Geri, I should be interviewing several people, but I don't have final confirmation of some of them. Amongst them will definitely be a TV and West End actress, as I had to sign some paperwork for that one. I'm also hoping for (at the very least) a veteran singer and TV presenter, along with an actress who didn't do too badly in a previous series of Strictly Come Dancing. Maybe a couple more, too.

I'm saying no more, 'cos I'm afraid I'll jinx things if I do!

My turn for the electronic gizmos to go weirdo. I had an e-mail from college and when I tried to open it it set off a cascade of my e-mail programme. It went up as far as 12 copies of the stupid programme before I managed to get the system shut down and reboot. Then the offending message didn't want me to delete it. See what happens: the CO has a new album out and we all have electronic weirdness. Coincidence? I think not.

So excited for tomorrow. Just for you, K'leen, I'll do my level best to give the GO and kiss & a hug. Heck, if I get that close, I'll try to give him hugs & kisses from each of you. In turn. That's how good a friend I am.

Good morning, BHB, shh, don't want to wake up any sleeping loppies. No, we'll leave the purple blanket for Lady Jane. I don't have much time, because I have to head off to the airport. I have a hot date with some loppies & a certain Gorgeous One. So a quick cup of tea, a Danish and a hug will have to do. Cover your ears, BHB. Why? Because -- SQUUUUEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLL! Well, I did warn you...

Morning. I’m feeling very bright and happy despite little sleep. Great show last night. The audience started off quiet but ended up very noisy – Lee commented in his speech about it being a great audience – but I’m jumping ahead.

I met Eva in the SP for a drink (sorry non-alcoholic) and a chat about 6.15 and then we toddled along to the Adelphi. I thought at first there was going to be quite a few empty seats but a lot of people came in at the last minute – I had 2 empty seats in front of me and was thinking lovely, no heads to obstruct my view but a couple of mins in some latecomers arrived.

Lee was in good voice, couple of times maybe not quite 100% on the notes but nothing that noticeable. No sweat. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous man *sigh* I didn’t see quite what happened but part of the coat must have gone into the pit with Lee because a moment later one arm was thrown out! Very funny. I got a bit emotional a couple of times thinking about 10 Jan. I wish there was film of my favourite part – second ADWD, I love that scene; it’s so sad to think we won’t be able to see it for much longer.

Jenna somewhat irritated me last night – very OTT at times, I pulled a face at one point. I’m hoping she might be on holiday/off sick for my remaining visits so I see Fiona. Reduced brothers – no Reuben, no Baker, no Benjamin. The actor playing Benjamin was considerably taller than Tom and it really disconcerted me. The bit where Joseph hugs Ben near the end just wasn’t right. Frenchie (Simeon?) did most of Reuben’s songs as well as his own. I’m not sure if the actor who normally plays Reuben was covering the Baker last night – didn’t quite sort it out. But certainly they were short on brothers, most of the time there were only ten and I’m guessing it’ll be the same tonight. Russell got two pieces of corn and had his usual competition with Craig. I noticed Russell did the emptying the bag bit twice, once to cover a missing actor, once as Gad. I’ve yet to go to a performance where Dean’s understudy is on – would quite like to see him once.

No-one got up in the mega mix but most of the audience – in the stalls anyway – had their hands in the air clapping.

At the end of the mega mix Lee came on in one of the cut out bullying coats and went up on the cherry picker in it. He was twirling around showing it off (not on the cherry picker!). He made a speech which was interrupted by a loud noise! He said something about wind and looked at Stephen who denied it was him! The coat was really impressive and I’m looking forward to seeing another tonight. I didn’t pick up one of the anti-bullying leaflets – someone please remind me tonight! At the end of the show it looked like the whole stalls were standing up and I got the feeling upstairs were too.

The scrum was fairly small so Eva & I got front “seats”, with a little boy whose birthday it was. He was in a Joseph coat and Lee stopped to speak to him. Lee signed my ticket and I took a number of photos but, as usual, they don’t look great other than one. I’m going to try standing further back tonight if there’s a small scrum in the hope of getting some better pics.

Hopefully Eva can fill in any gaps. I always forget something.

Woohoo only a few hours and I get to do it again!

And I did forget something, probably more than one. Lee said the coat was designed by Sydney and asked where Sydney was. A squeal and hands went up from about middle of row D (I was middle of H). Lee said he would see her after the show and we all applauded her - I see from eBay she's only 11. We had to wait a while for Lee afterwards and he came from the stalls area where he'd obviously been talking to her.

I am Soooooo glad I am staying at home and working from from home - and not going to the boxfest and meeting up with giggles of loppies. Ooops finding it hard to type as cant see over my long nose:) Have a great day boxfesters (and Jill) - and remember to raise a glass, or two, to absent loppies.

OOoh a new home - thank you Scott! Also good news in that the laptop is at the convalescent home (and really appreciated all the oooohhhmmms, grapes, bed baths etc. from you all). Had I not being elsewhere tonight (now let me thing....was there something important I was doing - probably remember later) - I could have collected it this evening. As it is I will pick it up on the way home from the office tomorrow night and then I'll be back in communication! Hooray!!! OK a reduced breakfast today as BHB has extra duties on Wednesdays with his other job, and also several regulars appear to be en route for London (at least I'm already there!). Morning all. Yes, I know I'm late, but I had to have a posh breakfast before I started looking for an Internet cafe, didn't I? It's lovely weather outside, so when I'm finished here, I'll be strolling along the Embankment. Wel,, you know me and water!

Hello sweetheart. Why do I have silly grin on my face? Because I saw GO last night, and ALMOST had a snuggle in his armpit! I'll tell you all about it. I don't have to? You know? How? Ohooooo,- he's sulking again!
No, I don't want any breakfast today. I already had one, but of course, it was nothing like you're breakfasts. (When I'm lucky to get one!) That brought a smile back on his face!

Right, where was I? Oh, yes, in the Adelphi. Met Diana for a coffe first, then we hared it over to The holy Grail (The Adelphi). We couldn't risk missing the opening!

I had a very good seat, Row F 29, but of course, not a patch on Row A. Roll on Monday! (Oh, didn't I tell you I was going again so soon?) The music started, the kids rushed in, Jenna gave her usual, belting opening,..........and there he was. His beaming smile took me to another Universe, and that's where I stayed for the next two hours and a bit!
As Diana said, they were a bit short of brothers, only ten to cover it all, which they did with their usual flair. I must say I miss Adam as the baker. In that scene he has a much better prescence than the guy covering for him. It was funny when Russel tried to manage two cobs of corn, and the usual horsepaly was there all the time.
Where Pharao usual sings:"Let's ask Jo what he has to say" He sang:"Let's ask the Teddybear what......." I think you have to knoe the text almost verbatim (?) to pick up that little snippet.

GO? Oh yes, he was there, and in spades! As I said to Jo in my text, he sang, danced and acted his socks off. No sweat, but plenty of leg hair (for AliB). His chest looked cleanshaven from where I was sitting.
In the megamix everyone was clapping, but it was only when the cherrypicker came down again, that everyone in the stalls got up. From then on the applause was really, really good. Lee's speach went very well until someone on or back stage let off a very rude sound. Everybody laughed, but Lee lost the plot for a moment. He soon found it again.

In the scrum, which was small and civilized, I put a little boy, whose name was Scott and whose seventh birthday it was, in front of me. When Lee came out and started doing his signings, I told him about the boy's birthday, and Lee bent down, spoke to him and signed his program. Scott was in seventh heaven!.... and so was I, because when Lee was leaning forward to pass out his signed photos, I ended up almost IN his armpit! I wanted to say:"OK, we can have a snuggle!", but restrained myself.

I'd better post this, as I have no idea how long I've been here. See some of you for lunch or tonight.

Well I can't say I'm surprised about JS. I almost thought that was what he was doing when he went to walk off stage immediately after his dance last week.
I can see both sides of the debate but I have to say that when it meant the likes of Cherie getting knocked out, which was just awful, it's probably for the best. It was a bit funny at first but feelings were starting to get hurt I think and then the fun goes out of it. Good for him for making the decision.

Well, the SL's should be gathering in the vicinity of the WestEnd about now, ooh it'd be nice to be there! Will be eagerly anticipating the text updates later.

A quick (again) Hi from me.. yippy, I got my pencil back as well. I figured it was LJ's fault. Although had a huge scare on my computer this a.m. my bosses outlook calendar had wiped itself clean... I wanted to run away and hide and scream blue murder at the same time. IT came dramatically to the rescue and restored it all.
I suggested to a couple of loppies that are in town and having lunch that they should take in a show this afternoon while waiting for see a few more loppies this evening.. I recommended Wicked. I haven't heard a peep from them since. I wonder if they managed to get tickets?
Not surprised and quite pleased that JS has opted to 'resign'. For Christine's sake mostly. I thought she looked quite embarrassed - it must be tough for her, not that she doesn't work as hard as the others on getting their partner to look their best, but.... I'll say no more (I don't have time to ramble) I've got lots of work to get through before I meet the gathering gigglers later.

heard about JS resigning from SCD on radio - have to say a shame at this stage as now no-one representing the over 40's (never mind over 50's). While I understand why he is doing it - I think a week too late.

As well as working from home today I popped out in lunch hour and did all the Ch......s sh....g that I need for my family this weekend. Gave the assistant in top shop free range to spend my money on clothes she would like for herself and her brother. She thought I was mad but all nieces and nephews bought for - hurrah.

For me, there's a whole tone to the rumour that sounds wrong. It started in Heat, and most of the articles since have been gossip columnists just repeating that same story, with no further corroboration.

Unfortunately, the interview that Gareth gave to The Stage for this week's issue was conducted a couple of weeks ago, so the subject didn't come up. And while I was interviewing two of his panto co-stars today (Alistair MacGowan and Joanna Page) I didn't get the opportunity to talk to him.

My *feeling*, though, is that it's not true. While RUG will undoubtedly want a big name to follow Lee if they want Joseph to continue in the West End, it strikes me as odd that they would hire someone with no W/E experience and not allocate him any rehearsal time beforehand -- after all, with two performances a day at Wimbledon, Gareth certainly wouldn't have time to slot in any rehearsal while he's in panto.

It's certainly possible that there may be a grain of truth in Heat's report -- maybe Gareth will take over the West End role at a later date, or maybe he'll join Bill Kenwright's touring version. Scott - thanks for your take on the rumours (and for the new home). The mystery deepens then, I had thought GG was a bit more credible than most. Still as someone else said what we really want to know is what Lee will be doing although that seems to be having a good rest and some time with his lovely lady immediately following the 10th Jan. And who can blame him!

Hi Scott Dear - how nice to see you sneak in with info for us - thank you for keeping us up to date!! Well no other Boxfesters up yet I see! Had a fabulous time last night. Met the others at La Tasca and they put us in the same upstairs area we had for Octoberfest - thank you to Lady Jane for organising. The view from our Box (A on CED side) was fantastic - ok we couldn't see the children on stage right, but what the heck? We almost felt we were on stage with the GO! As for the glimpse of tighties whities - well.....best view ever! Much evidence of red fans in all boxes. Show was as brilliant as ever - some swings in the brothers roles (no Adam, no Ricky) but a very strange thing - the Benjamin, who was quite tall performed up to and including those Canaan Days and then when they got to Egypt he had transformed into a blonde swing (Stuart?)....what's more when the GO was raising him up after the Calypso, he managed to head butt him, so the GO fell backwards onto the stage, rubbing his forehead. When he came back on in the chariot he looked across at the brothers (including swing Benjamin) and smiled and let them know he was ok!! Dean again used his "Let's ask this Teddybear" line - but I think what he used to say there was "Let's ask this Houndog" - certainly that's what he said last time I went! CED was fantastic, just fantastic - GO looked fit, lively and well (apart form the headbutt) and he told us he was fine in the scrum afterwards. Mission accomplished Jill and K2, by the way! Better do some work I guess, but tonight I COLLECT MY LAPTOP!!!

I tend to agree with you re GG and about the Panto/straight into Adelphi aspect of it, it certainly would be rushing him and he's bound to be very tired after the panto season.
It will certainly be interesting to see who is named officially. I never take anything as read until I hear it from the horse's mouth, so to speak and in my case you are certainly correct, Jan 10th will be my last trip to Joseph, I doubt I'll ever be able to enjoy it with any other leading man again.
As Geri would say, he's spoiled us for anyone else!

As I said to K1 last night about shared loppy experiences, all I have to do now is brainwash myself and convince myself it was actually me standing in the scrum who handed it to him to get signed...........and of course he was entranced by the vision before him, forgot all else and insisted we have a late supper together so he could get to know me better. Before I could reply he had Del clear the crowds and had whisked me into his limo with blackened out windows, off to a discreet little winebar, knew instinctively what to choose and ordered the same meal for both of us. Over coffee, leant forward and took my hand in his and said.............

OK, I REALLY REALLY had better get back to w**k, the daydreaming will have to be continued later.

Morning all, second boxfester repoting in! Sorry it is so long coming but of course most of them are still in London or working! I got home quite late so left it till now. In fact there were announcements about severe delays on the Picadilly line but fortunately I got straight though! Mind Maeve the train I was on was packed so I think you made the most comfortable decision!

Well what a fantastic evening. So lovely to see everyone before the show, and thanks must once again go to Ploppy of the year for treating us to the wine. I think for the sake of his pocket we better not meet too often! The show, oh you want to know about the show? Ok, ok! Well the box was amazing. No not the best view of all the stage but as Carol saaid you felt you were almost on it with them. You could see all their expressions so clearly and really got so much from it. Lee looked just beautiful, really bouncy and fit and loads of smiles. He got a huge ovation when he appeared, obviously delighted. Carol has described the mishaps, he really did get head butted badly, but I could just see him laugh when it happened, and I'm sure he was ok. He came on at the end in a lovely coat with a turquoise lining, just for you Fi! He gave his speech about anti bullying, that was when we quietened down enough to let him speak! He did say was a noisy bunch, and it was. Theatre was pretty full though rear stalls quite empty I think. Oh and lots of people up and dancing in the mega mix, though not all.Of course all of us in the boxes could really let our hair down. Fantastic! The scrum afterwards was a reasonably quiet one, and we managed to get quite a good place. When he came out and was in front of us I heard this voice say 'are you alright Lee?' then realised it was me!! He looked straight at me (thud) and said 'what?' managed to squeak out 'you were nearly knocked out' or something and he said 'yes, yes I was, no I'm fine'. So have managed to string a sentence together, not much of one I know but I did it!

Fi mission accomplished, it was a real hardship as he touched my hand in the process, more thudding! Let me know if you want me to post it to you (no not my hand, you know what I mean) or hang on to it till next time I see you.

Morning. Bit late today as Suex stayed over and we were up chatting till 1.00 am.

There were several incidents last night and the box was brilliant – as good as row A!

I got there in time for the matinee scrum so stood near the back taking a few photos. Nearly all of us were at the scrum so we walked round to the restaurant together where we met Carol & Pauline, Auds arrived a little later. We got drinks and the first couple of dishes but had to wait ages for the rest of the meal and ended up leaving a good bit as obviously didn’t want to be late.

The box was great. Firstly it was lovely to have our own little space – we were even able to hang our coats up. The seats were a bit hard but we got some booster seats for the second half which was much better. The view is fantastic. Eva, Jo, Suex and I were in D which is on the right hand nearest the stage. We saw much we’d never seen before, for example, in the Mrs Potiphar scene when Lee first sees Mrs P and her cronies, his mouth is wide open and an expression of amazement on his face; he has his back to the audience so you don’t normally see this. We also saw the cast talking to each other frequently. I could also see into the wings so saw Lee before he came on for the Potiphar scene – he was checking his outfit and gave his loincloth a tug – this was before he came on.

Reuben was back last night but Tom and Adam’s understudies were still on.

Those in boxes A&B got a VERY good view of the tighty whities – the fans were going furiously after this.

There were three – no four, just remembered another as I write - major incidents (that I can recall at the mo). In the second half Lee got the giggles and had to turn away at one point though I don’t know what happened. Before Lee puts his crown back on his head, he was playing around with the elastic, stretching it and then he put the crown on upside down – I think he did this deliberately. That gave us all a good laugh.

Towards the end but prior to megamix, I could see an actor in costumer standing in the wings trying to attract someone’s attention for a couple of mins – suddenly he came on to the stage and Tom’s understudy ran off. DK why they swapped over, maybe the first understudy was ill. Benjamin no 2 had only been on stage a few mins when he knocked out poor Lee!!! When Benjamin gets up to be hugged by Joseph after Joseph has revealed himself (!) to his brothers, his head hit Lee close to his eye. Lee keeled over onto the floor in a huddle, face down. The rest of the brothers immediately clustered in front of Lee to hide him. We were all looking at each other thinking OMG. Luckily Lee recovered virtually immediately. He seemed to say oh no, with his hand up to his forehead/eye, realised where he was and that he was supposed to get off the stage, staggered to his feet and ran off. When he came back on in the chariot, he seemed OK. Hope he’s feeling OK this morning – wonder if he has a headache or bruise.

He came on at the end of the MM in another coat and made a similar speech to Tuesday.

Although there were fewer in the audience last night (there were large gaps at the back of the stalls and rear of upper circle, partly because there were quite a lot of fans in the house, it was as appreciate as the night before. Indeed, the evening scrum was at least half Loppies!

No doubt I’ve forgotten several things – hope someone else adds the bits I’ve left out.

I must admit I had a lovely evening as well, we all arrived in London at about 4.30ish and found a pub for a drink and to catch up on all the news from each other, we then went to an Italian resteraunt in Old Compton Street which was excellent, and then to the show. If any of you haven't seen Jersey Boys then book to go for after 10/01, excellent show, the production is first class lots of slick scene changes, Ryan Molloy I thought was excellent and the part of Bob Gaudio was played by the understudy Paul Ayres, who again was fabulous, lots of lovely songs and music from my era!!!!It is a show I would go and see again, at the end as in Joseph a lot of the stalls were on their feet.
I might not be back till Sunday, Ploppy's Sloppy has to go to the Hospital today to have a lesion removed and will need people in the house at night, so begood all.

I have been extremely naughty. I just loved the box so much that I've booked Box A for Thursday 27 Nov using one of the offers. Wanted to see Fiona again too. They wouldn't sell a single ticket so I've had to buy two. Is anyone interested in the other ticket? Please email me if you are, otherwise I'll probably ask on LMAS. The other two seats are also available so it would be lovely if we could another box of Stage Loppies.

From my view down in Row E (Row F for the first half!) we didn't see the 'Glasgow kiss' ... just saw Lee reel backwards and twist away from the audience. At that point, before the brothers closed in, he was laughing his head off, so presumably not too dazed by the contact! In fact initially, I thought it was a deliberate move to cover up his 'corpsing', though that clearly wasn't the case!

Wonder what happened to Jonathan, presumably taken ill, but I hope it's not a lurg that will spread, the brothers are getting a little thin on the ground!

Another bit that had me giggling like a loon (along with half the brothers) was the 'tall palmtree' moment, where Stuart is obviously a wee bit heavier than they're used to and they couldn't lift him as they do Tom! After the initial effort, the giggles set in with a vengeance which rendered them even less able to achieve their task!

Oh and where did that note come from in 'and lots more besides' ... rising on 'sides' and holding it for a lifetime *gah*

If you need another reason to go to the show (teehee) I think you gather it is worth giving the box a try as although you do lose bits of the show you are so close to the action, you do see expressions and things (tighty wightys) you won't see from anywhere else! Box A for the tw view, I may never recover!

I've seen it a couple of times from Box B and the view is indeed wonderful - I couldn't possibly comment on TW action, but the wanton sprawl as he's thrown from the bed is a delight to behold from that angle ;)

Ro,- welcome to the gutter. Pauline2 is a seasoned member, so you'll be safe (NOT) in her company! It was nice seeing you, Woozie, Debbie, KarenC and the others AGAIN!
When Lee was thrown down on the bed and his legs went straight up in the air, we looked over at Boxes A and B, and the fans were working to double capasity! That side of the theatre is definitely the "right" side for that kind of sightings!

Watching the show from a box is a very different experience. You look straight down at the stage, and it feels really close. I also noticed things I never had before, as Lee's face when he first catches sight of Mrs. Potiphar. We had a good laugh at that.

The only bad thing about being up there, is that one of the huge loudspeakers are beside the box, and when Jenna really gets in to her stride (or her voice) you feel as if your eardrums will burst!

We had a lovely view of the orchestra and the conductor. The one there yesterday, the bald one, is fun to watch, because he is singing along for most of the time, and in the mega-mix is jumping up and down almost as much as the Loppies (!) and the cast on the stage.

When Lee was headbutted by Benjamin 2, I really feared for him. He was thrown backwards, and we could see him covering his eye with his hands. Then he crawled/ran out. When he came back on stage in the golden chariot, he looked OK, but then it sounded as if he missed the first sentence of ADWD when he's with Jacob. It was a microphone failure, but we had a heartstopping moment until his voice sounded again, rich and beautiful.

I think the others have covered most of what happened, except the fact that the overnighting Loppies went back to SP for a drink in the bar. The conversation? I'll give you two guesses. As usual a meet is the same as having a good time, and this one was no exception.

Now I just have time enough to come down to earth again before I'm back on the train for a DNA expedition on Monday!

Scott dear,- of course we won't tell Scottella or the others that you missed us so much that you had to come in and post twice,- just to make sure we noticed!
We did discuss GG last night, and he might do a good job. He's got a good voice, but as you say, whether they will risk a non- West End performer tahing over after Lee, is another question.

Scott great to hear your professional opinion re GG taking over in Jan., as you say it's hard to see how he could do panto and then Joe immediately after. Is it very unusual to leave the announcement so late?

Now to last night, lovely company, lovely meal, great show, I was in row B and it was pretty much as good as row A.
Go was looking more G than ever I thought, voice really strong and looked as happy as a sandboy even though he was knocked flying by Benjamin no.2 near the end.
It was very strange that the replacement Ben was himself replaced, he went from being pretty much shaven headed to suddenly having a full head of blonde hair. A bit of a mystery.

The coat Lee wore at the end was beautiful and he made a very confident speech, when the cheering stopped enough for him to be heard.

The only fly in the ointment for me was that I was sitting next to that unusual thing a woman who is not a LM fan, said she preferred the understudy and thought GO's singing was nasal anad that he goes onto fanblogs and encourages his middle aged fans, honestly if I'd had a fan I would have bashed her over the head with it, even though GO doesn't condone violence.

Hi all, I'm home. Easy trip to the airport (especially compared with last time's debacle), flight, and very easy commute home. From Covent Garden to my house in 4 hours, not bad at all.

I've just skimmed what I've missed on the blog & I see there have already been several excellent reviews posted of both the matinee & the evening show yesterday. I can't really add much except that I have fantastic scrum footage from the matinee's scrum (I'll try to get it to Martin or post it on YouTube or something. It's worth seeing.), I gave Lee some chocolate buttons (thanks to Suex) and I sweare I'd have gotten a kiss but for the tw*t who kept pushing me (and everyone else) out of the way. Said tw*t (and no, that's not an 'i') bragged that she wouldn't have bothered going to the show at all except she got discounted tickets. Then decided Lee HAD to have a photo taken with her. When he refused she kept trying to get beside him to have her husband take the picture anyhow. Rude cow.

Anyway, I also got to ask Lee what he was doing post Jan 10. There was about a half-second before he replied, and I swear you could hear the intire scrum hold their breath. Don't get excited though, all he said was, 'Resting'. He did add that he was still figuring it out.

The box was fabulous as was seeing so many loppies again. I won't get to see the show any more now till the very end which made me sad during the evening's show. I think several of us felt that way.

Oh, and since I was with the gutter gang you can imagine the conversation following the tighty-whitey flash. I can't share details on a family site, but I will say the word 'bulging' came up. A lot.

Oops, manners! Forgot to say thanks, Scott, for that observation. It'll be our secret.

Evening all, been at Sloppys' all afternoon as her gardener was there. Some of you will have met her last night, and she is a definite Loppy! She loved the show but sadly her friend she was with had to catch a train and couldn't wait for the scrum. Told her she should have stuck with us! When I told her how close the GO was to me she went a slightly greenish colour!

Geri glad you had a good journey home, it was so lovely seeing you again yesterday, albeit all to briefly! Same goes for all those present.

First thing to say is thank you to all the loppies who were there for making it a great time, as always. Thanks too to Rick for picking up the wine bill.

K2 - sorry about the gobbledygook!!! You'll understand why!

Okay, here goes. Matinee was row J which, despite us wondering if we would not be close enough, the seats were absolutely fantastic. Right in the centre and more than close enough (okay not Row A but still fab). We had a great view of the "action" (Lee in the loincloth!!) at both sides of the stage and when he was stood centre stage he was directly in front of us, so just perfect. The show itself was, as has already been said, fantastic. When he went up on the cherry picker he was directly in front of me and my eyes just followed those white jeans all the way up!! When he was right at the top I was looking up at him and it felt like I was worshippng at his feet (I was, I was!!).

Then the scrum....... hang on I need a large swig of the red............okay, the scrum was quite small and I had already decided I was going to try get my fan signed as I figured this was my last chance as it will just be manic in January so I was really pleased to see that it was quite small. My previous scrum experiences have been from quite far back and and I took photos which were okay but looking at him through a camera lens is just not the same as looking at him in the flesh!!

We were right at the front and I had my fan all ready for him to sign. Then there he was. OMG!! The first time I had been so close to him!!! WOW! There were a few of us at the front with fans to sign and as he approached us, he clearly recognised them and he said "oh the fans" (meaning the fans, not us!!) and, seizing the opportunity (which amazes me as I expected to be a complete gibbering wreck), I said "I imagine you've signed quite a few of these now haven't you Lee" and then it happened, he looked directly into my eyes and said "yes I have" and then came the megawatt smile!! Only three little words but those eyes and that smile, directed at you, are a lethal combination. The man is simply stunning so close up! And correct me if I'm wrong ladies but, when he is looking straight into your eyes does it not feel as though it lasts longer than the few seconds it actually does. Mesmerising is the word!

So, I was on a complete high after that! Food, what food? Did we eat food after that! I don't recall,

Then it was the main event. The Box. What a fantastic view. As has been said you are so close you can see everything (yes including an incredibly good view of the tightey whitey's and yes Geri bulging is definitely the word!). Seeing the facial expressions, particularly the GO's, makes a huge difference and you do get to see so much more of what is happening when he is further back on the stage. The only (minor) down side of Box B is that when he is stood talking to the butler you can't see unless you really lean over so, unfortunately for them, there was much squashing of poor Geri and Jane as I leaned over to feast my eyes. I'm sure they understood and didn't mind though!

One of the best bits of the view from the box for me, was just before CED, when he's laid on the floor on his back, one knee up, one knee to the side and then he turns onto to his side and you see his back and the swell (steady on) of his hip. I shall say no more other than that my thoughts went off in a Chapter X direction and it is an image I shall keep with me for a long time!!

I have to say (sorry Sue1, hope you don't mind me saying this) another enduring image I will keep with me is Sue1's face as we watched her in Row A dead centre when he was stood directly in front of her. I wish I could have taken a picture because it was just true Loppy adoration. I loved it!

Then scrum number two. Again we were right at the front, until the really rude couple referred to by Geri, shoved their way in front us. Grrrr! We still had a good view though. Jane's friend Caz had asked me to get her ticket signed whilst she took a picture of him. Hey, any friend of Jane's is a friend of mine so, of course, I selflessly agreed!!!!!! SueX gave some excellent advice on how to hold the ticket for him to sign it (thank you for that SueX, you're a star).

As Lee came down the line I thrust my arm in between the rude couple and as he approached he looked up and again, looked directly into my eyes and smiled, and then he reached out to sign Caz's ticket and, in order to support it so he could sign, he cupped my hand in his.........sorry, let me just say that again.....he cupped my hand in his!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cloud nine floated by at this time and I hopped on! And there I remain.

When I went to bed last night, every time I closed my eyes I saw these mesmerisngly beautiful eyes looking back at me!!

Sorry this has been so long but I'm just so excited and I needed to share and who better to share with than you!!

Hi eva, I'm still about, RL getting in the way as usual, I have been a bit run down lately (not sleeping to well) falling asleep frequently which is not the normal Martin, plus 2 deaths recently, my boss last week aged 38 with a 4 year old daughter and one of my aunts died today (both Cancer)

Sorry to hear that sad news, Martin. It's awful to hear of the death of someone so young, and that's the sort of thing that touches everyone. Do take care of yourself, won't you?

Only time for a very quick post but must say what a fab day it was, theres nothing like a giggle of Loppies to make a great show even better! Diana and I sat up till 1 (although we struggled for something to talk about)and were straight back on topic the following morning. Much thudding and swooning on my part - Diana's Photo album is soooooo organised and zkinrbdjkietfgv.........can't understand why but I kept loosing the power of speech :)

I am here. Somehow really tired, just what was I doing yesterday.
First ooohhhmmmnnns for Martin, sounds like it will be the stress making you tired, it does that to me.
Second, sorry to Chatale and AliB for no during or after show text update, too busy talking and then was really tired.
I don't think I can add anything to the reports from yesterday. The evening show was very strange after the interval. Made more odd by the view from Box D. It was very good, just different. The only things I missed was Joe talking to the children on the right. I know there is all the brothers acting to the right which I couldn't see, but since I hardly ever see them anyway..........
When I got home last night I checked my post (which I usually never do when I get home that late) 1. I didn't get a 2nd interview. 2. I had a hospital recall for this morning from the test I had last Friday. Slight panic over 2, as I expected with1. At least it meant extra 30mins in bed. Went had retests and all OK, so I'm still fit and well!!
I haven't done the photos from last Sat or last night, sorry. I'll get to them soon. I must go to bed early today, had several 'senior' moments in Te**os tonight, nearly left my card twice and then couldn't find it for a refund. I'm sorry to hear about your young boss and your aunt. Life (and death) can be hard to cope with, sometimes. Thinking of you.

I've been on the phone for a long time with Syd tonight. While we were in London yesterday, he had his eye operation. I didn't mention anything about it, because even though I tried to phone him a couple of times, there was no answer. I knew the operation would be performed in the afternoon, and that his son had promised to fetch him from the hospital and stay with him overnight.
When I called tonight, he had just gone to bed. He told me it was rather painful, but he was so relieved it was all over. Fortunately he has a nurse coming in 3 times a day to check on him, and to give him whatever medication he might need. I'm going up to see him tomorrow morning, so I'll report back to you.

Now I'm taking GO with me up to bed! I AM I AM ! ! ! !! All right, then, I have been told off for telling fibs, so I'll come clean. He'll be on the DVD player and I'll be in my bed.....ALL ALONE ! All right?

Haven’t checked the blog, thought I’d just give my review of tonight’s do as I didn’t manage to contribute to last night’s one.
Another happy loppy with a double dose of Jo this week. I didn’t do tonight’s scrum – there were bus loads of kids there tonight… so I thought I’d leave it to them – there was a much bigger gathering in the scrum area by the time I got out there. And shamefully there were about 10 Row A seats empty tonight (well only for a little while… faithful LMAS filled them within a few minutes after kick off). Full band of brothers tonight with one exception – Neal (Judah) was only one off tonight. I think the headbutter took his role. The proper nasty youth was back so there was no fear of a bruising tonight. Oh, and Fiona was narrator. Less of a belter and much easier on the ears, and I prefer her outfits.
Fabulously indecent flash of the TWs and very hastily and discreetly covered with the sash by one of the handmaidens.
MUCH closer look at the stubble tonight – chest and belly area are ready for another wax or shave… CED last couple of notes I thought he was going to run out of steam... but he kept on at full whack… finished well after the orchestra did. Fan-bloomin-tastic! I got the pointed finger tonight from Dean – it was definitely me this time, because both gals either side turned to check me out (you know that look – the one that makes you doubly embarrassed). And felt like I should have put my arms out to catch Craig as he rushed to the edge of the stage to eat his corn on the cob… The AB coat was definitely very feminine this evening – designed by young Harriett (he called her Haley) from East London.
Oh – and a chap behind me said to his wife: “He’s very beautiful isn’t he? He reminds me of a young David E! Wife says (was clearly a through and through Loppy) “Don’t be daft dear… he was never this beautiful”.
And on that note… off to bed for another joyful sleep. Hope I get to catch up with everyone tomorrow…. Sleep tight(y whity) and sweet mead dreams.

A very quick hello before I go to w**k. Couldn't get on the blog last night, at my old lady's and the laptop was playing up. I was desperate for some Loppy talk after Wed night, and felt quite bereft. Not got time now so I'll catch up later.
I'll just share one thought with you, as I was looking at Lee, from my very advantageous position in the middle of RowA, one thought kept going through my mind, after Jan 10th I don't suppose we'll ever see his bare feet again, (how many theatre roles are there requiring bare feet?) Morning everyone (sigh) - oh hello BHB, why am I looking so sad? My laptop STILL isn't working - when I collected it last night I was told they had had to replace the main board as it was faulty. Plugged it in and it said I had about 6 mins of power left, so I sent a quick "e" to P2 and then left it to power up - it never did. No lights, no anything! So back we go to PC World this evening - I haven't had the darn thing a year yet - I got it at the end of December last year - aarrgghhhhhhhh!! So my evening in happily exchaning views with all the SLs never materialised...............oh that's nice he's giving me a big hug! On the plus side I am going to see Jo on Monday (Row A) and (whispers) on Thursday too...............(courtesy of MM). Martin lots of oooohhhhhmmmmmmsss for you. My boss (not the Baby Boss, the other one I've worked for for 20 years) told me yesterday his wife (who I know really well) has breast cancer, so some ohhhhmmmmmmssss for her too please. OK it's a dully cold day here so I think some nice warming porridge with cointreau cream will go down nicely, plenty of fresh fruit for those on a health kick pre Christmas, full English, choice of eggs, selection of cheeses and cold meats and plenty of Mimosa, Cham Cham and Bucks Fizz - cos I think we all need cheering up. OK I will just tiptoe into the kitchen with the BHB to discuss future menu changes (closes door firmly).

I know what you mean about his feet though. From up in the box I kept looking at his feet (as well as other parts of his body!! sorry I know it's a bit early) as they are one part I have never really seen before and I don't like feet (yes I know that sounds strange but I don't) but in his case I'm prepared to make an exception (I have an image of him barefoot, barechested, jeans, button opened, tousled curls.......sorry, I know I said it's too early but it's never too early!!........................................)

I'm back from Syd, and he's not happy, I'm not happy and the nurse is not happy.
I had a shock when I walked in, because the poor man looks as if he's gone 10 rounds with an angry Mike Tyson! He was in obvious pain, and told me he couldn't see anything at all. The nurse had been there earlier, and she had said he might have to go back to hospital. She'll be back at noon, and a decision will be made then. He didn't know whether an ambulance would take him or not, and asked if I would drive. He will have to go to the hospital in Ashford, and I don't know where that is. I've never been there, and I'm far from happy with the responsibility to drive him for 1 1/2 hours in the state he's in. If I have to, I will, of course.
His family? They are doing s*d all, as usual. His daughter rang while I was there, and asked to speak to me.:"Oh Eva," she purred,"I know you'll sort it". Then she hung up! The warden for the flats came in and said she would sit with him until the nurse came back, so I could scoot home and get my shopping in the freezer before it all melted.
So now I'm sat here, coming down to earth and back to RL with a big BANG! I'll let you know what happens.

Eva, before you take Syd to the hospital you need to make sure it's okay for him to sit upright. Some eye surgeries require the patient to remain lying down for an extended period afterwards. I'd certainly check with his doctor first. Ohms to him anyway. Glad you liked the link. Isn't he lovely?

Eva I'm so sorry, poor Syd lots of ohhhmmmms for him and I do hope they can sort it. Sounds to me they've done what the hospital dsid to my Mum last year and sent him home far too soon. Poor poppet. I also hope the ambulance will take him, they should, no question, but will probably ask if he can get there himself! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

oh Eva lots of oooohhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmss for Syd - I think his family want a severe talking to - I am happy to do it for you. Grrrrrrr!!! Did the nurse not suggest an ambulance for him? Beginning to despair of some elements of the NHS! Also, sorry Jo forgot to say it will be their loss and glad the tests are ok. I have just managed to break a tooth - rang the dentist and Receptionist asked me if it hurt - I said no, she said good as first appointment is 2.15 on Tuesday! That's just for a check up on what's wrong - I know what's wrong - the front of my tooth has cracked away! Then I'll have to make another appointment to go back and probably have a crown put on it. More grrrr!!!

Phew,- an ambulance has been arranged to take Syd to the hospital. I am so relieved. Whether they re-admit him or just examine him and send him back home, I don't know, but he promised to call me and tell me what is happening.

I can understand JB having a tour as he can pack them in but Rhydian (who I liked on XF)?? He's done nothing since coming second last year in the public eye at least so the tour promoters must be pretty confident of filling the venues. His debut album isn't out till Monday so who knows how its going to sell. I suppose with the Cowell machine behind you your're pretty OK though, he says SC rang him the day after the final offering him a record deal. Can't be bad. I do so hope that Lee gets a tour next year as he will have had 2 albums out but he he spoke of a 'couple of concerts' rather than a tour

I’ve still not come down to earth from the middle of Row A, right under his feet, and I swear he caught my eye more than once. He spoke to me in the evening scrum, when he signed my ticket our hands were touching, and I said thank you Lee, he looked up and said you’re welcome!! I thought I’d dreamt it, but Ro’s photo says I didn’t. Is it any wonder that I’m still floating somewhere up there?? I have never been so close to him. (Karen I know exactly what you mean.)
Sleep has not come easily these last two nights, and the worst of it was, I couldn’t talk to any of you. (Carol how must you be feeling?) Ploppy was very good and listened to my ramblings, but there is only so many times I can say to him ‘he SPOKE to me’

Syd is back from the hospital. I've been up to see him, and he seems much happier now. They gave him a complete check-up. Everything is fine, really. The pain is an after effect of the surgery, but they did give him some stonger painkillers. I saw him tucked in, and then I called his daughter. The upshot is that she is coming down here tomorrow and at least stay for the day. I think she finally realised how angry I was, and of course Syd is over the moon that she's coming.

Geri,- I think I've watched that video snutt 12 times! It's helped me through a difficult afternoon.

Maeve,- I'm shocked! You've booked another ticket! Now, I'd never do that. (I can hear the howls :What did we say about telling fibs?)

Sue1,- he spoke to you? Why didn't you say? (She did,- about a dozen times!) Oh yes,- it's a lifetime sentence, but a very pleasurable one, I think!

Hi - had a traumatic day or 2 so havent caugth up on grand day out or other shennanigans. My niece in traffic accident and had to have spinal tests as couldnt move but happily results clear. Didnt realise how worried i was till results came thro. went to work but have no idea what did (or more likely -didtn!). she really is fine now - bruised but up and about - amazing how quickly the young(er) can recover.

had one G and T to celebrate - off for another. Tho only downside is - means family reunion this weekend in kent still on - and so will have to wrap all my pressies - and then drive thro Sun snow. hmm def need my G and T now.

Just heard from Carol, her pooter has had a severe relapse and been readmitted to hospital (must be catching!). Unfortunately it will be there for about a week and a half. All visits welcome.

It's been a rough day, hasn't it? Sorry to hear about your neice, Fi. I hope she's okay now. Pauline, is there any chance they can just replace Carol's computer or trade it in for another one? Oh dear, I fell off cloud nine with a big bump! Not only have I been suffering from a severe case of post show blues but I seem to have come down with the dreaded lurghy and had to take to my bed this morning! It started with a sore throat when I woke up this morning, which I just put down to being due to all the whooping and cheering I was doing on Wednesdsay (that boy has a lot to answer for!!) but then the cough started and the banging headache and the aching limbs and shivers!! Just got up to have some coffee and toast and now I'm off back to my bed to dream of that gorgeous man of ours!

Only had a quick skim of today but seems lots of ohms are needed. So, ohhhmmmmmmmmmmm to all in need.

Cold here too...brrrrr. I'd decided to have a lie in today but was woken with some wonderfull news. One of my staff has given birth to her first child at6am (this after much heartbreak over the years of trying) all is well with Mummy and beautiful Daughter, Daddy is over the moon so I've prepared a jug cham cham and left it in the fridge - do help yourself!

Ohhmms winging their way to Yorkshire for you Karen. Scollops are feeling better today, I think the sight of snow first thing this morning helped! Right, better finish my work, I'm designing some posters for church services over christmas and I still need to email a dramatised reading I've adapted to someone else for approval. Poor ploppy just gets a list of dates and times so he knows where he has to be and what he has to do.

Hi all. I can tell you that Syd is feeling so much better. He's had a good night's sleep, Loppy ohms and his daughter visiting, so he's happy. The nurse has been in twice already today, and she is satisfied with his progress.

I've also been to Canterbury and spent more money! I never learn, do I? No, not Christmas presents, but some new clothes and other bits and pieces.

Jo4,- who's naughty? Moi? Certainly not! I'm doing this out of the goodness of my heart. When Sue1 told us that Himself had LOOKED at her from the stage, I knew he deserved another round of that look on her face, so that's why! I'm only thinking of Lee and Sue1's happiness! Selflessness is my middle name!

Suex,- congrats to your collegue with a brand new baby. Now, let's get serious here. Names are very important, so I've given it a lot of thought. I came up with the perfect solution : If it's a boy, LEE of course. If it's a girl, LEE of course. Easy peasy,- job done. No, the parents don't have to thank me.

I've been so productive this morning. I think the fact that I slept nine hours last night had a lot to do with it, but today I did a week's worth of studying, reviewed my tutorial timetable, reviewed my two assignments, and answered a dozen or so e-mails. Now I'm going to start work on chapter 15 and do another page of my R3 play.

I forgot to mention that last night I was just on my way to bed when Dollop called & told me to put on RTE. I did just in time to see Colm Wilkinson start to sing Bring Him Home. Stunning! He's just as brilliant as the first time I saw him about thirty years ago (he was Judas in JCS). Dollop had never heard him sing before and was properly impressed.

I know that last week I had several numbers on the lotto, but you think I can find that ticket??? another one that's put away safely, never to be found again. Ho hum.

Soggy food diet for a couple of weeks... temp cover on back tooth chipped this a.m. (so far not serious, but as can only get back to dentist in 2 weeks time!!! can't risk further damage). Thank goodness you don't have to chew wine.

Think i'll check the scrum vid again before I hit the shops.. just to give me that little boost...

Karen – my advice to see off a bad cold.
Wrap up warm, sip something soothing, find a gorgeous curly haired man to sing to you and drift off with thoughts of the NRHT’s in your mind. Repeat as often as possible adding some visual stimulation (for the retina’s – got to keep the eyes active to avoid severe headache) at least hourly. This worked wonders for me during my recent illness, although the NRHT’s had not been ahem……...discussed; I focussed on similar attributes;)

Fi – hope your niece is feeling even better today, rta’s can be so distressing, glad she is ok.
Ali - you always sound so busy - the cold cure is also good for relaxing at any time of day.

Auds – lovely to see you again the other day too but it all went by soooooo fast, as it does and you went back for more I see. Sensible loppy you are, I’m glad the headbutter is no longer a danger. Sorry to hear you have broken your tooth - remember to use a corkscrew next time :)

Hi all, I'm back in time for MSM. Good timing. Very chilly out today, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

One of the things I bought today, was a MP3 player, so now I'm sitting here first downloading a lot of music to my pooter so I can transfer it to the MP3 player. It is taking a loooooooong time to download all the music I want. I hope I can crack this.
I bought it because with all my travelling up and down to/fro London on the train lately, I could do with something to listen to. Why London? Well, you know, I'm sure.
In the meantime, it's time to get myself over to the SCD site, print out the new scorecard and do my Saturday job.

I've been to Henley on Thames, US somewhere, Cairo, Staffordshire and Nepal on the web so far for my Christmas shopping, not that I've bought from the foreign places, just amazing. In the time I would have been pushed to go to the local town and in a few shops I've travelled the world. All sitting next to the radiator, so I was nice and warm too, dc at my elbow (for a time I did have a kitten on the key board, but you can't have everything). And I did report on SCD. About an hour ago there was a knock at the front door and some just out of the oven bread pudding was delivered, so I didn't even need to cook any tea.

Jo4,- those neighbours of yours sound very kind. Bread pudding, eh? Lovely.
I can't understand the manual for transferring/uploading files to the player. I give up for now. I've been clicking and staring at the screen long enough.
Time for my tea. Tonight it's a seafood mix of prawns, crayfish tails and smoked trout with a homemade potato salad. Any takers?

Oh, forgot to say: For you DT lovers. Over on BBC2 at 9.10 he is in a play about Albert Einstein.

Well Eva I'd have got a few of those in one! Keep at it, I struggled for a while to understand my MP3 player but sort of got there in the end, though must admit I think it can do things I haven't even scratched the surface of yet!

Thanks for the heads up about the play, I am going to give it a go as I love AS as well.

Hello. Just time for a quick message as still w*rking!

Eva, I also had problems with my MP3 manual. What make have you got? Mine's Samsung; Ploppy has just bought a Samsung camera and he didn't get on with that manual either. I found it easier to disregard the manual and download via Windows Media Player. It's some time since I did this so can't recall off hand but if you still have problems, let me know - unless someone more techie than me can help.

I'm listening to ALW BIP with snoring from Ploppy in background. Not quite in tune!

Diana,- my player is Technika. I have downloaded the music to RealPlayer and transferred it to Removable Disc F on "My Computer", but the problem is getting it from there and to the player.
I will ring my nerd tomorrow and ask if he can help. If not, I'll get back to you.

Eva, I had trouble with mt MP3 player. It's a Samsung too Diana. Scollop showed me how to load it. It has a radio and can record, but I haven't got a clue how to do that. I would never have thought of having one if it wasn't for the GO.
Saw CO on lottery show. I promise never to call him that again if I win the jackpot. I believe he's recorded (or ruined) hits form the 60's on his album and is going on tour.

Eva I just had to play with my MP3 player, I found the instructions confusing too. Have you gone on line to see if there are clearer instructions anywhere. I just clicked about with mine and found out how to do it. I got so confused with the MP4 player ( good to watch vids instead of reading book in bed) I had to reset it to factory settings and start again.

It's been a quiet evening here on the blog, and since I'm retireing to my bed in a minute, it will be even quieter!

Got home from shopping just in time for the start of the match (the rugby match of course Wales v New Zealand) It was all going very well at half time so I switched over to SCD only for the blasted all blacks to score a try while two Welsh players were lying injured! (referee specsavers etc) Made our evening meal during Merlin, will watch the repeat tomorrow, then casualty. I was going to do the culture thing and watch DT but the writeups were not good and I have been following the darts all week - the semi-finals were great! Hello sweetheart. Oh, I do agree, breakfast in front of a blazing fire today is definitely on the cards. Come here and have a warming hug.( Any excuse will do!). It's your day off from the other job? There isn't much to do out of doors today, is there? Unless of course you go horse riding like some, or have a dog or two or a cat like some others. As mine is a strictly no-animal household, it will be "the home fires burning" today. Not that I've got anything against pets, (I grew up with dogs), but have never felt the need to have one myself. I like to doggie walk, but am happy to do it with friend's dogs. Then I can have all the pleasure and none of the bother. A bit like having grandchildren, I think. You can deliver them back when you're fed up. Mind, I have to borrow other people's grandchildren too!
Dear BHB! Here he comes, carrying a tray with a steaming mug of coffee, a plate with beautifully arranged smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and lovely smelling new baked rolls. What a treasure you are! Did anyone ever tell you that? All the Loppies? Well, they are right.

A miracle has happened during the night, (or last evening). My MP3 player was plugged in to the pooter for hours to charge the battery, and when I came down this morning I thought I'd switch it on just to familiarize myself with the displays. And what do you know? It showed that all the music I had tried to transfer, actually WAS transferred! ! ! ! ! How this happened, I have no idea, because I didn't understand the instructions, so didn't follow them. The only explanation I can think of, is that the files automaticly transmitted to the player as I moved them into Removable Disk, because the player was connected. I will try with a few more CD's later. IT science never siezes (sp?) to amaze me! Now I can do things without even knowing I'm doing them! Clever me!

Well done Eva, isn't technology amazing. I meant to tell you the other day I got an email from my (Cliffy) friend, she said the Row B tickets I booked (in error due to excitement) will be fine, phew. It would have been a shame to miss the experience, she'll just have to strain her head to see the rest of the show.

I have had an email from a loppy that has ordered a print and for the first time ever, we have been sending things via post office for years now her print has not arrived, poor thing, result have to repeat the exercice. Cant have a fan without our Go if they wish it and have paid.

Just been out to feed the birds, ground still crispy, most of the snow gone now and light sleet/rain falling (I didn't stop to find out which).
I hope poorly Loppies are feeling a bit better today, stay in keep warm, eat soft food (if appropriate) and do some important tasks (I don't mean hw) . Morning all, well it was so cold and miserable this morning I found it hard to motivate myself, so didn't! It was all snowy but has been raining since and the snow is gone, still miserable though.

Have to do a lot of sewing today, not my favourite thing, I got my Sloppy a few new pair of trousers, she is only 4ft 11" so they are always way to long for her and I have to take them up, sigh.

Morning. It was indeed white outside when I got up. Ploppy went to golf about 7.30 before it started but came home again about 30 mins ago. Looks brighter out now and the snow has nearly all gone. We're off to the dump in a mo in the hope that the weather has put people off and there won't be the usual 30 min queue. Finally getting rid of the old TV and video which have been on the kitchen floor for nearly 2 years! Bye for now.

What a totally miserable day! Fortunately only on the outside, as I have amused myself with making you all a little present to warm the coldest heart. Look in your mailbox, ladies!

I have spent most of the morning on the phone. Describing to my father the miserable weather, he said:"Oh, we're sitting on the terrace. It's lovely here!" I almost put the phone down! My youngest sister could report a beautiful winter's day there. -5 degrees, 50 cm snow (that's a lot to you inch people!)and bright sunshine. The Young Ones were out skiing. Juan loves to ski now, and can even stay upright down steep slopes!
I hope it's better tomorrow, because then I have to brave the elements....all the way to the train station. As soon as I get inside the Adelphi and in my seat in ROW A, I don't care what the weather is like.

I had planned to listen to my new MP3 player on the train. I still might, if I can figure out to get the earplugs into my ears! I wonder what size ears the earplug designer has? They are so big, that it's impossible to force them inside! I know it sounds ridiculous, but I might have to invest in a new pair. They now rest precariously at the edge of my ears, but the slightest move of my head, and the plugs fall down!

Have pricked my finger at least four times but 3 pair of trousers are now shorter, thank goodness.

Evening. Brrrr it's been freezing here today. We had a bit more snow overnight but I decided to drive up to church as I was running a bit late. During the service it snowed heavily and made driving home treacherous. It didn't help that part of the one-way system in town was closed and instead of following the diversion signs some idiots decided to go the wrong way up the one-way street!! I nearly lost control of the car too-I braked gently at a junction and didn't think I was going to stop, my heart was in my mouth. Got to work ok though. Just waiting for ploppy to serve dinner then I'm settling down in front of SCD and having an early night.

Treacherous journey to kent yesterday - had to go back after first 10 mins to escort scollop to his football match (which they didnt cancel -mad fools!)as roads very slippy and I did worry for scollop (and OK my car too)driving in such slippy roads. Journey back went like a dream but on one there I counted 8 ambulances whizzing up and down + umpteen police cars - tho only saw one accident.

Since it's a Monday, let's make it simple. Yes, we'll have it in front of the blazing fire. (Giving him another hug for the fire. As I've said befor: Any excuse will do!) Coffee, scrambled eggs on toast, the azur winter blanket, newspaper, you with your arm around my shoulder...who can want anything else just now?

My hotel voucher for the hotel on Madeira came today, so now the holiday there looks all the closer. I'm really looking forward to that. It's a place I've been wanting to go for years, but I have always prioritized family , so it's been Norway or Spain. This time I decided to really treat myself, especially since it's a big birthday (I know, 27 + + + + +), and when turning that corner, I need something to cheer me up!
Also looking forward to seeing Fi and her Ploppy there for a few days. That's an extra bonus.

I'd better start the ball rolling here. I'm going in on the 11.15 train. Since I'm staying overnight again at SP, I might as well be early and use the hotel room! Meeting some soul sisters at Stranded beforehand. I'm looking forward to see the face of the waiter! I'm sure they'll ask us to move in permanently one of these days!

Secondly, thank you Lady Jane for the messages on Saturday (phone was on charge so picked them up quite late) - am considering my position so to speak!! Thirdly, Auds do you think it something to do with the area of West London that we live in that we both have teeth problems! Managed to survive the weekend eating on one side of my mouth but avoided any foods I thought might be a danger. Hoping tomorrow they will put something temporary on - sure it will be a new crown (just before Christmas too!! Arrgghh!). Lots of ooooooohhhhhhhhmmmmmmmssss for anyone that needs them (Boss's wife in for her op on 1st December btw). Watched SCD - thought Tom should have got a 10 - what's wrong with the judges that they don't want to give him one! In the group dance he actually moved much better than Austin - it was quite interesting to see them side by side, so now I am upping my VOTE FOR TOM campaign! Now let me think, something happening this evening, sure I will remember later! OK BHB time to look at the breakfast menus - due to dental problems I think we need to have lots of soft dishes on, so porridge with whisky cream, scrambled egg with following options - grilled mushrooms, grilled bacon, smoked salmon. Cold meats, variety of cheeses (including soft), plenty of flavoured breads (no toast for me and Auds alas), fresh fruit and of course the usual supply of Speciality Coffees, Smoothies, Cham Cham, Bellinis and Mimosas. Right BHB grab that nice pink fluffy blanked and we'll retire to the kitchen - bye everyone (closes door very firmly).

Hello! Well saw Jonathan Ansell show last night and it was actually pretty good! Heres abit of gossip for you, he invited his girlfriend on to the stage and then went down on one knee and proposed to her! Luckily she said yes! It was very sweet. I also saw something else at the London Palladium I really didnt expect to see - a MOUSE!! Just as we were going to our seats in the Royal Circle, something moved in the corner of my eye and when i looked I saw a pair of little brown furry legs running off under the seats!! EEEK! I told the ice cream attendent and she didnt seem terribly surprised! I am off to the Palladium again on Thursday to see the Sound of Music which should be good and I can finally say I have 12 sleeps to go before I see Joseph! Have a fab time everyone going tonight!

Just heard -- there's a press call on Wednesday where Lee's successor as Joseph will be announced. So expect loads of press coverage Wednesday and/or Thursday...

Hello all back from the windy South Coast.
Ploppy and I have been looking after his Sloppy, she has just has a cancerous lump removed from one leg and a mole from the other, but she is amazingly resilient at 98 she still is trying to resist extra help from the Carers, we tried to say even if they come in for a chat and a cup of tea hopefully she will listen.
Karen sorry to hear you are not well, and oooohhhhmmms for anybody else who needs them, I will try to catch up at some point.

It really makes me looking forward to the 10th but also sad that it will be the last time.
But first I am going to the Dutch Joseph on 11th December. They had the first try-out Saturday.
Everything went great and there are already raving reviews. It is quite a different version than the English Joseph so I am really looking forward to it now see what they have made of it.

So Wednesday we get to hear whom the next Joseph will be!! He must be very brave.

Morning, morning - well first of the A Rowers reporting in. Met up with P2 at Oxford Circus and then, timing being all, we arrived just in front of Stranded at the same time as Aunty Eva. Did the important thing first and checked out the cast list - phew! His name was there (honestly folks I don't know what I would have done with P2 if he hadn't been performing.............)! Went into Stranded and whilst sipping a glass of wine were looking at our calendar photos. The nice waitress (one we had for Lee's birthday those of you that were there) saw the pictures and fell in love with the calendar - she told us she has a poster of Lee in her bedroom, but sadly hasn't seen the show. I am now going to run off a calendar for her! Young, frozen Jo4 then arrived and downed two cups of hot coffee - it being somewhat cold outside. Just after 7pm we made our way to our seats - A26, 25, and 24. Jo was in the row behind in seat 20. Now sadly there were two empty seats next to me (I think they must just have been non-shows as when Jo tried for A she was told it was full) - still it did mean that Jo could join us for the second act. Lights dim, P2 getting very, very excited - I leave you to imagine quite how much - children on, Fiona on. Now I like Fiona's voice better than Jenna's - not such a hard edge to it and her portrayal of the role is softer too, but I think Jenna is actually more authoritive on stage. Anyway there we are ignoring the on stage action and gazing at the spot where he was due to appear....and there he was! Much squealing Lady J!! Show as brilliant as ever - GO as wonderful as ever. CED fantastic. Dean reverted to saying "hound dog" rather than "teddy bear". One of our group was lucky to receive the scarf (but I'll leave the telling to her!). Proper Benjamin so no fear of a head butt - all went off smoothly. In the Megamix when Craig and the Apache Dancer are doing thier mid air pose, Simeon said he was going to tickle Craig - never heard that before! Anway after the show there was a very small scrum and we thought he might not come out, but he did. No photos handed out, just signed whatever we had. Can't wait to go again (sigh) - that would be Thursday then!! OK BHB sorry I'm babbling on but I went to see the show last night - oh you know? Well it was very very good (oh look he's blushing, wonder why?). Cold here again today so more porridge I think, plus kedgeree, full English, but also Veggie option, Eggs a la mode, plenty of breads, special coffees, Bellinis, Cham Chams etc. - enjoy. As I am at the dentist this afternoon (groan) I just need to take this blanked of P2's (sure she won't mind, it's the nice fluffy pink one again) and retreat to the kitchen with the BHB (closes door firmly).

Morning all, sorry to be so long reporting in, but it has taken me all this time to recover my equilibrium! Anyway I see Carol has done a really good report, so will just add my bit.

Really tried to hold back on my excitement after the disappointment last time, but it was no good. Can't tell you the relief to see his name on the board when we went to look. I really felt I could relax a bit then. We had a lovely dinner in Stranded, Carol and I shared a very nice bottle of PG, there's a surprise! So into the theatre and our seats. I was really amazed at the different feel of them, I have been in Row B, for Rickys' performance and thought it would be about the same, but it isn't. I really felt I was almost on the stage. Oh when he descends through the 'clouds' it was magic and in fact the magic didn't end until, well it hasn't yet really. It was a priviledge and I don't think our charming box office guy who replaced our tickets lead us astray, they are the best seats in the row I'm sure. Lee is right in front of you for so much of the show and, phew, nobody warned me about the, ummmmm, extras that you get!! If I say TWS' I'm sure you get the idea! Must just get my fan! The only thing Carol didn't mention I can recall at the moment, was that at the start of the second ADWD Lees' mike failed. We could hear him, and lovely it was too, but I shouldn't think they could at the back! Fortunately it suddenly came back before he got to the money notes. The conductor stopped the children singing while it was malfunctioning, so that helped a bit. No one stood during the megamix but everyone did when he came down on the cherry picker. They got a great reception as always. I was really worried when I saw how small the scrum was, as I thought he might not come out, but bless he did, wearing his beanie hat,(how can that man make a beanie look so good?) it was very short and sweet, but at least I got my copy of Aunty Evas calendar signed. Carol had very kindly laminated it for me, thoughtfully leaving the front cover so it could be signed, and it looks fantastic!

Think that is about it, though I'm sure Eva will remember some other bits, and it wasn't me that got the scarf!

Sorry to go on, but that was one of the best nights ever. Will post and hope it doesn't get lost, then float off on my fluffy cloud again!

Carol and Pauline – can I ask where the restaurant ‘Stranded’ is and what it does? I am going with my Mum on 30 Dec and we will need to have something to eat before hand. She is notoriously picky so if you could let me know that would be great! We tend to go in Pizza Hut but something nicer would be good! Thanks!!

Alib Stranded is next door to the Adelphi, on the Charing Cross side, easily spotted by the aluminium chairs outside, so what you might call very convenient! It is an Italian restaurant, but it does do quite a few English style things as well, and also a pre show menu. I think the food is good and the staff are lovely. very understanding when you want to exit suddenly at 7pm! Hope this helps.

Hello all, didn’t manage to get back last night, we had a power cut. All our electrics were on half power, dim lights kettle taking ages to boil, so I rang to see if there was a problem, turned out something had come adrift on the pole outside, so we had to be turned off until the fault could be fixed. We had ten minutes notice so we quickly got ready for bed at nine o’clock!! (Normal for Ploppy, but unusual for me,) The engineers woke us up at half past eleven, they need to check our fuse box!

I was delighted to have various text conversations with the Row A'ers last night. It was fun to 'almost' be there.. Thank you for that Eva, Jo, Carol & P2. I was impressed that Pauline was still able to manage the texting after her first FRE and the lashings of TWs.

I got in to the see the dentist today - and he's repaired the temp covering so I can enjoy a nice cold spritzer or a steaming hot coffee without any pain. Phew. Final visit scheduled for next week. (I hope he doesn't eat his peanut butter sandwiches before my appointment though.. not like he did today - well I did go in his lunch break).
Thought this lull in workload was too good to be true.. I don't know why I look forward to the boss being away, my workload always seems to double when she is. Where is that lotto ticket?? I need to retire - early retirement of course.

ME ME ME ME! ! !
I got the scarf from Dean! As he came to that part of his song, he moved closer to the edge of the stage, nailed me with his look and kept it there! I was in absolutely no doubt that the scarf would be thrown to me! When I grabbed it, I blew him a kiss too. I'm sure Lee wouldn't mind sharing!
I'll tell you something: It's just as well Lee doesn't do something similar during the show, because if I'd had eye contact with Himself for so long and so intensely, I would have fainted on the spot!

I think Pauline and Carol have told about the important bits from the show. It was nice to have Adam back as the Baker and the usual Benjamin too. At least he doesn't try to kill GO!
The brothers and wifes had their usual fun interplay. It's a real delight to see how well they go together, and how they still seem to have a lot of fun, even after all this time.
It was so nice to see and hear Fiona again as The Narrator. Her style is very different from Jenna's, and I must say I prefer Fiona.
Lee had plenty of stubble round his navel and below (Phew! Yes, I looked AliB.)Lots of hair on legs, which is how it should be. There was a bit of what looked like sticky tape on his shin for a little while, bit otherwise he was his usual gorgeous self! TWs? Oooooooooohhhhhhhh YES!
When he first came out on stage in the Potiphar scene, I let out a Whops! (I love the first sight of the loincloth!) and the lady on my left looked sideways at me. No, not Pauline....I'm sure she was whopping too. That's when he tugs the "skirt" down.

The scrum was very, very civilsed. The doorman barely had to go through the scrum rules. He looked around and said:"You've all been here before!" which of course we had. When Lee came out, I managed to get one photo before he was in front of me, and I held out the calendar to be signed. He did, with a nice signature. Then he was gone, but not before he had recognised Carol! Oh yes, he did!

Our lovely Carol had had the calendar printed and laminated for herself, Pauline and me, and the wonderful Ploppy of the Year had paid for the laminates! Stars they are!

Hello. That was good timing. Yes I am going next Tuesday Diana and I can't wait. Who else is going? I've only had a quick scan and I'm getting the impression panic has set in and there has been a rush of loppies booking extra visits before the 10th. I don't blame you at all. I'm glad boxfesters and Row Aers had a good time.

My bosses have gone away today for 2 weeks. Hoorah. Having said that potentially that might mean I'm even busier than normal but lets hope not.

I had a long weekend to try and use up some of my remianing holiday leave for this year. I did some Christmas shopping and it was reasonably successful. Also went to see the James Bond film. Has anyone seen it? I'm not sure I really got it. I couldn't work out if the baddies got caught or whether it's going to carry over into the next film. I was quite disappointed because lets face it James Bond films aren't meant to be that taxing. And there is no humour in them now.

Asked the printer how many prints done so far he said 32 not bad not all were sales but still plenty of time.
I am very surprised that coats are not having more money on ebay. I am now a bit worried that we will not make a very good sum when special print goes on. Ah well any crumbs will be good.
I did put a bid for the coats to try and up the funds thank heaven someone beat my bidding.

Alison - I have seen the new Bond film and enjoyed it. However the plot made no sense to me either and various bits of it went way over my head! If you look on Wikipedia it has the synopsis of the plot if that helps!! It also helps if you remember what happened in Casino Royale which I didn't. Daniel Craig is always worth an ogle though and I went to see it mainly because of him!

Well, did I enjoy last night? I had a nice chat with Anonymouse and her dollop. They were sitting in RA, just in front of me. Dollop got ticket really recently, so how I wasn't sold a RA ticket I don't know, unless hers was a return. Anyway, didn't matter, as I was quite OK with RB, so I had to be really strongly persuaded to move in the interval ;)
It was a wonderful show. Spoke to SueF afterwards, she was there at the boxfest and stayed over last night. Making the 'most' of the last weeks.
Carys-I got fan signed for SueL. I just need to personalise the fan, then I'll send it.
My favourite bit from last night, when his microphone failed it was so sweet, as it was the very beginning of the reunited bit with Jacob, which is really quiet anyway, so the rest of the theatre couldn't hear, (my selfishness comes out) I didn't care a bit.
Sorry I didn't answer my 'enjoy' question. Oh, yes.

I'm giving up! I came home with a whopping headache, took a couple of painkillers and it faded a bit. Now my throat is starting to tickle and my nose to bung up. The theatre bug has struck again, I think.

Eva, sorry to hear you're the latest with the lurgy. Hope it's not a bad dose. Hope Geri's OK. Ohhhmmmms to you both, Karen and other poorly Loppies. Everytime I sneeze or my throat's sore, I start panicking I'm coming down with a cold and keep praying not now please, wait until after my last visit even if it means I'm ill on holiday, though preferably not till we're back. Promise I won't complain (much) if I'm ill 2nd half of Jan.

Well Ploppy didn't hate Joseph but neither was he enthralled - I didn't really expect him to be. He called it "bizarre" (meaning the French & calypso scenes and especially end of first half). Think he was somewhat impressed with Lee & Jenna's voices.

I certainly enjoyed it and would you believe I saw something I've never seen before - when the brothers crowd round Joseph pleading for Benjamin, Craig leaps up a couple of stairs. Jo - guess who I bumped into outside, they were in Row A. We were in the dress circle so couldn't see the rear stalls or upper circle but there were quite a few empty seats, including one next to me. The four boxes were also empty! If I hadn't been with Ploppy I'd have been tempted to sneak in one.

Good show, Himself gorgeous as ever, no sweat. His voice sounded a little husky to me at the start but fine later. Full cast - it was good to have Tom & Adam back. Jenna her usual self too - looking forward to Fiona on Thursday. Didn't see anything go wrong - it's ages since the cup was broken. I didn't scrum, didn't even ask Ploppy if he'd mind staying as I was a bit tired and it was so cold - there's still Thursday (I hope).

...well talk about come down to earth with a bang - Monday night Row A heaven, yesterday afternoon an hour and a half in the dentist's chair having tooth drilled out and temporary crown put in place - have to go back next week to have the proper crown put on. All this agony (and a swollen face) for £200 - yes I know! I know! I could get four tickets for that!!!!! Ohhhhmmmmmmssssss for Aunty Eva, Diana and anyone else who needs them, well done to Chantale's Ploppy, those going tonight have a wonderful time (as if not!). OK BHB let's see what we have for breakfast today - needs to be something soft again - scrambled eggs avaiable with grilled sausage, bacon, mushroom or tomato, hash browns, saute potatoes, black pudding, or just as they are. Plenty of soft fruits, soft breads (sorry no crusty bread available today), pancakes with bacon and maple syrup or mushroom with white wine sauce. Meusli definitely not on today. Usual smoothies, special coffees and Bellinis, Cham Chams and Mimosas - enjoy! Just going to take the BHB into the kitchen to discuss further suggestions (tut - of the menu kind!). Will just close the door but before doing (whispers see you tomorrow SueX - didn't want LinX to hear!!).

Next Monday is World Aids Day and that's what the H of C's tea is all about. A friend of mine set up a charity in South Africa dedicated to Aids Education using drama, to which I contribute a tiny amount each month and the tea is for supporters, Chris Smith is hosting the event for them.
Kim has managed to enrol an impressive list of Patrons, Judi Dench, Richard E Grant, Janet Suzman, Desmond Tutu among them, Richard Attenborough hosted last year's do for her.

Well I can't say I'm surprised. Gareth fits the requirements - he can sing, he's not bad looking, has a fan base and the issue of clashing with the pantomime has been resolved with him not starting till later. He's probably the best TPTB could get. I won't be going to see him but I wouldn't have gone whoever it was. Wonder if Ricky will play Joseph in between.

We're just back from the press call at the Adelphi. Lalayn's writing up the web story, and Anna (who's on work experience with us this week) will be writing a blog post over on our Newsblog. I may have some photos of Gareth and Lee together, depending on if I can find a lead to connect my camera to my computer (I was a complete numpty and left my own lead at home)...

There was a Q&A afterwards with Gareth; unfortunately Lee didn't hang around.

I am pleased that its Gareth and that all the speculation is over but it is very odd seeing Gareth in the coat.

On a different totally superficial note - Lee is wearing that lovely pink shirt - I saw him wear it in the scrum once(when i smelt his aftershave!!)and he looks gorgeous.

I notice the article says Lee is leaving to take on more theatre roles and promote his music career. I hope that's right and that it is theatre not TV. Much as I would love to see him on TV, it won't be the same as going to see him in person whenever we want!! Very selfish of me, I know!!

Karen, I hope Lee is going to do some TV work during the first half of 2009, I'd love to see him doing more acting. Guest roles in Spooks and similar high profile drama series would be brilliant. But I do hope he'll be back in the theatre later in the year. And I'm desperately hoping for a few concerts in the spring.

Boo hoo - the excitement of plans for Jan 10 begins to turn to depression...
Diana - linky queen extraordinaire!! you even beat Scott Dear to the post. The first photos looked like our darling boy had had a severe haircut! My heart sank. But the later photos showed it to be not the case. phew. I can't bear to look at the pics of GG in the GO's coat. Diana, at the end of the WOS press release it sais the RR would cover the 4 weeks until GG finishes panto.
So far so good with the temporary cover - like Carol says, no crunchy cereal for a while.
Maeve, I certainly hope you don't show yourself up at the HoC on Monday. Slurping and dribbling from a teacup just isn't done.

I think GG should have a new coat made and Lee should keep the current one. There is a precedent as both JD and PS did! That way that coat will always be 'his'!

Auds,- yes, I think it is the lurghy, but it shouldn't be. I had the flu jab a month ago. Something similar happened last year, but then it only lasted for 3 days, maybe because of the jab. I'm feeling quite fragile,with a fever too, so I'm feeling very, very sorry for myself. It's the "nobody-loves-me" sorry for myself mood, so thank you for encouraging e-mails ang ohms here on the blog. They certainly help!

The BBC London news had a piece on Gareth taking over including an interview with him. It started with couple of clips of Lee as Joseph and also showed the pics of both. I've recorded it (I think).

I also found some footage of the last performance of Freek at Les Mis. They gave him a speech saying that they all knew he would be the favourite for Joseph; they are sad he is going but wish him all the luck. Had to drop in again I was watching the interview with Gareth poor boy he was so nervous his stammer came through again ,but what he said was he exchanged phone munbers with the Go ... so girls our mission our loppy mission kidnap Gareth and make him reveal his number !!!!!oooooo me is wicket.

Hello sweetheart. No, stay away today too. Still a bit feverish and fuzzy. I did have a decent night's sleep, and that helps. The cold seems to have stopped in it's tracks, so getting better in that department. We have to save the snuggling for my first fever free morning, OK? That is one savings account I really like.
It's been very quiet here this morning. Diana has been in for one of her quick visits I see, but no JaneE and no Geri. Oh dear, of course it's not you! I'm sure they miss you like mad. You'll have to save for them too.
I the meantime, I think we'll still err on the cautious side when it comes to the breakfast, so a piece of toast and a coffee will be all, please. I have to feed my diabetes. If I don't, all h**l breaks loose! The last thing I need is a hypo.

Need to escape here - weather yeuch, work yeuch (too much of it, Ch.....s sh.....g to do - yeuch , world politics yeuch, economic situation yeuch and ooohms neded for eldest scollop. He is in depths of despondency as in his last year at uni and after loads of applications had just got an interview for a national graduate traineeship in very firm he wanted. This week they wrote to say whole traineeship cancelled due to economic situation. So no job - and in his view the end of any hope of finding a job - mind you a glass half empty is his view of optimisitic:). Dont envy the students coming out of uni, or school,trying to find non existent jobs. I just need broad shoulders for all the sobbing on them he is doing at moment.

Good morning everyone and oooooohhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmms for everyone who needs them, including Aunty Eva, who most definitely is loved, and Fi's eldest scollop - really feel for him. I don't envy anyone seeking work at the moment. Listened to the 6am news and it was all doom gloom and world disaster, then I opened the Metro and there was GG wear THE COAT! However, on the plus side, face not so swollen today (just as well as I have a hot date later this evening), and of course I am going to see the show tonight!! OK BHB time for breakfast menus I think - lots of fresh fruit to give necessary Vit C to those in need, eggs benedict, eggs florentine, scrambled egg with smoked salmon, mushrooms a la mode, selection of breads, bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese, various cold cooked meats and selection of cheeses - enjoy. Now having my daily debrief with the BHB (careful, careful!), oh he is trying to tell me he will be seeing me later.....perhaps his evening job is waiting in Stranded??? Come along BHB, we'll borrow one of P2's blankets, I know she won't mind - there's a nice lilac one here.............(firmly closes door!).

Eva - glad you had a good night and are feeling a little better.

I had the worse night so far. Ploppy got up this morning grumpy (and not gorgeous!) so I asked why. Now, bear in mind that he keeps me awake most nights with his snoring, and he tells me he's grumpy because I kept him awake all night with my coughing!! Poor love!!!!!!!! Problem is, we've converted the spare room into a dressing room and got rid of the spare bed so there's nowhere to kick him into!

Just had another Grrr! moment too. Finally decided I'd better listen to Ploppy and parents (and you K2) and go to the Doctors as I've had this lurghy for a week now and it's just not improving. The system at our GP surgery is rubbish - you can only make appointments within a 48 hour timescale and then it's like trying to book an audience with the Pope, it's so difficult to get appointments. So, I rang first thing this morning and they have no appointments within the next 48 hours. They do have some available on Monday but, as it's more than 48 hours away, they can't give me one yet. So, I have to ring again in the morning and hope that they're still available!! That means I'll have to go all weekend with the virus, or whatever is, and I had hoped to be rid of it by Monday so I can get back to work!! It also means that I'll have to make the appointment assuming that I still need it by Monday and if not, I'll have to ring and cancel at which point they usually give you an earbending for wasting their time! Grrrr!!

Fi - how awful for your scollop. Lots of ohmmms to him and to you for your "broad shoulder".

Not had the TV or radio on yet so haven't heard the headlines but obviously something else bad has happened! What a horrible time all round at the moment.

Karen,- you have a conservatory, don't you? A camping bed in there should be fine for your Plppy! At least it'll stop him complaining. (Please don't tell him it was my idea. He's my friend and protector as you know!)
I though surgeries had to give you an appointment within 48 hours. Mind you, the booking system you mention, was in place in my old surgery, and it was absolutely horrible just trying to get an appoinment over the phone. The easy way was to be standing outside their doors as they opened in the morning, but then that's not exactly what you want to do when you're feeling rotten, is it?
I'm having hopes that this is a mini-lurghy like the one I had last year. I will be careful and stay in bed for another day.( Wonderful things, laptops!)
I just had an e-mail from the apartment hotel where I'll be staying over Christmas. I e-mailed them and asked if their wireless service cost extra (Horrible memories of SP's £6 an hour!), and the answer is "Of course we don't charge anything for the service". That's the kind of thing I like to hear, so my laptop is coming with me to Spain.

Carol,- your poor face! Is your date this afternoon with a married man or something equally exciting? Yes, I know where you're going tonight. THAT date should make you forget all about toothache!

Fi,- you might be small in stature, but your shoulders are surely broad ( and turquoise!) enough for your scollops tears to fall on. Poor lad. I don't envy anyone having to look for work these days.

Karen that sounds like a typical Doctors you can't get an appointment till you are better, although at our Surgery now, you can see a Nurse if you have what is called a minor illness,which is handy, when I had a really bad cough earlier in the year I was able to see her straight away.

Karen my sister's old surgery was like yours, she's now at the same one as me which has allowed me to make an appointment for January (although if you want an urgent appointment you can usually get one) Oohhmms heading oop north for you.
Youngest scollop is home today as he had an attack of croup during the night and is still wheezy this morning, although otherwise well and eating me out of house and home!
Fi I really feel for your scollop, similar thing happened to me when I was graduating (many moons ago) and made me think my 3 years at uni were a waste of time!

Fi my sympathies are with you and your scollop. I too was in a similar position when I graduated and spent a year partly working in a shop and signing on when they didn't want me in the shop. It was so depressing. Having said that a couple of months ago my parents were having a clear out and found some of my old diaries and one of them was for that year. It had me howling with laughter. To say I was wallowing in feeling sorry for myself at the time is an understatement. I was such a little drama queen. My poor parents!

I made a concious decision to avoid the news some months ago. When I get in from work I watch It Takes Two. When I started doing it I did think are you really going to watch this every evening until Christmas but I have and I'm glad I did. RL is overlapping with lots of current news stories so I don't need it.

This is quite sad but I'm being made very happy at the moment by the fact that an orchid someone bought me at the begining of the year is reflowereing. I've never managed that with an orchid before. It is sat on the window at work and I talk to it everyday and I'm getting lots of pleasure from it. I should really get out more!

Well one site was refused the Bossiney one but the travalga one has another site meeting that will be a Poo with a view if it gets passed, very sad indeed. It will not affect us so much but those who live on the other side of our hamlet they will have full view of it and on the main coastal road from Tintagel to boscastle. Well, back again.
We got to theatre and took our seats, in the middle of row B
Although I'd seen pictures of GO giving the coat to GG and knew he'd done the matinee, I was still nervous until the orchestra struck up and the choir came on stage. As soon as the overture starts I want to cry. Then GO appeared, and he is so beautiful!Such a great experience to be in row B. I don't think I took my eyes off him while he was on stage. Everyone was in their own role. There was no sweat in CED. Plenty of the Tighty Whities. Even saw Jennas! During the Pharoah scene GO trod on a button or something from someone's costume and gave it to the Butler. I found a tear running down my cheek when Joe reunites with Jacob.
The second CED was awesome. No-one stood in the MM but everyone was clapping. Ploppy and I and some other Loppies stood when he was on the cherry picker, and so did the rest of the audience.
When we got home I said I didn't think the cast had gone down the aisles during the MM. Ploppy laughed and assured me they had! I was too busy watching the stage.
The only downside of the evening was there were only about 6 of us for the scrum, so there wasn't one. I'd trained Ploppy to take video on my camera too! And my fan remains unsigned.
I must have one of the best Ploppies though as he said I could book some more tickets for his next day off - 9/12.
So guess what I've just done? Got row E.
Ploppy was looking at Jenna, he quite likes her, so I was free to gaze at GO, probably with a stupid look on my face.
Still looking forward to my row A experience in Jan.
Sorry I've waffled on.

I've checked ebay and at least 3 of the coats were bought by people who look like they are related to the designers. I was rather naughty last night and did a bit of bidding. Went to bed with the thought that my bid for the one we saw in the afternoon (with the fraying hem line) was the winning one. Luckily I was out bid before it closed at 9 this morning. I was rather nervous just now checking if I'd won. Phew, that was not my favourite coat.
I've voted on the Sky poll.

Karen, don’t talk to me about doctors, I can remember a time when they were there to look after us when we were sick, come out to visit if necessary, even in the middle of the night, you could count on a familiar face. I think most of them now want to earn their not inconsiderable salaries, by doing as little as possible.

Alison love your orchid story, I don’t think you’re sad at all, I have a goosefoot plant which comes from the original that was a gift for looking after my little godson when he was a baby, nearly twenty years ago, I treasure it.

Lots of ohhmmmms to Geri - we miss you!

Only time for a quick review I'm afraid. Great show last night. There were a lot of first timers so much laughter and all the stalls stood at the end. Box A was wonderful - nothing much to choose between A&D, each have different good points ie special views. Only got a flash of the TWs last night but oh he was gorgeous, in fine voice and HE CLOCKED US! There was one moment when Lee looked right at the four of us in the box - really looked at us which he doesn't often do on stage. A few of the brothers also looked up at various times - the other boxes were empty so I guess we stood out, we weren't exactly quiet either. Very little sweat but definite hair on his tummy, not just stubble gulp! Fiona was lovely, she really gets involved whereas Jenna acts the same every time. No Simeon last night (he was there on Tuesday) so Russell did Canaan Days - 2nd time I've seen him and he was so funny. He doesn't have the voice of the regular (still DK the actor's name) but makes up for it in other ways.

The scrum was a little busier than recently. Suex had bought four packs of chocolate buttons so we all presented them to Lee at the same time - so he stopped with us for a moment. Got my ticket signed. I had my camera on a different setting and it looks like got a couple of good shots but won't be certain till I download. If they're any good, I'll send to Martin over the weekend.

Great news re RSC. It'll be something to look forward to when we come back from holiday - usually I've had a Joe visit to look forward, sadly no longer.

Hopefully the others will fill in the gaps - C&P when exactly did Lee look at us? Sue & I were so overcome, we can't remember the scene!

BYW if you're passing through Charing Cross station, stop and take a look at what's opposite the train board.

Morning all, sorry to be so long getting round to this. Well what a fantastic week I have had! Row A and then the box last night. As Diana has said Lee was on great form and the show was brilliant. The best thing about the box is you can really let rip and enjoy yourself without upsetting people behind you, and believe me we all did! As Diana said we made so much noise at one point Lee actually looked up at us and gave a sort of half smile, and all of us just melted, well as you all know it doesn't take much! It shows the tiz it put me in as I'm not sure exactly when it was either, it was in the first half quite early on, and Lee had been singing, hence our whooping, so could have been at the end of ADWD? But not sure, maybe Carol will have better recall. It was great that so many of the audience were first timers as the laughter definitely lifts the cast, we must try to laugh a lot at the last performances, as I think most of the audience will have seen the show a few times! The scrum was a lot busier than Mondays' but at least you know he'll do one when it is like that. Poor Kathleen, fingers crossed for next time (nice ploppy) and glad that you enjoyed the show. Well you would wouldn't you! It was heaven when we gave him the buttons he first said 'oh hello' (a bit of recognition I think!) then'I have to get into a loincloth you know!' Oh don't we just know it!!!!!!! Wonderful evening, thanks to Diana, Sue and Carol for sharing it!

Well, I finally managed to make an appointment at the doc's for Monday morning!! I hope I don't need it by then, if you know what I mean! Although, the virus is still not showing signs of improvement and I've now got a rash on my face and a boil in my armpit!! Oh, woe is me, I do feel sorry for myself don't I!!

....phew! Busy playing catch up from yesterday! Had a lovely time yesterday - lunch with married man (and P2 as chaperone) then off to CG for a stroll around the shops/stalls (busy selecting pressies which Ploppy could buy me....)then on to Stranded, meeting up with SueX and Diana and then the Box! As Pauline says rather spoilt this week with the A Row experience and the A Box both the same week. Lovely to hear all the first timers really laughing at the jokes and funny parts. Two swings in for two of the brothers - as Diana said not the usual Simion so Russell sang it instead. One of the swings was (I think) the headbutting stand in Benjamin from the last Boxfest! GO as wonderful as ever - little trickle of sweat in CED - which was gorgeous. Sadly the tws on Mrs P's bed not so on view as last time. No microphone failure last night - in fact think everything as it should have been - Dean was back to "ask this teddybear" in place of the "ask this hound dog" which we got on Monday. And yes he did see us and smile - I thought it was when he was about to Go Go Jo.........and of course he spoke to us when we handed the choccie buttons over (thanks Sue!)! Didn't even attempt to get any photos, but did have my ticket signed. Did we mention he was looking gorgeous?? OK BHB I see you have been doing sterling work in my absence - breakfasts all ready. We didn't see you at the restaurant last night?? Oh dear he is looking a bit huffy again. Think I'd better take him into the kitchen and calm him down! OOOOhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmsss for Karen, Geri, Maeve's teeth and anyone else in need! Alison I loved the orchid blooming - something beautiful happening in an increasingly gloomy world - wonderful! Hello! I was at the theatre last night too! Sadly not at the Adelphi but back at the mouse house - the London Palladium! Went to see The Sound of Music. I enjoyed it but some parts of it were quite bizarre! The 'mountain' is this weird sphere that pivots and when it first comes down was squeeking!! Very odd. Summer Strallen is OK but I would have preferred to see Connie. Summer has abit of a harsh tone to her voice and when she grins she looks like her auntie Bonnie Langford! Her performance was abit mannered and not natural enough for me but on the whole its an enjoyable night out as long as you love the film!

Looking forward to seeing Lee on Ready Steady Cook although I will have to video it as I am at work! There should be lots of smiles, laughs and banter. I have made a point to remember to watch 'When Joseph Met Maria' again nearer Christmas as thats a really Christmassy show. Hooray its Friday and now its only 9 days until I see Joseph!!
