I know it’s only the 1st of December, but the TV Christmas season is already kicking off. The listings magazine schedules change completely (next week’s Radio Times, with its Doctor Who-themed cover, came out on Saturday instead of the usual Tuesday).
And now the big channels are starting their preview trailers, starting with two from BBC1. The drama trail is directly below, and the comedy one is after the jump…
The actual number of shows involved in each trail seems to be quite small in comparison to the number of programmes which will actually be broadcast over the Christmas period. But they do whet the appetite quite nicely…
Does anyone know who is singing the soundtrack on the BBC1 Christmas trailer?
The drama trailer features "Donna and Blitzen" by Badly Drawn Boy, and is available on the Soundtrack CD for "About a Boy".
Not entirely sure about the comedy trailer -- will investigate further and get back to you...
