Okay, so after last week’s cock up we have three couples as planned in the final. And really, that’s what the cause of last week’s problem was: the method by which the judges’ and public votes were tallied up, combined with the dance-off system introduced last year, doesn’t really work with only three competitors. It was by luck rather than good judgement that the same thing didn’t happen last year, which also had three competitiors in the semi-final after Kelly Brook withdrew.
Anyway, again there’s no review of last week, and there won’t be of this week — time pressures are just too great, I’m afraid. But we do have a scoresheet:

The way the evening will progress is this: each of the three couples will dance twice, with two of their highest scoring dances (one Ballroom, one Latin). Then a vote count will be taken (including all last week’s phone votes), at which point one couple will leave.
The remaining two couples will then perform in a group Viennese Waltz and a show dance. I have no idea whether the judges will be scoring these routines, but I’ve left space on the scoresheets in case they do.
After that, it’s all over bar the voting, and we’ll have a new couple’s name on that tacky glitterball trophy. Ignoring the off-the-floor shenanigans for a moment, it’s actually been one of the most entertaining series on the dance floor. But at fourteen weeks, I do feel it’s been stretched out for too long. Last year’s series felt the right length.
But anyway, on with the scoring, and see you all next year!

The Norwegian Jury is indeed on holiday, but if it wasn't for the time difference, I could have watched at least most of the first part. As it is, I'll be heading out to a family dinner when Tom starts showing everyone why he should win! Biased? Moi? Never!

Rachel-It was perfect, somehow it just didn’t wow me. But for dancing, timing, it was excellent. 10
Tom-Now that did wow me, shame about the trip, well recovered. Love the dress, so floaty and so fitting for the dance. Would have been more but can’t ignore the trip. 9
Lisa-Wow, wow , wow and perfect, perfect, perfect. The multi-shade pink, floaty, dress was lovely too. 10
Latin
Rachel-Again she was perfect, not a dance I usually like, this time was no different. I can not fault it. 10
Tom-During the week on ITT Arlene said Tom was as good a dancer as Ramps. This dance was very good, sorry not as good as Ramps, but had the bounce and the fun. 9
Lisa-So much better than last time, lots of hips, lovely legs. She kept my eyes off Brendan, so must have been very very good (OK I did sneak some glimpses). 10

Pauline, I didn't see Lisa's trip. I thought I was really concentrating too.
...now why has no-one picked up on the trip Lisa did at the start of her foxtrot?? Thought T&C were brilliant and whilst appreciating that they couldn't overlook his slip, I thought the rest of the judges' voting was geared up against him. Loving the dresses - but Rachel still doesn't move me - and I don't like Brendand - so Tom still gets my vote!!
Well it wasn't as major as Tom's trip I must admit, but I thought she did trip. Think the judges want the girls through though.

Poor Tom, of all the nights to have a stumble, he's never done it before. The girls were brilliant but always feel the judges bias, or perhaps it's mine!
Having trouble getting through on th ephone, constantly engaged, I suppose it means lots of people are voting so that's good.

Rachel - repeat of previous performances. I agree the foxtrot had no passion but technically good. The white dress didn't show the rhumba off as well as the pink/black lace one. 9+10
Tom - shame about the trip because it was brill like before. He looked like he was having the time of his life in the salsa - shame on you Bruno, we expect it from Craig. 9 (echo sob) + 10
Lisa - I saw Lisa's trip & was fuming that the judges ignored it when it was the first thing each of them mentioned with Tom. Also didn't think Lisa's cha-ch deserved 10's - good but compare it to Alisha's last year & you can see it lacked sparkle. 9 + 9
We saved him last week, can we do the same again ?

Lovely dance but you see Jo I think Tom has all the emotion Rachel doesn't have.
I just love Austin's feet and legs, really made me smile. His arms were a bit off tonight.
That was just great fun, Austin is unbelievably light on his feet.
Found that a bit ungainly to be honest.
Now, sorry Brendan, not my type of dance. I did have my heart in my mouth, due to the danger factor, so not enjoyable. Bit like when I watch horse jumping over big fences, too scared to enjoy the show.

...well have to confess didn't like Lisa & Brendan's dance at all. Thought V&J did well, but Tom knocked my socks off to quote Len - that was amazing - absolutely fantastic and played to all his strengths!!

Said on our other blog loved loved Tom's show dance - so clever as wel as technical. Thought rachels very so so - and very very predictable. Preferred Lisa's - tho not a lot. Thought Lisa should have been in last 2 instead of Rachel. really admire her work ethic. Tom to win now.

Wooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! Bankruptcy was worth it!! Loved this series it has been so great, even with all the controversy. For me the best result as Tom gave me so much joy watching him, and isn't that what it is all about?
Whew, back down to earth - so glad he won! Even Rick voted for him - he said he thought his show dance was the best celeb dance he's seen (I've trained him well!).

Absolutely loved Tom's show dance, just what I had hoped for, really surprised that Len said it was better than Rachael's, at least I think I heard him say that, I was on the phone at the time.
Didn't like Lisa and Brendan's show dance, was like the one last week, all lifts and very little dancing.
Both girls very gracious in defeat, wonder if there may have to be a rethink about the judges/public voting ratio in the future, it seems to have caused no end of problems this year
