine, enjoys musical theatre big style, and is a leading light in her local am-dram society. There’s only one difference – I asked if she likes Lee Mead; she laughed and said ‘no’.

Definitely not the original Loppy in disguise!

Suex I had to look at Diana's post for ages before I figured out what TGIF meant - perhaps because I normally say TGI Friday. I'm slow today!

Alison - that in a very interesting peice of gossip! Thank you! I hope it's right!

Still ohmmming for the weather, for both Fi and Pauline now -and for PB too.

Carol enjoy BB with your married man!

Thanks for that gossip, Alison. Interesting!! It's possible it could be for Act 2 of Phantom 2 at Sydmonton. If you remember the first act was performed a few weeks ago with some of the IDA contestants and I read somewhere recently that Act 2 was going to be performed there in the near future.

Morning all, just!
V. interesting news Alison.

I also now have a little furry visitor Jo4, I have her for two weeks, it's a hamster called Caramel which I'm looking after while her owner aged 11 is on holiday, hope to goodness nothing happens to it during it's visit!

Afternoon, would have been here earlier but lots of emails to catch up on first.
Sending lots of love to you Suex, and echo everyone elses sentiments.
Had a family night at home watching a dvd last night, a rare occurence these days so I valiently ignored the call of the blog. We had another spectacular lightning show before going to bed then I thought I heard squeaking. I looked over the bannisters and saw something scurry across the hall floor followed by one of the cats, so of course I made ploppy go down. Unfortunately, Willow was out of the cat flap with it in her mouth before he could save it. It appears we have a serial killer in our midst as he found the remains of another mouse the previous morning! The "joy" of owning cats I guess?

Alison - thanks for the interesting gossip, I reckon it is possible Lee was rehearsing Phantom as he is performing at the ALW concert and said he may be doing a duet so could be 'All I Ask of You' with a lucky lucky lady (maybe one of the Nancy's?) Just an idea! I can only echo Carols words - TGIF!! This time next week I will be beyond excited about the Lee fest to come!

Back home after a rather frantic and worrying morning. Today as I was getting ready to go up to Syd to get my shoppinglist, he phoned me. He said he was feeling unwell and could I come at once. I drove up as fast as I could, and found the dear man clutching his chest. looking grey and very disteressed. To make a long story short; I called an ambulance which was there within a few minutes and we were taken straight to hospital. He was seen to at once, but his heart was fine, his blood pressure very high, so we waited for quite a long time while other tests were carried out. The doctor concluded that it was probably a panic attack, not helped by the heightened blood pressure. He was stabilised, and the ambulance took us back to his house. The panic attack was probably set off by the fact that one of his friends died of a heart attack a few days ago.
I settled him in bed, went shopping and just got back home. The district nurse will go in during the evening to check on him and the blood pressure. He's got the phone next to his bed, and I spoke to the warden. She promised to look in on him throughout the day.
Phew! I feel a bit shattered now myself, and think I need a little lay down after I've eaten lunch.
I haven't had time to read through the blog since this morning, but will catch up with you all later.

Oh Eva. oohhmms for Syd, and also for you, how frightening for both of you. Try and relax this afternoon, easier said than done I know, but Syd has people looking in on him so you look after yourself.

Hi there... see I missed the buxfizz this a.m. but nevermind, I had some champers at lunch time today.. one of our team had a birthday this week.. there'll be more boozing and lunching next week.. our senior boss going back to the US so we'll be mourning her imminent departure - any excuse.
Hope Pauline doesn't get too 'rained on' today. This weather is very weird today. And to top it all the aircon in this office is off kilter again, so I've had to borrow a sweater to wear as I sit at my desk!!!!
Oooommms for PB today - hope the op is a success.
And OOOOMMMMMMMSSSSS for Syd. That must have been quite a traumatic experience, for both of you, Eva. Hope you both rest up well this afternoon.
Alison, there's you and me, and I think Fi if I remember rightly, sitting up in the Gods on the 10th.. Gotta be there come may or wherever.
This time last year, I'd seen the show only twice... and was gearing up for the third.
DubLops - thanks for absolsutely everything you're doing to ensure the DubFest is a roaring success. Do we need to bring our pencils and balloons with us?
Geri, I didn't get the email about the raffel - at least if I did I can't find it now. Can you please resend.
Good bit of Gossip Alison. I thought exactly the same as Diana, that it could be for Act2 of P2. Oh, the thought of him singing that song again.... melt melt melt.

Ohmmms for Syd, Eva. He's lucky to have you around.

So it's Friday - that means pub night! To be followed by a curry, of course!

Have a nice eveing Loppies!

Hi Loppies
Watching the Olympic opening. See Princess Anne could be a Loppy as she has a fan, but it's not red. Seen Lesotho athletes wearing Paulines blankets, with animal stripes.

Suex - so sorry you are still being bothered. We are all supporting you.

Ooooohhhhhmmmmsssss for Syd and Eva. Panic attacks are awful and you can feel like you're dying, poor Syd. Have a good rest this afternoon Eva to get over the shock.

Hope PB is over the worst now. Ooooohhhhmmmmmssss for a sppedy recovery.

Geri, I haven't had your email yet.

Carol Hope you and that married man enjoy BB. It's coming to Windsor. Had heard that it's a bit of a sad storyline.

Evening, er Morning, er I mean Afternoon all - I'm confused, I'm not usually here at this time of day!! As well as TGIF it's also POETS day (Pi** Off Early Tomorrow's Saturday)- so I did!! Have done some shopping and now I have a bottle of PG chilling in the fridge. Ah, what a way to start the weekend.

Eva - goodness me, poor Syd, and you. It must have been awful. Glad he's okay though. Lots of ohms for him and for you too.

Ohm's too for PB. Texted K2 earlier and he was in surgery this morning so should be home by now. Having lots of TLC from his lovely Mum.

Hope Pauline's having a good day - we have sun here at the moment - along with rain, wind, and thick cloud!!! Typical British summer!

Alison - oo, thank you for that information. I agree with you that I'd rather he do another musical so that we can go see him in the flesh (preferably with lots of it on show!!)(oo er, where's my fan!!). Of course, on the plus side if it is TV/Film at least we can record it and watch him as many times as we like, and our bank balances would all be a lot healthier. I'd still prefer to see him "for real" though!!

Auds - your comment that you'd only see the show twice this last time last year reminds me of something Jane and I still laugh about - I was always saying that my first visit to the show in October last year would be my one and only visit. Hahahahahahahaha. Little did I know!!!!!!! Visit number four coming up in just over a couple of weeks!!

I think we are all going to be bereft for a while next January!!!

I remember when Take That (or maybe Boyzone, one of those "boy bands") announced that they were splitting up I heard that their fan clubs had set up counselling phone lines for distraught fans. I thought then, how ridiculous, but put it down to the fact that they would all be young girls who get emotional about these kind if things!! Now, I understand completely and can see it being needed for lots of more mature (27) year old ladies!!

Carol, you and the married man.. this is getting serious isn't it? Pauline's right of course, he is quite lovely - no wonder he's married.
Fi -meant to say, if you have any resilient Zimbabweans in your neighbourhood - a BBQ in the rain is no problem. Hope you all don't get soaked.
Maeve, a word of warning re Caramel. Don't put him/her in your pocket a go for a walk in the garden. I did that once, and Hammy got lost in the Agapanthas, never to be seen again. Poor thing, for all I know he could still be there - or at least his little lost soul is. But I hope he's happy.
And talking of happy - managed to get fairly close seats to see Lenny.. Sods Law, getting to work early plan thwarted by public transport delays! so only got onto the site at 9.15am - but I still didn't have to loose an arm and/or a leg for a good seat.

Oh Aunty Eva, how awful for you and Syd. At least though you have had him checked over and know he is ok. Must have been bery scary though! Lots of ooohhhhhmmmmmms for him (and for PB who hopefully is ok). I am thinking of making a medal for Ploppy for the Dublinfest - what do you think - based on the red fan perhaps?? Hasn't rained here yet, but lots of grey clouds, fingers crossed Pauline2's fascinator didn't wilt if she had rain. Shame the Oympians borrowed her blanket, she might have needed it today! Kathleen - I tried to see BB at Windsor last year...it seems to come round on an annual basis. It's a standing joke as my small singing group perform "Tell Me It's Not True" and whenever I introduce it I ask who in the audience have seen the show - lots have, then I ask who hasn't and put my hand up - have finally shamed Ploppy into booking! Been hectic today getting Baby Boss off on holiday for two weeks, but phew - he's gone through the door (then rang and asked me to take his laptop charger down to him as he had forgotten it). Have a lovely evening everyone - not sure what time I will be back, but I'll try and say goodnight.

Hi again. Had a good snooze and spoke to the warden at Syd's place. She'd looked in on him about an hour ago and he was asleep. I won't ring him up yet,- won't risk disturbing him.
Thank you for your good wishes. I'll tell him about it. He'll be tickled pink. He thinks we are a lovely bunch of girls(!).
Carol,- I think your Ploppy deserves a medal given to him at the Dublinfest. He should have it for exceptional bravery when faced with a Giggle of Loppies!

I just spoke to my mother on the phone. She told me that when the Tall Ships leave Bergen, they will sail past my sister's house. Do you remember I sent a photo of the view from my sister's garden when I was in Norway in May? Well, the whole armada will be sailing past them going to Holland, and my parents have booked seats in Row A in the garden!
After all the drama today, yesterday's outing to London seems far away already. It was a lovely day, however, very interesting. First we went to Westminster, where we had a tour of the two Houses. Our guide was an elderly lady, obviously someone who had worked there for many years. She knew the place and it's traditions in and out, and clearly both loved it and was proud of it.
On our way out, we passed through the bookshop, and around the room here were statues of some of the House's past, great orators. My friend suddenly stopped and pointed at one of them. His surname was the same as hers.(I won't mention the name here, if you don't mind) It is a fairly unusual name, and she said she'd never known any of her husband's ancestors had been a nobleman. He was a Baron! We asked in the bookshop if they had any more information about him, but they said no. Then a lovely lady said she'd ring up Archives and check with them. They called back after a little while and said "Yes" they'd found a fair bit about him. They would print it out and bring it down. 10 minutes later my friend was handed several printed pages about this possible ancestor. They didn't want any payment,- it was a pleasure to be of service! How lovely was that! My friend e-mailed me today and said her husband was so chuffed and would start looking into it. He'd call me if I have to start calling him "Sir"!
Outside we stopped and asked one of the policemen there for directions to the Cabinet War Rooms.(see, we are women and not ashamed to ask directions. Besides, it's an excuse to chat to a nice policeman!) He was very chatty, and my friend told him I was a retired DI from Norway. He was so delighted, and we had a lovely talk. He was from Wales, with that lovely, lilting accent and shares a surname with a couple of our Stageloppies! I had my photo taken with him, of course.
The Cabinet War Rooms were also well worth a visit. I'm glad I never had to work down there. It must have been unbearably hot and cramped, and just imagine all the people smoking like chimneys in those days! You wouldn't want to be down there with claustrophobia!

Carol BB was on at Windsor a couple of weeks ago, my friend went to see it there, hope you enjoy the show
Eva your day out sounds great, isn't it great when people go out of there way to help you, I am getting so fed up with firms"not getting it right" we applied for Ploppys Sloppy's (karen try saying that after your bottle of PG)ISA to be transferred from one organisation to another 12 weeks later we are still waiting, but it sounds as though you had a very interesting day, lucky old Syd to have such a good friend like yourself.
Have been watching the opening ceremony in Bejing, quite spectacular, managed to see Rafa Roger and Andy as well.

Sounds like it's been a busy day in loppyland. Some of us have had to work for a living (it helps with this eating habit I've developed), then since I got home I've been working on the Dublinfest and making myself really hungry reading restaurant menus.

Carol, maybe you should record that old tune, 'They Call it Ploppy Love' for your OH? Though the medal sounds like a nice idea too. BTW if any of the ploppies are into golf or cricket I can probably find someone to entertain them for an afternoon. Assuming, that is, they wouldn't rather sit with us and talk Lee all day...

Alison, if the original statement was correct: Lee was rehearsing Phantom, isn't it possible he's preparing to do All I Ask for the b-day bash? After all, ALW did say his singing it with Connie was 'Food for thought'...

Auds in Lenny-land. Me, jealous? You bet!

Pauline, hope that wedding went well.

Karen, Jane: TWO AND A HALF WEEKS: SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Ohmmms for Sid, PB, Suex and anyone else who may need them.

Evening All
Internet connection is very very very slow so apologies, have just skimmed over today, will go back after I post and read up properly but Eva, so sorry to hear about your morning. Poor Syd and poor you, you must have got an awful fright, it does sound like it could be connected to his friend having passed away.He must be feeling so vulnerable right now.

Got home from hosp fine and PB is doing ok. Still not sore but I do expect the pain relief they gave him to wear off sometime soon. For the moment however, the playstation and texting his friends are keeping him occupied.

Have received emails, and where this blog is slow, omg replying to the emails is positively snail like! Just tried to type a reply to Geri and had to tell her I'll call her, it takes about 3 minutes for a sentence to appear on the screen after I type it. It's just too frustrating for long/complicated messages. So basically, sorry to those who've emailed and are waiting for replies - I'll get there!

Ok, back later

Sorry to hear about Syd, Eva, but glad it turned out not as serious. What a fright though.

And glad to hear PB is home. Hope he's not in too much pain when the medicine wears off.

I was planning on leaving the office at 4.00 today but I had to wait for some info so it was 5.30 before I left. Too tired now to do what I'd planned this evening.

A while back RUG asked for questions to put to David Grindrod, the casting guy from HDYSAPLM, ADWD & IDA. The filmed Q&A is now on the RUG site. Lee's name comes up a couple of times http://www.reallyuseful.com/rug/news/newsDetail.htm?id=592

Wonder if we'll ever get the responses to questions put to John Alistair.

K2 - glad PB's home and not in too much pain. Big hug to both of you.

Diana - thanks for that link.

Geri - Sqqquuuuuueeeeeaaaalllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Christina on the forum - Hairspray the School Musical site http://schoolmusical.sky.com/index.html
I've only looked at a couple of pages so far - check out the Celeb Masterclass page. And for those who can't get Sky like me, it looks like we'll be able to watch on Sky Player. Not the same as watching on the TV but much better than nothing.

Diana,- thanks for the links.
I have just had a new Google alert for LM, and found two of the ladies here quoted. It is JaneE and Auds. It's happened to me a few times too. If you don't want to be there, just be careful not to write his whole name out. No, I don't mean Weepy! but GO!

Oo Diana, thanks for that - "only the best in the business"!! Well, they sure know class and talent when they see it, don't they!!

Anyone seen this? It's so clever and funny!
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nupdcGwIG-g

Eva - I have seen that before - it is, as you say, very clever and very well done. Should I ask what on earth you were looking for to come across that!!??

Karen,- better not ask!

Eva, that's sooooo funny. I'd heard about the vid but not watched it before. Nearly spat my tea all over my keyboard!

I can't open the High School Musical link. Stupid thing thinks I'm in a foreign country. Mutter-mutter-mutter...

On the plus side, I just got around to opening The Stage, which I brought home this afternoon. Oh. My. God. Scott, you've gotten into the centrefold business and may I say, thank you! Sorry, loppies, not being unfaithful to the Lovely Lee, but this is a 2-page picture of DT in full Hamlet mode complete with skull. Haven't even gotten to the review yet, mostly because I can't bring myself to turn the page. Wow.

Hello, better late than never yet again.

Thanks for the video Gillian, isn't he lovely?

Geri, excellent news about Elaine's Mum. Btw I didn't get the email, for some reason I often miss out on yours.

Karen, that's what's so good about Ploppys, (most of 'em anyway,) they are reality. The other is just a beautiful dream!!!!

Diana, loved the link.

Jane, how spooky is your Carol lookalike?

Eva, ohhhmmms for you and for Sid, how upseting for you both, so glad all turned out ok. I would love to be in Row A with your Mum and Dad. Can't watch the Blair/Bush video till tomorrow, at my old lady's and have the sound turned off, I get the impression it needs to be turned on.

Carol, your Ploppy definitely deserves a medal.

SueX, lots of Loppy love xx

Nite nite Loppies x

Hi Again

Have lurked in and out all evening but only inbetween trips up and down the stairs, I think the repeated trekking up and down for the next day or two should be great exercise for me!! How long are you supposed to serve meals in the bedroom for?

A bit too tired to post much, especially as this is so slow tonight.

Spoke to Geri earlier, yes, Dublinfest stuff! however she made me laugh with her reason to have to end the call in a hurry, won't embarrass her by telling it, I'll leave you to guess.

Absolutely nothing decent on TV but I don't feel like bedtime yet, need to sit and relax for a while, I think I feel a dose of The Winners Story coming on.
night night all

Karen2, nearly forgot to say glad PB's ok, I remember only too well how incapacitated (sp) I was with my feet.

I've been watching Poirot on ITV, and I think I'll watch the rest in bed. I have seen it before, but it's so good, it's worth watching again.
Karen2,- I wouldn't dare trying to guess what's going on in Geri's mind!
Good night all, sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.

Sue, can you e-mail me? I think my system mustn't be talking to yours (it's quite snooty, you know!) and there are several e-mail accounts it just ignores.

Karen2 kept me on the phone for a solid hour (not exactly ending the call in a hurry, then!) and I'd just had two cups of tea...

Going back to gaze at DT again. This one may have to go on the wall.

K2 - did Geri have an urgent appointment with a centrefold by any chance!!!??

evening all. just a quick hello and ninite tonight. first glad PB is doing well. and OOhhmmmmmssss for Syd poor man what a fright.
Hope your wedding went a treat today Pauline. Lots of interseting gossip here today. must go to bed.
ninite dear loppies sweet meads.
Will be retaking the photo again in the next few days when we are at the show . At this rate all the photos on comp will be of the painting!!! Will get it right in the end.
xxxxx

Oh Eva, lots of ooohhhmmsss for Syd. Do hope hefeels fighting fit again soon.

I have been lurking this evening, just been working in RFFD. Just taking too long to get one ready for the post tomorrow, don't want to mess it up. Also didn't want to rush mine.

Dog is very fidgety tonight, she has been dosed for fleas, but she won't stay still for me to check. Vet says the fleas are bad in our area at the moment. House has been sprayed too.

Karen2, it's good exercise walking up and down stairs!! I hope PB is not in too much pain.

Eva, sorry to hear about the fright you had this morning with Syd and very glad that he's safely home again.
Thanks for the B&B vid. so funny!

K2 I'm sure you must be sooo pleased that PB's appetite hasn't been affected by his ordeal!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've not posted for a few days, thanks for the lovely welcome.
SueX, you know me, spent a couple of hours at the gym on Thursday night....yes BHB they know all about 'body for life', no they don't know that you go to my gym - that's our little secret X
Out again tonight to celebrate daughter and son passing their exams, went to see Batman (recommend) and then on for a lovely meal yum yum!

Fi, hope you enjoyed Edinburgh, I'm guessing you got some sunshine if you had an ice cream in the gardens!

SueX, the giggle sisters can not be beaten, stay strong sis XXX

Ohmmms to all in need.

Yes BHB, of course we can go back to the gym - he's insatiable (lucky me)!

Love LinX

Auds, what were you doing with a hamster in your pocket?

Nightlee night

MOrning BHB, morning everyone - oh good some champers left from yesterday so I think we'll do the Bucks Fizz again - just time for a quick one before I rush out to take Sloppy to Heathrow for the coach down to my sister, so be back with review of BB later! OK for the early risers we hve poached eggs with grilled tomato on toasted soda bread, srambled eggs on bagels (these seem popular for some reason!) with either smoked salmon or grilled bacon, omelettes a la mode, and pancakes (as well as fruit infusion, cereals etc.). BHB working hard in the kitchen, bless, so I'll see you a little later! Byeeee!

Morning all. A fresh, bright morning here. The sun is shining, a light breeze, perfect drying weather. (For the w*****g, not me. I don't need drying out!) Mrs. Bosch is busy in the garage and I'll set Mr. Bosch working after breakfast. I certainly don't agree with those saying you can't get the staff these days! My staff are worth their weight in gold! They don't even talk back at me!
Hello sweetheart. So that's why you look so knackered some mornings. Been up to no good with Linx! (I call going to the gym "up to no good!") All the travelling you must be doing, going far up North. Oh, DT is letting you use the Tardis, is he? How I know? How many times do I have to tell you? I have the second sight and can read inside brackets, inside x's too.
I see Carol has been already. I think I'll try a poached egg on toasted soda bread with grilled tomatoes this morning. I know, feeling quite adventurous (sp?) today. I'll stay with the usual leaded. No, thank you,- no Bucks Fizz for me. You know what I'm like with incohol in the mornings! Singing my head off and scaring the seagulls off theroof. Mind you, that wouldn't be a bad thing. They would stop leaving their dropping all over Goldie then. I tell you, she hates it when they do that. You can hear her screeching the place down when one of their "gifts" lands on her roof.
I'm going to pop in and see Syd later in the morning. He called last night when the district nurse had been, and his blood pressure was down. He felt fine, he said, but I'll check on him anyway.

Hi, Carol! Bye, Carol! Happy Birthday, Carol! All together now: For she's a jolly good loppy, for she's a jolly good loppy, for she's a jolly good loppy!!!! And so say all of us!!! Have a fabulous day!

Thanks for dropping in, Lynx -- we wouldn't want to think we scared you off! You wouldn't believe how many people wander in, say hello -- and are greeted very nicely -- then vanish without a trace.

Glad Sid is feeling better.

Thanks for all the links. I've done my loppy duty and voted.

Auds? Hamster?

Karen: how did you know..?

Morning All
Woke up at 7.10am to torrential rain hammering on my window and wild winds as well. Thought I might as well be up as I have to get back into routine for return to w**k on Monday. Glad I got lots of stuff dry on the line yesterday, now I can spend today i*****g - goodie!!

Pleased to say the patient had a good night, they must have given extra anaesthetic to the foot because by 11pm when I insisted he turn off everything and go to sleep he was still feeling nothing, gave him painkillers anyway to get through the night and he's still sleeping soundly.

Eva - the view of the Tall Ships should be beautiful, how lucky to have such a wonderful viewing spot!
Also your day in London sounds very interesting, hope you've recovered from your ordeal yesterday, glad that Syd seems to be ok.

Alison - that is interesting gossip, like the others, I wonder if it's related to the concert or something even more significant?

Hi LinX - good to see you again!

Now, poached eggs sound good, will have some of that and then get the I.board set up - oh what an exciting life I lead!

Oh - didn't realise it was your birthday Carol (I've probably missed her but she said she'd be back later)

Breithla Shona Duit! Will definitely join you in that Bucks fizz, enjoy your day! xx.

Carol,- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUU
GRATULERER MED DAGEN, KJÆRE CAROL ! ! ! ! ! As a special birthday present, I will NOT sing!

Phew! Back from safely delivering Sloppy to coach, so thank you for the birthday wishes. My card arrived a wee while ago and has been hidden from me ever since, so today it was the first one I opened and there it was "To Carol Happy Birthday! Lee Mead x" - thank you soooooo much for organising Aunty Eva. By the way do look for me please and see if the Sedov is still sailing with the Tall Ships! Well BB was excellent last night - Mrs Johnstone was played by Vivienne Caryle who was the Narrator when I saw the touring Jo with Craig (she left mid run and was replaced by KMcT) - you may remember I rated her very highly! She was superb! Staging was very very good and couldn't fault any of the company - all 14 of them brilliant. Have to say I did cry at the end! Would now like to see the touring version for comparison! OK off out now, but will catch up later! Karentwo glad PB now home safely! Be good everyone!

...forgot to say there are three versions of BB on CD - original 1988 London cast, the 1995 London Cast and an International Cast - so why can't they do the same with Jo????

Morning all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL!! Have a wonderful day.

BHB, did you give Carol another special wave as it's her birthday. What's that? Oh, you gave her a cuddle and a kiss too!? Did she enjoy it!!?? You think she did - mm, I think you can be pretty sure of that!

K2 - good to hear the patient had a good night.

Eva - glad Syd is feeling better. I'm sure he'll be even more so when you pay him a visit.

Morning everyone and happy birthday Carol. Enjoy your day.

The forecast isn't at all good but at the moment it's very sunny - dare I put the washing out?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUOOOOOO
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUOOOOOO
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CAROL
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUOOOOOOOOOO
Hope you have a lovely day today.
Morning all - At least I was up early enough to catch today's sunshine.. have been preparing to receive my new, well 2nd hand, fridge freezer and ditch the old kaput one.
Well done Linx for making it back... it just takes practice, and it's good to see you here.
Jo - I was taking Hammy for a walk, what else? I loved him so much and thought he'd enjoy the early morning walk with me..! Impractical child? Me?
Well after all that moving and shifting, I'm ready for my toast and poached eggs and a large mug of coffee.. Oooh thanks BHB. You don't think a beautiful 27 year old should move things around on her own? You'll come and help? Oh thanks you that's wonderful. Wouldn't want you to dirty you lovely white shirt though, so you'd better take that off... Oh I see, white trousers too. Hmmmmmmm

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL
Have a super day, and glad you enjoyed BB.
Hope the patient is Ok today Karen2, and Syd is Ok when you see him today Eva.
Talking of the breakfast menu, I have a weird hate, I can't bear tomatoes and eggs on the same plate, but as I hungry will go for scrambled eggs, lovely, oh and champagne as well as it is Carols birthday????????

Morning all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL!!! For she's a jolly good loppy!

Auds glad you enjoyed seeing Lenny and Eva glad you enjoyed your day out - isn't it great to find people so helpful! Thanks for the warning re- google alerts.

Hello again Linx - please to see we haven't scared you away!

Karen2 - it's good to hear PB is OK. I bet you're waiting on him hand and (forgive the pun) foot.

Diana & Jo4 thanks for the links.

Now what else? Oh yes!

Geri & Karen SSSQQQUUUEEEAAALLL!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Carol, nice card. (Eva-you're so efficient.)

Glad Syd is feeling better, must have been really worrying for him.

Hi BHB, going to a gym way up north! Just too much activity. Thank you, lovely you have my dc and fruit platter all set up for me and you've stopped Carol putting incohol in it too. She wanted to in celebration of her birthday, did she? You look fit and well after your holiday. I'm going up to London in a few weeks time, if you tell me where you work in the evenings I'll pop in to see you. I've somewhere to go go in the afternoon, but I'll have time after about 17:15 to pop and see you, just tell me where you'll be. Don't give me the normal rubbish about performing, why do you keep up with these illusions?

Diana, I heard it was going to rain down south atabout lunchtime for a few hours, so if you can get the washing in before then it might be OK. I'll get soaked though, 2 customers at 13:30, so I have to go riding in the afternoon.

Ok, they lied, it's just started raining now.

Sun's still shining here, Jo. If the rain has come early, maybe it'll stop early. Hope you don't get soaked.

Morning loppies
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL, JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE, FELICE COPLE ANO,,, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CAROL HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU .
I hope you will have a great day inspite of weather.
Did my voting .... me good loppy!!!!!.
don't know if i can come in tonight in view of work load.
Have a great day Dear Loppies.xxxx
Our Donna is now an Auntie. well done sister of mistress.!

Carol,- pleased you got your birthday card. I did say in my letter that you are the original Loppy! I have checked the list of Tall Ships in Bergen and there is no mention of Sedov. There are however 15 British ships and 1 Irish amongst the 80 ships taking part. Can you imagine the magnificent sight in Bergen harbour now?

I've just come back from Syd, and he is fine, although still a bit shaken after yestreday's upset. He'd had his breakfast and was out of bed, so I'm sure he will be fine. I swear he blushed when I said the Loppies sent their love!

Diana,- I don't want rain either, so please don't send it further south. My w*****g is waving merrily from the line, and that's the way I want to keep it!

Auds,- did you move the new fridge/freezer out again just so you could ask BHB to take his shirt off? On second thoughts, not a bad idea.........Now, what can I move about which needs help from a certain young man?

Ah Eva thats lovely about Syd.
Now Auds we still haven't got our new fridge put in, still waiting,so I think it only fair that you send BHB over here, promise to look after him, honest.
Eva I read that yesterday in the Mail, so very sad.

Eva so please Syd is ok
so sad to read about PN.
Oh linx sorry forgot to say welcome ... put it down to senior 27 moment!.
Must stop to check in and work.!
Oh BHB why can't you comwe and help ! I know you helping other loppies but a little help pretty please. Oh alright then you will do it later thank you gorgious.!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

gorgeous even! bye

Good Morning all Martin here.
Maggie has asked me to warn you about the size of hand luggage (for those of you going to Dublin by Ryanair) their hand luggage allowance is SMALLER than other airlines, normal airlines sizes are 56cm tall x 45cm wide x 25cm deep, Ryanair is
50cm x 40cm x 20cm including wheels, apparently there is a box that they try to fit your bag in, so beware most cases comply with other airline sizes.

Maggie found this out yesterday whilst out shopping in Cambridge for luggage, double check the sizes before you buy/pack

I hope all are well and Ooooohhhhhmmmmmssssssssssssss for Sid and anyone else who needs them

Happy Birthday Carol, so glad that as the original you got a card from himself!

Good to hear that PB had a good night K2 and that you've had a bit of a rest from the stairs.

Geri, Auds story about her hamster Hammy was prompted by my being in charge of hamster Caramel for a couple of weeks and hoping that nothing awful befalls her while she's in my custody!

Happy to hear that Syd's OK today.

Ah Maeve, see I got confused there - I was thinking about another Hamster (did you have the same problem Jo4?)

Martin - thanks for the warning. And that reminds me - last time I flew with Ryanair ladies' handbags counted as an item of hand luggage. I don't know if the same regulations still apply, but it might be worth checking.

Hi all I'm home again!

Most important thing first HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL!!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day, with lots of incahol of course.

Had a fantastic day yesterday. The wedding was beautiful. Wonderful setting, St Albans Abbey, and they had a lovely choir singing as well. The bride looked just fantastic, don't think the dress came from a chain store! So pretty with butterflies hand emboidered on to a lovely long train. She is a very petite pretty girl anyway so she was off to a good start! The bridesmaids wore purple (yes purple!) short strapless dresses, with layers of chiffon, fortunately both very slim as well so looked great! The reception was at Brockett Hall (yes the ex home of the I'm a Celebrity guy that went to jail for fraud) The most beautiful setting. The weather drizzled until about 4pm when we got to the reception then it cheered up a bit, managed to keep the fascinator dry, but hair did suffer a bit. Anyway lots of champers so didn't care!

Only had time for a quick skim of the blog. Great news that PB is ok. Bad news about Syd, but glad he is ok, ohhhhhhhhmmmmmmms for them both.

Did catch the thing about PN awful, one of my favourite men.

Thanks for the links will follow them all later, for now must try and do something!

Hi Pauline2,- I'm so glad the fascinator survived. I was worried about it! You didn't get to see that your blankets were used yesterday by one of the Olympic teams? (I can't remember the country.) Did they ask you or the BHB first?

Rain has just started here, but I cheated on the weather gods, because I got the w*****g in just in time! Ha! ! ! I do love the smell of w*****g that has dried outdoors. OK, OK, I'll stop talking about h***w**k.

JaneE,- knowing Ryanair, ladies handbags probably still count as 1 item. I usually pack the handbag itself in the suitcase, and keep my purse, tickets and passport in the larger bag.

Martin,- thanks for the tip about Ryanairs different maesurements for handluggage. I haven't measured mine yet, but what price for guessing it's probably too large?

Rain has stopped and the sun is shining. Typical, now I'm home from the shops!

Devestated about Paul Newman, one of my heroes. He seems to be facing mortality with the same courage and decency which he has always shown throughout his life. I wonder if the close friend who got his car was Redford.

Jane, I thought the same thing about the Hamster too.

I don't think the handbag restrictions still apply with Ryanair; they weren't in force when I went to Oxford a few months ago. The size of the carry-on is still an issue, though. Their web-site should give more details.

Hope all the sick, sad, and otherwise needy loppies have a lovely sunny day. Ohmmmmms to all of them (plus honorary loppies Syd & PB).

Two weeks from now, Auds, we'll be having lunch in Stratford-upon-Avon. SQQUUUUUUEEEEEEEAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

What??!!! Someone was using my blankets? No Eva nobody asked me or BHB, blooming cheek I call it!

I stand corrected. This is from Ryanair's website (http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=bag&quest=cabinbaggageallowance):
Each passenger (excluding infants) is permitted to carry one piece of cabin baggage on board (free of charge). Strictly one item of cabin baggage is permitted per passenger (excluding infants). Handbag, briefcase, laptops, duty free etc must be carried within your permitted 1 piece of cabin baggage. It should weigh no more than 10kg and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Due to security restrictions - certain items cannot be carried in cabin baggage - click here for details. For the safety and convenience of all passengers, cabin baggage must fit underneath the seat or in the overhead compartment. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refund and to deny you boarding if you arrive at the boarding gate with more than one item of cabin baggage or if that item exceeds the maximum dimensions.

Sounds like a lovely wedding Pauline2!

I had a similar way of getting round the handbag restrictions Eva. I would put my wrap which I use as a blanket on the plane in my hand luggage - and when necessary wear it so it would leave room for my handbag.

I'm sorry to hear about Paul Newman too. Excellent actor! The Sting is one of my favourite films.

Hey Geri, I don't want to worry you but you do have that trek to the wild north of England afterwards!

Ah! I posted too soon. Back to the wrap/handbag swap then!

Geri,- thank you for that. Now, why am I not surprised? They even threaten to throw us off ! Charming!

They wouldn't dare throw you off the plane Eva,WOULD THEY???????????

...and my sis has just return from Rome via Ryanair and warned me about the size restriction and no handbag (NO HANDBAG?????) so I was going to email this weekend about it but pipped at the post. Currently pouring with rain, but have managed to go shopping - had some birthday money and Ploppy wanted to buy me a lightweight mac thing, so needed my body before he would purchase (that didn't read right, but you get the picture), so now have nice lilac Dannimac (might come to Dublin) and a new dress! Aunty Eva - I imagine the tall ships look just stunning! Pouring with rain here, but started out really nice! Had a brunch in our wine bar (statistics to date half a bottle and an extra glass) - friends collecting us tonight so no worry about drinking and driving! Thank you for all the birthday wishes - 27 again! Who would have thought it? Geri I also had a new Ricahrd III book "Richard III the Maligned King" by Annette Carson - will report back!

Ooh, Carol, tel-lop-athy strikes again! I was just e-mailing someone something about you being a Richardian! And I have something to e-mail you later, but it's not ready yet (she said mysteriously...)

...this telopathy thing is really good Geri!! Cover blurb says " Richard III , King of England from 1483 to 1485, made good laws that still protect ordinary people today. Yet history concentrates on the fictional hunchback as depicted by Shakespeare: the wicked uncle who stole the throne and killed his nephews in the Tower of London. Voices have protested during the intervening years, some of them eminent and scholarly, urging a more reasoned view to replace the traditional black portrait. But historians, whether as authors or presents of popular TV history, still trot out the old pronouncements about ruthless ambition, usurpation and murder. Annette Carson seeks to redress the balance by examining the events of his reign as they actually happened, based on reports in the original sources. Eschewing the overlay of assumptions so beloved by historians – about character, motivation and hidden intention – instead she traces actions and activities of he principal characters, using facts and time-lines revealed in documentary evidence." So I am fairly hopeful!

Oh good! I've just come back to the Richard III Appreciation Society again. And me a Lancastrian (by birth anyway)

Interesting discussion- back at Tearfest I travelled Ryanair with a carryon case and a handbag and those were the rules then, but Ryanair being as they are I wouldn't take a chance on it, so I could at a push have fitted my handbag and contents into the case which itself is tiny. It was for only one overnight so I needed very little.

I'm flying into Rome in less than 3 weeks and I only booked myself for carryon baggage and was hoping to bring a slighty larger case as I'm going to a wedding and staying 4 nights so I guess I'll have to get the measuring tape out! Have to admit though, I'm so much better at economic packing than I used to be!

On the Ricardian theme, when we were down in Waterford at my cousin's place, there were a number of DVD's she keeps there and one of them was a box set of a series called "Kings & Queens", don't remember it being on TV but it covered one Monarch per episode from King William, 1066 onwards. Well you can guess which one I picked to watch first! I don't think you Ricardians would have been happy with the way the story was told but they did at least make it sound most peculiar that such a "good guy" for want of a better phrase, could do such a thing which didn't seem to be in his nature.

Oooh that book sounds really good Carol. Full report please when it has been read, she definitely sounds as if she realises R3 was innocent!

All this baggage thing, I feel for you. I don't think I could manage carry-on bag of that size. I have never understood the term travel light! Only way I could do that is by wearing all my clothes for travelling! Odd this cos my object has always been to have as little carry on baggage as possible. I have always hated cabin bags. Maybe years of trying to find somewhere to stick them (pardon the expression) has something to do with it!

I shall have to find a copy of that book too, Carol. Definitely sounds like my sort of reading. I echo Pauline's plea for a full report when you've finished it.
Karen2, I don't remember: did you finish reading 'Daughter of Time'?

It's so often the same Karen2, people start with the assumption R3 was guilty and then go on from there. It makes a change when researchers actually don't assume anything, and then they nearly all conclude he was innocent.

I did Geri, finally........! You'd swear it was a big book!

At the moment I'm reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini, who also wrote The Kite Runner, which, if you haven't read it already, omg you just have to!
Highly highly recommend it and this one is shaping up to be just as good.

You can't leave it there, K2: Are you convinced of the man's innocence? After all, he's one of the most maligned man in history, the more people who accept that small fact the better.

I think I am, will that do for now?
The book was extremely good, however, when written in a fictional style it's hard to take it as gospel. Would need to read something more factual. Will need a small, maybe 5%, margin of doubt for now, is that ok?

Didn't mean that to sound so doubtful, put it this way, my opinion is that he certainly sounds innocent, would be interested, though, in hearing some more of what has been researched so I'll have heard it from more than one literary source. Is that ok? {almost afraid to look in case someone is throwing stuff at me!}

Of course it's all right, Karen2. You'll find plenty of 'experts' who will make a great attempt to convince you Richard was evil incarnate, but there are also several apologists who have a different view point. Sounds like Carol's book might fall into the latter category. Ah, nothing like a good historical debate on a Saturday afternon!

Absolutely, don't know about the northside but it's just bucketing down over here, glad I've nowhere to be going!

It's been bucketing down here, too, K2 for at least 40 minutes. All those people in Croke Park are going to be drenched through.

Hi all. Remember me??? Finally got the broadband swap sorted. What a nightmare! Remind me not to do that again for a while. Haven't had time to catch up yet, as with the school holidays I haven't had 2 minutes together to call my own. I'm afraid this is just a flying visit too, as we fly out to Corfu for 2 weeks on Monday and I'm not too sure what the internet access is like where we're staying. So, for now it's just the condensed Loppy catch up - well done/ what a shame/ happy birthday/ Ohhmmm!! I promise I'll catch up properly when I get back!

Hi Lindsey! Lovely to hear from you! Have a fantastic holiday!

I'm sure you're really worried about them, lol!

I have my my patio door open for a little air and while it's still like monsoon season out there, the Dublin radio station I'm listening to is reporting on all the flooding around Dublin and yet playing "Walking on Sunshine", they're trying to be optimistic I think!

Can't stop. Just want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Carol, hope you've have a fab day and gearing up for an even better night!
K2 and Eva, glad to hear the patients are doing well.

Not caught up with anythig else so apols if anything else - will try to read through later.

Update from me - Ploppy task completed sucessfully last night, thanks for ohhmmmms, prayers, flowers, virtual hugs and of course the bunny!

What a lot of intellectual discussion going on here. Beyond me I'm afraid so I'll leave you to it and go look at loincloth pictures - much more my level!!!

I had a funny turn this afternoon, came over all peculiar -and that was before looking at loincloth pics - so went for a lie down then had a long soak in the bath and I am now feeling much better. Don't know what it was but was very strange. Think I might need Dr Mead and his stethoscope!!!!

Hi Lindsey. Have a wonderful holiday.

Hi Lindsey - nice to hear from you, got your email also. Enjoy Corfu, the weather at least has to be better!

Well Done Suex! I'm gald the task went well!

I'm off out tonight to do my lush duty and drink lots with some friends. (Are you proud of me Carol?)

Bye for now! Have a nice night!

Hi Sue, bye Sue, glad ploppy task was ok, support all around then!

Karen - sending Dr Mead straight away, glad you're ok but do take care, xx

Geri - wasn't fully listening but I think they just said on the radio that the game in Croke park has been called off because of this rain, wouldn't advise you to head out your front door if that's the case, wet and now grumpy GAA fans heading your direction!

Stethescope, Karen? Is that what you call it..?

Karen2, the grumpys have left, thank goodness. I think they were so wet they just wanted to get home. Give the recent weather, I think we should start growing rice in Dublin. Well, they are Paddy fields...

paddy fields............groan

stethescope, mmm! I sense the gutter nearby!

..pouring with rain here too! Has been all afternoon - put the stop on Ploppy going and mowing the lawn! Lady Jane of course I am proud of you! Was going to wear new birthday dress out this evening, but looking at it trousers and boots seems a better bet!! Have a lovely evening everyone!

Hi Lindsey. Nice to see you again, and thank you for the e-mailadress. It's been added to my adressbook and the old one deleted. Oooohhhhhh, don't get me started on changing Internet providers,- I'd bore you all to death!
Have a good holiday, Lindsey!
Dear me,- we are getting intellectual here tonight. As I've also only read Daughter Of Time like Karen2, I can't really join in the full praise of the man, but will say he seems to have a good case.
Karen,- can I join you watching the loincloths,- preferably with GO inside?

...ops forgot to wave to Lindsey and say have a lovely holiday! Corfu should be nice and warm and sunny (not like here) - do you want some companions???

Yep we have the rain here as well. I hardly dare say it but am supposed to be going to a party tonight. Feel a bit jaded myself, so I think I will take your remedy of a bath Karen, Haven't time for the lie down though! Hope you are ok, ohhhhhhhmmmmmmms just in case, and take care. Might actually try looking at the GO in a loincloth guarenteed to make me feel better!

Lindsey, have a lovely holiday, I'm sure you will. Carol that is a splendid idea, a sunny holiday in Corfu, where's the Tardis?

Suex, glad mission was accomplished and Ploppy is now in the loop!

Better get myself together, sigh.

Oooh A loppy holiday to Corfu?? Seems like ages since we went away.....can we come Lindsey, can we, can we ???pleeeeeease?

Hi Lindsey, I think I've sorted the email problem I was having with stageloppies@googlemail.com so your new email address is in the group. Somehow I couldn't get rid of your old address, even though the new one was showing, so I deleted and readded. Looks OK now. Have a lovely holiday.
Suex well done for completing your mission.
I got rather damp this afternoon, at least is was very quiet, all the walkers had been put off by the rain. Eva, can you come and tell Megan off. I was trying to give her a little walk, leading her by her reins (so not very long) she did her impression of a bucking bronco. Very scary, but she is bored at being kept in, so she has an excuse.

Just caught up with today, so
Happy Birthday Carol and enjoy your night out.
Have a good time at the party Pauline, glad the wedding went well.
All those going out tonight, enjoy.
Pleased PB and Syd are feeling better. Ooooohhhmmmsss just in case.
Oooohhhmmmsss for Karen, take it easy. Can I join you and Eva in loincloth drooling?
Think if anyone is going out today they need welly boots and waterproofs.

Jo4,- I'm a tab busy just now. Have some serious business to see to at the moment.
Kathleen,- don't push! There is plenty of room for us all.
Jo4,- sorry, where was I? Oh, yes, busy at the moment, but I can send some carrots to the stroppy one! Do you think that will help.
Who wanted the Tardis? It's been quite busy lately, what with BHB using it to zoom up north and back to join something called a gym(?) with Linx. If we ask nicely, he might let us do a detour to the Corfu.

Hey, how cool is this - mention loincloth pics (yes Eva, with the GO in them!!) and suddenly loads of loppies turn up. I'm just looking at a really close up pic where the tightey whiteys are on show - Anybody else want to join in!!?? STAMPEDE.................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen,- cool? ? ? ? I'm feeling rather hot!

It must be that Tel-lopathy that was being talked about the other day!
Eva - where's your fan?

Karen2,- my fan is working very hard at the moment. If Karen's Ploppy had seen me, he would be conserned.

Oooh tighty whiteys and I have to go out, just the thought makes me feel better.

See you tomorrow folks, don't be too good!

Jooooooooooooooooooo,- what are trying to do to us? ? ? ? ? Who's nicked his loincloth? Megan?

Eva - feeling hot hot hot?????? If Ploppy could see what I've been looking at just now he would indeed be concerned!!!!!! Phew - fan definitely required!

Have a good evening Pauline. We'll keep the gutter warm for you!

Naughty, naughty Karen!!

Just realised that if we post links to Carys site, only members can see what we are looking at......phew!!

PHWOARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Jo4,- thank heavens for that. I think Scott dear would keel over if he saw that, eh?

Eva, now what would Megan do with a loin cloth? The way she was today, she would have eaten it. She was wild, made me really quite scared. Rocks was a star though, with a beginner.
Foyles war on now

My sentiments exactly Geri.

Oops, thanks Jo, never thought of that!!

Geri, sorry didn't get the joke in your Hamster reference earlier, feel very thick, my brain sometimes works very slowly for a 27 year old!

Oooooh Jo4, that pic. is really a corker, definitely a fave.

Eva, who is to say he isn't, there are a couple of names in the members list I don't recognise from here or LMAS.

Right, fun time over. Wipe the dribble from the laptop, big ging, not mine, he's been rubbing his face all over the corner of the screen. RFFD is up and running again, catch up later.

I agree Jo4 - wipe the dribble (mine!!) off the laptop and go finish making dinner!

aaarrggghhhh! I can't get to see the picture, this computer doesn't know me and I've spent the last 20 stupid minutes trying to get the stupid msn to accept my stupid password and telling me stupid stuff about net passports and all kinds of stupid problems, **[shuffling off now to sulk in the corner!]

Dribble? I'm in a puddle!

Karen2,- do you want a desciption? On the other hand, better not, that would definitely make Scott dear keel over!
Tell you what, I'll e-mail it to you.
Jo4,- maybe he is. If so, I'm sure it's only to keep a friendly eye on our antics!

ooh yes please Eva!

K2 - email sent. Sorry Eva, did it before I read your post. Still, I'm sure K2 won't mind getting them twice!!!!

Karen2,- e-mail sent. Enjoy!

Jo4 -- if Scott did peek, I think he'd be delighted and happy to put 'loppy' on his passport. The names you don't recognise on Carys's site are friends of Carys's from her graphics group. I believe most of them are abroad.

Speaking of Carys, I haven't heard from her for a couple of days and my e-mails keep bouncing back. Hope her system isn't being cranky again. Yoo-hoo, Carys! Are you there??

Thankyou Eva and Karen, what a thudworthy picture, wasn't sure whether to put on my loppy cooling unit or just step outside to the torrential rain shower!

Karen2,- why don't you do both!

ok, we're going to watch Will Smith in I Robot and I've made popcorn, signing off now, have a nice night all
talk to you tomorrow

Torrential rain here too, so I'm staying right where I am - in front of the loincloth!!!!!!!!! My windows are steamed up too - wonder why!!

Karen,- have you turned the heating on?

I've turned the heating on, I was chilled just sitting painting hearts. Geri, I guessed the names were Carys friends, I was just kidding about Scott being a member. He'll have better things to do!!
I am now the proud owner of a finished fan, like everyone else. Except mine has a nice little cat painted on it.

I know, Jo. And I'm guessing you're a Danny Boy fan, what with the kitten...?

Eva - who needs heating when you've got loincloth pics???? The heatings definitely on, but it's not of the electrical variety!! Hey, that's an idea - could save a fortune on fuel bills this winter - just display loincloth pics around the house and other forms of heating will not be required!!

Karen,- what do you think Ploppy would say to that? Or is he already resigned to there being "three in the marriage"?

Well Geri, I must admit he has got a lovely voice. (Apart from the worst version of Maggie May I've ever heard) It's just I prefer the 'whole package'. My main regret from ADWD is we never got to hear a duet from the 2 of them.

Good point, Jo4. Now if it had been Lee & Daniel singing Superstar or Oh What a Circus or Bring Him Home (but not in a sing-off obviously), that would have been amazing.

Karen, I like your plan for saving the environment by using pics of the GO in place of heating. Should someone tell the Queen (bet Ma'am is a fan too!)

Geri,- excuse me for being stupid, but what does the Queen have to do with it?

Basically delete Weepy or Keith insert Daniel, they would have been so much better.
The heating is drying the saddle cloths as well.
Better do the packed lunches now

Eva - I think Ploppy resigned himself to that a long time ago. Good job really - imagine if he'd made me choose between the two of them!!!!!!!!!!

Geri - the GO, eco friendly, brill, they'd need a lot of pics to heat Buck House - shall we offer to go put the pics up - of course we'd need to take more pics of the subject himself to make sure there's enough!!! You up for it!!??

From loincloths to planning heating propositions for her Maj? Things certainly happen in LoppyLand!
I'll leave you to draw up the planning of becoming "By appointment to".........
I'm withdrawing to my bedroom, with some lovely images imprinted on my mind.
Good night all, sleep tight, have wonderful dreams and wake up happy.

Count me in, Karen! It's the man's patriotic duty to pose for us. Uh, I mean, the country...And while we're in Buck House we can check out secret info exonerating Richard3, right? I do love it when a plan comes together!

Ok Geri, as I walked into that one, I'll agree to do that, although whilst you're checking out Richard3's innocence I might just check out the GO's lack of the same!!! For Queen and Country you understand!!!!

Karen, are you trying to create a heat surge from which the land, nay, continent, may never recover? Besides, I feel I have a loppy duty to protect the GO's innocence. Or at least participate in the exploration of same...But I'll still do my duty as a Ricardian -- but of course the GO will be happy to help me. He's a man who hates injustice.

Geri - trust me, there will be no injustice in the exploration of the GO's innocence!!!!!! But if the GO wants to help in your quest then far be it from me to stop him - he insists that I help though!!!

Right better get off now, packed lunches in fridge, next lot of saddle cloths in washing machine.
I'll leave you reducing global warming in an imaginative way and saving the reputation of R3.
Nightlee night

Of course you must help! We owe it to truth! To history! To the Plantaganets! Besides, getting dusty with the GO could be fun...

Hello from soggy Dublin

I've just spent four and a half hours on a journey that should have taken about twenty minutes. Dollop and I took my sister for a belated birthday treat. We went shopping for her birthday present and then we had a lovely lunner (that's somewhere between lunch and dinner). As we sat in the restaurant the heavens opened. We got soaked as we dashed back into the shopping centre. We decided to check out a few more shops in the hope that the rain would stop. It did - for about two minutes and we got soaked again running to the car. Then it took three hours to get out of the car park. The motorway was flooded and impassable and we had to dodge flash floods on a very roundabout route home.

I'm so tired now I can't catch up on today's chat.

Here's hoping the sun remembers to shine tomorrow.

Jenny Dublop

Geri - getting dir.., er I mean, dusty with the GO sure sounds like my idea of fun!!!

Jenny - hello to soggy Dublin from soggy Yorkshire. If we ask Aunty Eva nicely she might bring some of her sunshine to Dublinfest!!! We might have to bribe her though with promises of pictures of the GO!!

Forgot to say - night all, sleep well.

Well I just thought I'd do a bit of Googling before I went to bed and I found something interesting. One of my fav photos is by Snoo.
http://groups.msn.com/StageLoppies/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=2
I've found a blog by Snoo. She did a fanvid, which we've seen and a painting too. And another painting of the transport driver. I'll put links in following posts.

Morning, morning, see you all made it into the gutter last night whilst I was out! Sadly like Karentwo the site won't let me in...boo hoo! Oh thank you BHB you want to kiss me and make the world better? Feel free! Had lovely meal out last night, super restaurant so just fell into bed. Off to church shortly (don't call me Shortly), so catch up later and try the links again. Right, coffees are on, eggs are on (omelettes a la mode today), tomatoes grilling, bacon sizzling - fruit nicely infused. See you later - of thank you BHB he's going to walk back with me......

Morning all. A soggy morning here, although it seems to be brightening up a bit.

Jo4,- thank you for all the links. I hadn't seen the black and white photo of GO before. That is lovely!

I just heard a Norwegian singer being praised on Radio 2. Her name is Sissel, and she is a marvellous singer,- the voice of an angel. And she is from Bergen, of course! I'll find a YouTube link later so you can enjoy listening to her too.
Hello sweetheart. Carol's been and gone, and like a good boy you walked her home? What should we have done without you? You look a bit reserved today,- what's up? You think we misbehaved a little last night? ? ? ? We were only looking at some photos! Where is the harm in that? It can't be good for the blood pressure? What blood pressure? We're only 27, for heavens sake! And you are very shy? Well, you didn't have to look ! It was photos of you? ? ? Now, sit down here, my lovely. I'll get you a coffee ( a normal one), a nice piece of toast and marmelade, and you'll soon feel better. I'm sure Pauline will be along with her blankets. (She might be late. She was out partying again last night!) Then she'll sit with you and sooth you. I'll do the breakfasts, I promise.
How is it I always end up doing this?

Morning All
I'll help with the breakfasts Eva - I'm quite good in the kitchen, anyone fancy some french toast? I'll teach BHB how to make it and distract him from this worrying about the photos that he thinks were of him.

Carol - I'll send you on the email version of the photos that Eva and Karen sent me.

Jo - can't open Snoo's picture but loved the YouTube and her pictures are very good, she's very talented. The blog was interesting - was this the forum she came on?

Well it started sunny but it's raining at the moment. Poor Jenny, I was listening to radio reports of just how bad the M50 got yesterday, not surprised that it took you so long to get home.

So, where's Party Pauline this morning? It must have been a good night!

Morning all, here again, slightly weary, all this celebrating business is hardwork! Good party last night and quite a few of the wedding party there so quite a few of us were a bit jaded. Anyway today is a quiet day so hopefully can recouperate.

Thankyou for all your shennaigans last night, following those wonderful links, that is the best wake up I have had in a very long time, much warmer today isn't it?

On which note the sun is shining here, at last. I felt so sorry for them last night, they had a gazebo type marquee in the garden with lots of fairy lights, it looked so pretty....from inside the house! The only people that used it at all were the smokers!

Morning BHB I know I have been in a hurry for the last few days, well I didn't make it at all yesterday morning! Did you miss me? What do you mean surprisingly yes? What's surprising about that?! So I think we can have some coffee and a cuddle In my blanket to make up for lost time don't you? Yaaay!!

Didn't see you there till I'd posted Karen2 I'm here, I'm here!
