Hi all - the weather report from Up North is....glorious sunshine. Honest! No snow fell over night and the roads were pretty clear this morning - thanks for yor concern Carol, but it looks like you've got it worse!

What I said was thankyou for a nice new home Scott. The old one had got a bit slow, but we don't like to moan!

Now lets see what happens!

The sun is shining brightly here too, so I had to walk to my eye appointment. They give you eyedrops which open up the pupils to a degree that I look like I'm totally spaced out on some drug! The result is of course that driving in bright sunshine can be dangerous, so I had a brisk 35 minutes walk there and back!
My eyes are fine, thank heavens. I think loosing my eyesight is one of the things I fear most. Imagine never to be able to read! I think that's one of the reasons I volunteered for The Kent Association For the Blind. Grateful that my sight is fine and grateful I can help people who're not as lucky as myself.

Pauline,- there was a program on Norwegian radio about Madeira this morning, and the reporter said the landing in Madeira was the scariest she'd ever done! Of course I had to look! Fortunately it will be dark by the time we land, about 8.30 pm, so as long as the pilot's eyesight is first class, I won't mind that we can't see much!

Oooh - new home! Thank you Scott Dear - also liking the idea of the "opera shorts"! Sun shining here but apparently it is treacherous underfoot, so I am staying put until home time at which point I shall don my trusty boots and trudge home! Only time you will see me in flats! Have successfully booked Baby Boss out of Egypt for tomorrow morning instead of today - not sure what is happening at Heathrow at the moment so we deemed it safer! Hope it isn't too snowy up north.

I've not had time to do more than a quick skim of the past few days but see Cambrdge went well. Sorry I missed it.

I've had enough of the snow now. W**k cancelled yesterday so a yay to that but it didn't really stop snowing all day where I was so although I went out to play it wasn't as much fun as it would have been today when it's blue sky and sunshine. Still freezing though. The snow isn't thawing at all and all but the main roads are sheet ice. Had an intersting drive in and already getting churned up dreading the drive home. I may be pathetic and use the bus tomorrow.

Eva my bosses went to Madeira a couple of years ago and they didn't mention a scarey landing.

Diana I'd be intersted in seeing Avenue Q.

Oo, a new home - thanks Scott.

Yes it was bright and sunny here for most of the day too, but came in very dull about 2pm and looked like we were in for more snow but, thankfully not. The roads this morning though were very slippy but the bus driver took extra care, which makes a change as they usually go tear-a****g along regardless. A message came through on the driver's radio though that he was to be the last bus through our village as the main road leading up to the village, which is like a ski slope, had been closed by the police as it was too dangerous!! So, if I'd have gone any later I'd have either have to walk to work (a loooooonngg way!!!) or stay home and watch DVD's (grrrr! Why didn't I go later!!). I discovered that my walking boots are very good in "proper" snow, where they can get a grip, but rubbish in the compact or slushy stuff, I was slip sliding away walking from the bus station to work! Coming home, I walked my office flirt to his car and he linked up to me amd I was so worried that I'd go flying and take him with me, and he's so fragile!! I delivered him safely to his car though, phew!!

Glad to hear everybody else arrived wherever they were going safe and sound.

Chantale - glad your Dad got settled. It must be very difficult for you all.

Eva - you are lucky with the lottery. You must be going to get the "big one" one day! Glad the eye test went well.

Hello all
I was working last night and stayed on an extra hour because one member of the morning staff was unable to get the car out of his village (icy roads/hill) and it would mean only one staff member to open up, I done a 13hr shift so I’m knackered and I have to go back again in less than an hour.
OOOhhhmmmss to me for those lottery numbers on Wednesday (well I can dream – can’t I)

It was an easy drive into work this morning, snow everywhere, but roads clear. Schools still shut so at 8 the traffic was like it was 6 in the morning. The schools will be back tomorrow as the snow has melted tonight. Unless it snows again, I'll just check the forecast.

Well, school was open yesterday, with about half pupils there, but closed today, so i@Ve been watching a dvd.
Took all the children out to play in the snow yesterday and a great time was had by all. They were even allowed to throw snowballs!! Then we went inside to get warm and all the wet goves, socks etc were laid on the heaters.

Scott dear - thank you for the link. I like PS too and would have liked to see him as Jo (prior to GO of course). Still, he's looking good in his coat and definitely not the weather for the loin cloth! Just come home and viewed the weather - see we could have some more snow/sleet! Just heating up the home made soup! Rehearsal cancelled tonight so a second night in! Baby Boss stranded in Cairo until Thursday!

Well got round to see Sloppy who was fine, well as much as she ever is these days!

I saw TM as well and PS was very funny about the coat. He said he was pleased he'd got into it but unforunately the loin cloth was too small, and laughed. Fern then asked him which bit had got too big for it! Yaaay Fernie is a member of the gutter gang!

Oh Maggie you take care that sounds a lot of hours to be working.
As Jo 4 and Kathleen have said the snow is almost none exsistent in this area now, just hope we don't get any more, it must be still cold as the snowmen are still alive and well.

I can't believe the snow has gone for some of you, we're still several inches deep at home. I made the mistake of walking across the fresh snow to the front door as I arrived home and got snow on my trousers even though they were tucked inside my boots. The trains from my local station didn't start up again until mid afternoon. Even round the office the pavements still have some snow on the side. I'm not looking forward to the walk to station tomorrow - it wasn't too bad today as we'd had a bit more snow overnight but I think it's going to be an ice rink tomorrow. My boots have a fairly good grip but not that good.

Can’t begin to say how much I’ve missed you guys – I’ve been without pooter for 2 weeks but feels like months. Thank goodness for Lin and Brenda , they have kept me pretty much up to date with all things Meady. Wasn’t it fabulous to hear the engagement news? They do seem really happy together, I’m thrilled to bits for them.
Can’t begin to say how frustrating it was for me not having a functional pooter then!

Yes, to add insult to injury (or the other way around) I developed a nasty abscess but I’m definitely on the road to recovery. Mega thanks for all the oooohhhmmmms and texts, they have helped so much.

I’ve a mountain of e-mails to plow through and of course need to check out all the links and see what everyone has ben up to but I’m home tomorrow so I’ll put the day to good use.

Ok - really pibbed off - lost 2 posts now (I know I should have saved them first). had s...t day at work - big meeting of senior people and I got loads of flack for something I didnt do (and had told person in writing didnt think should be done) but as they werent there and i coudnt really say person (who is senior to me) had done against my advice. So just had to sit and take it all (and there was lots - not personal but not nice!). Had g and t and wine and still fed up.

It's sooo cold here, we've still got lots of snow. I may have mentioned before, I live in a small town surrounded by hills. It's a well know 'fact' that we have our own eco system, any adverse weather heads straight for us and we get more than our fair share of snow every year! I was driving home from w**k today and was gobsmacked at how stunning the Pentland Hills look, happily a sight I LOVE!

Eva - Sue and I have 5 brothers, imagine what our mum's i*****g pile was like!!!
Mum was very happy once we were 'encouraged' to take over! Safe driving tomorrow.

As I suspected, most of this week's magazines feature THE engagement. It's amazing how many different ways the same thing can be said! Basically they all say the same thing - pretty much what was in the Mirror and Sun last week. Lots of gorgeous pics of them in St Lucia but again already seen online.
I think the only new "news" is that OK says Lee & Den went to the Jalousie Plantation on St Lucia - looks fabulous.

Another of the mags says they are getting married this summer but I think that's just speculation. If you want to get one or two of the mags for the pics, I recommend OK and either Look, New or Star of the mags I've seen.

There was some sad news on the forum today, Craig Chalmers Mum has died, there was some talk of sending him some flowers, which I thought would be a nice idea, not sure how appropriate it would be though, anyway no-one seems to be acting on it.

SueX - how lovely to see you - know what it is like to be in pooter limboland! Had an exciting evening inputting the Society's accounts for 2008 (Ploppy being Treasurer). He hs accounts books for the three accounts but then I have to input onto an Excel sheet before the AGM which is usually in March. Got half way through and called it a night! Now feel dead on my feet so having an early night! Lady J please pass on our love to the studying one! Hope K2 is ok, as don't think she's popped in today! Morning all. A bright, but very frosty (-3.9 degrees) day today. Fortunately none of the white stuff has fallen overnight, so the roads should be fine. Poor Poppy has gone from a bright red to a frosty red/white colour overnight.

Morning BHB - ah see your "trainer" - you know the one with the triple stutter - has been giving you a massage and then Aunty Eva kidnapped you - well firstly into the shower with you! Quite chilly but bright here in London, still some snow lying about though. Eva - have a safe journey down! Merry little band of seven of us going tonight - we will report back! One of the young chaps in the office going to see Oliver tonight, so I'll get a first hand account of that too, and one of our Partners went to see Wicked last night. See what a cultured lot we are! OK breakfast this morning will be eggs benedict, eggs portebello, eggs florentine, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, grilled mushrooms, grilled black pudding or bacon. Hot toasted bread, full basket of assorted bread this morning as baker has delivered as normal. Side orders of grilled tomatoes, hash browns or saute potatoes. For those with a lighter appetite waffles with maple syryp and bacon, or mushrooms and bacon. Usual array of special coffees a la maison, herbal teas (if you have to) and Cham Cham, Bellinis, Mimosas, Champagne Cocktails etc. Now BHB and I are just going into the kitchen to prepare (door closes firmly)>

Morning all, another really beautiful day here, so hopefully the trip to London should be fine. Have just seen GN on Breakfast talking about La Cage, I do like him and think it should be good. Funny how I don't have the same excitement as I did for the Jo shows though, now why would that be I wonder?!

Kathleen and Carol - I had a -email conversation with Geri last night. She's fine - studying very hard, but she took a break to work on chapter 22. And it's EXCITING!!!

I saw GN on the telly this morning too Pauline, there is something quite endearing about him and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the flesh tonight, though not nearly as much, or in the same way, as the GO of course.

It's still very white round here, though it did thaw yesterday and the snow's not nearly as deep as it was, but pavements and side roads are treacherous again.

Have a good drive up Eva and everyone else be careful too.

Well went out a bit earlier and although it is thawing where the sun has been the rest of the pavements are a bit lethal and it is still cold! Will wrap myself up and wend my way to London.

Weather here is bright and sunny, but still cold so the snow is hanging around, and more forecast for tomorrow.

I’m on my second box of tissues, but it is just a streaming cold, none of the other horrid symptoms.

Looked at trains for March when a group of us are coming down to see Jersey Boys, haven’t fares gone up shockingly? Last price to come down for the 10th was £26 return, now we’re looking at £45 return. Usually if you book at the right time there are bargains to be had, think I may need to look around a bit more!!

Good news about the album release, he should be promoting it any time now, ears to the ground folks.

Good old Google alert, sometimes it does bring interesting news, thanks Diana and Alib; So not too long to wait for the album and hopefully lots of appearances promoting it.

At first glance, the only song I'm familiar with on the new album is More Than Words and that is a fantastic song, loved that for years.

Sue1, have you tried looking at single tickets - two singles are frequently cheaper than a return. Ohhmmms to chase your cold away.

As far as train tickets go, National Express East Coast's website (at http://www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com/) allows you to book trains to and from anywhere in the UK, not just NEEC routes, and it's the clearest and quickest booking engine out there. It'll show you single fares and returns, so you can work out the cheapest direct fares, and doesn't charge a booking fee.

“More than words” is a very special song for me. It is a song we played at my brothers’ funeral. I cannot listen to it now without crying. Now Lee is going to sing it and I am crying already.
I love the title “Breathe you out”. Maybe it is one of the songs co-written by Lee.

Oh what a treat not long to wait for album so much for signing on polydor site for advance warning so far nothing, had to learn of it by faithful fans.
Ploppy is now firmly stuck in bed never have i seen him like that.
Father is really happy in his new home they are really taking good care of him and does not seem to be left by himself too long.So keeping fingers crossed have not seen him so relax in months.
I wonder if Lee will do the same as with his first album cos I would have to book the train no waiy AmI missing the launch if it is on!.

Hi to everyone else, thanks again for all your "welcomes". I'm enjoying being here and glad I've been able to help with some links/news. If anyone not sure how some of the songs "go" on Lee's new album, check out LMAS, I have added a couple of vids found on youtube, and other members have also added others. Lots of lovely songs to look forward to there, and they sound as if they suit Lee's voice; wonder if it is a coincidence that some are just accompanied by guitar.

Hi, back from the smoke. Just didn't have the excitement of the last time I was there. Not caught up. GN was very good, much better than I expected him to be. Loved the show, some very energetic dancing from the 'girls'-great. Good songs. I recommend it. Nice to see everyone too.
oh oh, the cards arrived today. No time to do the publicity shots tonight. They look as I wanted them. I was concerned as my small test order came out a bit dark, so I had my fingers crossed and was ready to send them back.

Morning. It's raining in London so unless it turns colder, hopefully most of the snow will be gone by this evening. It was like an ice rink when I walked home from the station just after 11.00 pm.

Had a nice meal and lovely to see some of you again. As Jo has said, La Cage was good and GN better than expected. However, unlike another show, once is enough. OOOh several inches of snow here - much more than start of week. My work closed, scollops school closed and trains disrupted, Poor ploppy going to try to get to london as forgot to bring his work laptop home. hope he doesnt get stuck in london - or worse on freezing train.

Morning, morning - hope P2 is ok as see she was due for a large drop of snow overnight and the airport is now closed! Oh, don't worry BHB I am sure she will get here and need you and the blanket shortly. Had a lovely evening - met up with P2 and because we were early we bravely strolled past the Adelphi to see the piccies with Ricky's head superimposed onto Lee's pictures...very odd. Then a quick wander around CG before deciding it was too cold and nipping into Stranded to find Diana already there. Show very good - GN was GN playing Albin, but that suits the part so didn't worry me. Steven Pacey was Georges and he was excellent. In fact it was a very funny show and very good entertainment. First time I had been to the Playhouse and it is a lovely little gem - not huge but compact. The front stalls had been taken out and tables and chairs placed there (think the tickets for here were about £68) and those sitting there were included in the show to some extent....it being set in a nightclub. Not the buzz from seeing Jo, but enjoyed it tremendously. Simple set, excellent lighting, sympathetic band (they were very good). We were back of the stalls (P) but in the centre so had excellent view. It was lovely meeting up again (well I had of course seen Auds and P2 quite recently), especially Diana as we hadn't seen her for a while. I'd recommend it as a good evening out. OK it is wet here today so hopefully will clear the remnants of the snow, although could have more by the end of the day if the forecast is anything to go by! Fi only really skimmed the blog before, but sorry to hear about your meeting - don't let the Bs get to you! Chantale, good news about your dad, but not about Ploppy - send our love for a speedy recovery. Sue1 - hope you are feeling better - ooohhhhhhmmmmmmms for those in need. Wonderful to have our Queen of the Links back of course to keep us all up to date! SueX - well hello SueX, you look swell SueX, it's so nice to have you back where you belong! Exciting news about the CD - I've saved holiday for the event so won't have to have worry about getting back to the office!! Forgot to say nice to see Tabitha and Brenda again so soon! OK off to the kitchens, will take the red blanket and close the door as we need a debrief!

Morning all from Nanook of the North, well ok I know I'm not that far north but I might well be looking outside my window! Ok last night then arose this morning to as much snow as there was last time! Grrrr! It still looks very threatening so we may not of finished yet! Thankyou for your concern Carol.

Thank goodness it didn't happen yesterday as I don't think I'd have got to the show, and I would hate to have missed it. First met up with the others, lovely to get together again, though sad not with the same frisson of excitement! Carols' review says it all really. I love the little theatre and we had a bonus that the row in front of us was empty, probably a coach party that cancelled, so we had a great view. Although at the back of the stalls it is such a small and very lovely theatre, there aren't really any bad seats in the stalls anyway. GN really in his element. Don't think he'll pick up any prizes and his voice not fantastic, but the part is so suited to him and in the bits where he interacts with the audience he is fantastic, his forte I think. The chorus 'girls' are wonderful and SP very good too. Just a really good fun evening.

Diana it was lovely to see you again especially when you were the bearer of such great news. Like the look of what I know of the album. Fingers crossed for another launch. I haven't heard from Eva, but if the weather was inclement she would stay with Shirley I know, she packed extra knickers I think!

It's raining here this morning which seems to have upset the buses as much as the snow, had to give up on my plans for this morning but perhaps it will get rid of the snow which is rapidly tirning to slush.

Had a lovely evening yesterday, think we pcked the best day of the week, it was grand to meet up again though seemed odd not to be worrying about cameras and fans etc..
The show was very enjoyable, GN did very well and being himself worked fine for the part, Steven Pacey and rest of the cast were terrific, the chorus danced brilliantly and they all had legs to die for!

I'm with you Maeve, I don't mind snow but it's getting boring now! We had a little overnight then rain so it is slushy and slippery underfoot.
Ooh Blake's 7, that brings back memories Jane! My sis and I used to teleport ourselves up to bed at night after watching that.

Cricey, Diana, I didn't expect a TEXT from you last night, so I switched the phone off as soon as I had phoned Shirley to say that I was on my way back.
I was surpised at the amount of snow in London compared to down here. It wasn't really until I'd passed Ashford on the M20 yesterday that the fields were turning white. The roads were fine, (the main roads), so no trouble in getting up to London. This morning it was raining, so I sped down the M20 at my usual pace (SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Don't tell anyone I was speeding. There might be police sneaking a look at the blog!)

It was lovely to meet up at Stranded again, and the waitress was so pleased to see us, she gave me a hug!
Our Graham was very, very good. The role could have been written for him, and his singing wasn't too bad. He'll never get any prices for Voice Of The Year, but it wasn't needed. When he sang I Am What I Am, he put so much emotion in it, that I had a lump in my throat.
I loved the show. It was very funny with a serious tone underneath. The "chorus line" was brilliant. I said to Diana that I wished I had legs like that! No TWs on display, but plenty of TBlacks (!) from the chorus line, but somehow not quite the same as GO's TW's!
The little theatre was lovely. Because it was so small, even sitting at the back of the stalls, it still had an intimate feel to it.

Tabitha,- thanks for the update on Madeira airport. I always take an aisle seat, so I'll hopefully not see too much. I'm not normally a nervous traveller, but the way the reporter described the landing, it gave me the creeps!

Just over 30 days to go - not long. We may not even have to wait that long if there's a single first. Think this time I will pre-order one copy to be delivered to work and one to home in order to receive it as early as possible. If I remember rightly a handful of people received the first album on the Saturday. I've checked Amazon & Play but it's not listed yet. Fingers & toes crossed for another HMV or equivalent.

Not bored with snow here - it is amazing. We have 6-8 inches and nobody can get anywhere - we have only hill for miles around in our village and imposs to get up it. ploppy spent an hour and half digging car out and then still couldnt make it to road (only 9 ft away).
been for long walk down by river - hard work in all the snow - and then retired to pub where most of village are. landlord ran out of food but we sat and had drink(s) with loads of people hadnt seen for ages. Real village spirit. Snowing again but wet snow - if this freezes we wwil be in real trouble.
Scollop supposed to work in shop tonight and has been off sledging all day and still neither back home or phoned shop. As no buses no idea how is going to get in but probably too late to cancel his shift now. told him he better start walking.

Forogt to say that CD sounds good but have to admit that didnt know many of the tracks - tho have checked some on Youtube and can imagine that would suit GO's voice. Scollop was surprised to hear music from computer that not Lee - yet:)

Ali - the file may be 'read only' or blocked so right click and look in properties - untick read only and unblock if necessary. Otherwise just open it and copy paste the entire contents into a new dicument and go from there.

Brenda,- I can still remember the excitement of that day! When we were sitting there patiently waiting for Lee to come on stage, we suddenly spotted him standing to the right of us. Very excited twitter, but we had promised the compere not to cheer when we spotted him, so there were only a few whispered "Lee", and he looked up and smiled!

I love Drops of Jupiter and the duet Where The Stars Go Blue. The couple singing it on the clip linked, Kurt Nilesen and Venke Knutson, are Norwegians. He looks like a garden gnome, but has a beautiful voice!

Remember some days ago there was a mention here of using black horses for a funeral? Today as I was driving through Sidcup, I saw 4 WHITE horses with WHITE plumes, towing (?) a WHITE carriage with a WHITE casket in it. It was a quite extraordinary sight, and all the traffic came to a stand still.

It might please you to hear that all the snow in England, Scotland and Wales are big news on Norwegian television today. The reporting was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but sympathetic!

Hi all, went to see Sloppy who is sort of ok. Cleared snopw away again, ready for all the snow to fall on it again!! We are promised heavy snow again tomorrow. We seem to be gatting it when it's heavy in the south, then again when it is heavy in the north! Not happy.

Diana I checked out the same sites for pre-ordering the album too and was surprised it's not listed yet. I'm sure I ordered the first album quite a long way ahead of it's release.

I've taken a photo of the finished cards. The picture is rubbish, as I was having reflection problems from the shiny surface. The cards actually look fine and the photos are good quality and tone. I will take better photos tomorrow. I need to get the finished pack for post weighed before I can say the price for definite.

Well had an evening of phone calls! Been talking to my friend who is getting Ari the dog. I think she is feeling the strain as a lot of hard work (and money!) is involved. However she is going to Cyprus this weekend, weather permitting, and I'm sure seeing him again will help a lot. I'll keep you posted!

Can I have some ohhmms from the bank please? My lovely old dog Jess is poorly. She is on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories for a nasty cough and a high temperature. The vet mentioned pneumonia and 'of course older dogs can get lung tumours' - all very scary. She did seem hopeful though that it is just an infection and Jess does seem a bit brighter tonight. Why do our pets have to get old so soon - Jess is twelve and a half and everyone loves her.

Morning. It was raining hard and didn't feel too cold when I left home. When I got off the bus at Angel, it was sleeting and colder. Just looked out the office window and it's snowing. And one of my bosses has just emailed from Hertfordshire to say it's blowing a blizzard and he won't be in. I've had enough of this weather but Metro this morning says it's likely to stay like this for the month. Can humans hibernate?

Well Baz was nasty about Lee in Joseph so I think that whatever he does in future will be slated by him. It's the tv show he hates and is continually trying to prove that the people who come through them are useless. He should look in the mirror. (See I can play at that game too!)

Read BB's remarks earlier, with sinking heart, it's surprising how words of criticism of 'our boy' hurt.
Of course we know how much BB dislikes TV casting programmes and how prejudiced he is about anyone involved with them. It seems that he wasn't actually at the workshop himself and is gleefully reporting other people's opinions.
I don't suppose his views cut much ice with those that matter, the producers and directors who have actually worked with the GO.

I'm not going to mention the 's' word today except to say that there's a little more of it around here today than there was yesterday!

Oh Wow, thank you for the links. I love the song. It's so good to hear him sing something new. So looking forward to the rest of the album.

The last two days have been hell with work stuff, in fact I didn't get here at all yesterday as I was so busy with all the c**p, so to come home early today and find this, was fantastic. Cheered me up straight away! That, and the bottle (or two) of red stuff that's winking at me from the kitchen waiting for the bar to open tonight!!

Still loads of snow here but no more has fallen today. Yesterday was awful, Ploppy set off to a job in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire ( famous for Mother Shipton's Cave and the Petrifying Well - well it's famous in these parts anyway, probably nobody has heard of it). Anyway, the snow was so bad out there the van was skidding all over the place so he had to turn round and come home. So he did all the i*****g for me, bless him! (First time in god knows how long, so he must have been reeeeeallly bored!!!!!!).

Evening all, Martin here, Maggie has asked me to let you know she is still about, but has been occupied finding accomodation for her father here in Bury St Edmunds, could wait forever for sheltered accomodation so has turned to private and has found 2, one very small flat accross town and fingers crossed a bungalow here in the same street as us, now just a question of meeting the owners expectations and sorting out the paperwork for government money etc.

And what a lovely night I had on Wednesday. It was so good to see Diana again - it's been aaaaaaages... and to see Aunty Eva, Maeve, P2 and Carol and Jo - and of course to be back at the Stranded. Must admit I missed that feeling I used to get as I left the tube at Embankment.. those brightly coloured butterflies fluttering in my stomach - my gait becoming lighter and faster - and then the flip of delight as I saw those bright coloured lights.... sigh.
Anyways, here's a late review, but a review all the same. LCAF was delightful. I was quite pleasantly surprised that GN was quite at home in a 'musical' having expressed his previous lack of interest. I read somewhere recently that it was being extended past April - but with cast changes.. I think it was when I was googling Mr Pacey. When I saw 'earlier' photos of the man I made that same assumption Jane - goodlooking, dark curly hair, fine voice. Although Blake 7 didn't impact on me - I was way to busy enjoying my independence here in London at the time - I don't think I watched telly for about 2 years... perhaps not, but I like to think I did.
Chantal, I am so pleased that your dad seems to be settled and much happier in the new home. The attentiveness of the carers must make a huge difference for him. And sorry to Ploppy on the sick list. Hope you're withdrawing all the OOOHHHMMMMSSSS you need.

Jeesh, it's chilly out there tonight. Thank heavens for thermals. We had a smattering of snow here this morning which was immediately turned into slush glorious slush. My weekend to Hertford's been cancelled - which I'm quite glad of really - I just wanna stay indoors and warm all weekend.
Fi - I loved your description of what quite of few of you have experienced trying to get a post onto the blog (old fashioned dance steps). So far (touch wood) I haven't experienced any of that.
Oh, and some good news to report. My friend with the drink problem took my words to heart and she doesn't drink at all during the day at work - EVEN when we've had internal celebrations - and we've had 2 this week, so she's been well tested. Completely left the glass of blubby alone today.. didn't even lift it to her lips. I felt very proud of her. But don't dear say that - she'd hate to be praised (patronised).

I am having problems with my pooter. I downloaded a programme earlier today everything was fine, but now I can't access any programmes on the pooter! Not my docs or the control panel or anything. If I try the computer just freezes. I left it alone for ages to see if it sorted itself out but no joy Had to switch it off on the modem as even ctrl alt del didn't work. Well in fact did it twice as that's how I found it was freezing. Sorry this is a ramble but I'm stuck. If it doesn't sort itself out will have to find a nerd to help I think. Sigh. Still at least I can still access the internet, at the moment! If I disappear you'll know why.

Still snowy round here but most of the roads are clear, hope it stays that way for tomorrow, my goddaughter has her first driving lesson, she is SO excited about it, she was seventeen on Monday and has been wanting to drive ever since her brother passed his test a couple of years ago.

What great news about 9th March, I absolutely love the choice of songs. No 1,2,8 - wow, and then 10! and Through the Barricades from Spandau Ballet - omg! Just can't wait!

It's been a very busy week. Spent 3 days on the occupational first aid course, very good and very intensive, glad to have done it, learned loads. Finished up with a 3-way exam, written, verbal and practical.

We have had A LOT of snow here, what fell on Monday and Tuesday still hasn't melted where I live and our snowman is still looking healthy enough.

Not been here for a few days, sorry, missed you all.
Have done my penance by spending hours catching up.

No, I won't look while you pour in the ingredients, as I know it's one of Carol's secret recipes!

When all that is done, we can have our usual snuggle on the sofa in front of the fire. Ah, I see the sky blue blanket is already there. You knew I'd be along, did you?

Karen2,- You are right, Poppy has been complaining about the cold, but as she is now equipped with fur lined hub caps and raindeer skin covers, she really hasn't got a lot to complain about! I've even given her some extra anti-freeze, and Herbert next door is clearly envious of the care she's being given. He keeps telling her she's totally spoilt, but she just tells him she's a sensitive French mademoiselle who need special care! All this of course said in a very strong French accent!

I'd better get the day started. As I'm taking Syd out for his birthday lunch and tonight I will be going to a birthday party (for me!) at my friend Kari's, it's going to be a very busy day.

Lovely sunshine here today but still freeeeeeeezing cold. The snow is so compact here now that it's just like a skating rink. My walking boots are rubbish for this type of snow so I've been trying out various other boots this morning (yes I have several pairs!) and I've been walking up and down the drive in each pair to test them out. The neighbours must think I'm doing some kind of fashion show!! Anyway, I think I've found a pair that might just keep me upright!! Here's hoping!

Morning BHB, I know I am supposed to be here to do breakfast at the weekends, but I had to ring my friend who is off to Cyprus today to make sure her flight was ok. Oh thankyou yes we think it might be a bit delayed but otherwise ok. So breakfast, well more brunch now really. I see the porrige is on and successful so I think we'll do pancakes and waffles with maple syrup and bacn, sausages and tomatoes. You are doing your eggs any style again? Oh you aree good, well with lots of fruit, cold meats and cheeses and the varios breads and bagels of different varieties I think we'll do for today. Oh of course the drinks are available. Cham Cham, Bellinis(peach and raspberry, Mimosas, and for those who want hot drinks coffees and teas, and for this weekend hot chocolate with cream and a shot of rum (optional). So I think we need to be in the kitchen sorting this out, I'll just take the blue blanket in case we get cold! Shuts the door.

Auds, K2and everyone else asking about my job (thanks chaps)- the first week was largly settling in. Our team was doing some work with a tight deadline - nothing too difficult, so just right for a newbie like me. My Manager turned out to be very kind and supportive, even though she isn't based at our office. So I was getting my feet under the table when phone call - I'm changing teams as of Monday! I'm told this happens a lot. Oh well! It keeps me on my toes. And the people I'm sitting with are very nice!

Just phoned up about greyhound, sounds good. Although she hasn't actually been cat tested, she shows no interest in them when out walking. She is 11, just perfect!

Jane, haven't heard from Geri for a bit. Hope her studying is going well.

I've been out for a brisk walk, and my! that wind is biting! I don't think I'll do the North Pole jog after all!

Hi all, I’m back. I turned in my two assignments yesterday and promptly fell asleep on the sofa. If it hadn’t been for K2 calling me around 10pm I’d probably have been there for the night. This morning I had to do a quick shop and I noticed some definite changes due to the economy. Apart from the obvious deficit of shoppers, there are sales everywhere. One shop selling TVs has a sign saying the price with ‘Or nearest offer’ on an assortment of goodies. My personal favourite, though, was the chemist who is selling condoms for 50% off! I won’t make the obvious comment… I’m boycotting some of the British clothing shops, I have to say. Despite the fact that the Euro & the Pound are so close, there’s still a 50% mark up in most shops like M&S, Wallis, and so on, which was fine when there was that difference in currency, but there’s no excuse for it now.

Weather has been vile. Worse, in the middle of a blizzard on Tuesday the fire alarm went off and we had to spend 15 minutes outside getting soaked and frozen. Lovely day today though, sunny and dry and not too cold. (Sorry if you’re all still suffering horrible weather conditions there. Hoping it doesn’t last much longer).

So what have I been missing in loppyland? Lots, I’d guess. Lee engaged, a new album and song. Actually, I heard the song on the radio yesterday as I was working on my assignment about the Gestapo. Talk about worlds colliding! I hope both the album and the engagement go well and he has a year as fabulous as ’08 was.

And do I understand a certain vile correspondent has been making derogatory remarks about our GO? Something tells me an evil master villain called Bad Bumboil may be making his debut in a future story…

Hope all the sickies are on the mend. Jo, Suex, etc. (sorry if I miss anyone; no way I could cover everything I missed over the past couple of weeks, so I just skimmed). Ohms to them, to various pets, computers, etc. Ohhhhhhmmmmmmmm!!

Just slid over to Sainsburys and back. Had to do some shopping for Sloppy. It is worse than Christmas in there, heaving with people. They have no milk, mind don't blame the cows if theywon't oblige in this weather, and the bread is running low. Several people I spoke to hadn't been able to get out for a week. Where are we? The North Pole?

Now I'm worried about KK, out and about in this weather testing boots, it can't be a good thing. I echo JaneE, take care Karen.

Back from my worktop shopping expedition in one piece - the boots worked and I managed to stay on two feet!!

Well I think we've decided on the worktop, only trouble is the one we have chosen means we will have to change the colour of the wood stain in the rest of the kitchen so what started out as having to just change the taps and the sink, following the flood, has now turned into a major kitchen re-furbishment. Ploppy is not the happiest Ploppy in the world right now as it's all extra work for him!! Although I did tell him I'd do the wood staining - how much damage can I do with a pot of wood stain and a paintbrush!!! Anyway, what makes me happy, makes Ploppy happy, right!!?? Hmm, not sure he'd agree with that at the moment!

He did get a laugh at my expense though. He's just gone off to the driving range and as he was walking out to the van I remembered something I had to tell him so I opened the conservatory door and leaned out to shout him and just as I did a lump of ice fell off the conservatory roof straight down my cleavage!!!! Which caused me to scream (both in surprise and at the cold!!) - which caused Ploppy to laugh his head off!!!!! He was still laughing as he drove off! It could have been worse though because just after that the rest of the snow came crashing down off the roof and landed right where I'd been stood!!!

Bad Bumboil!!! I nearly fell off my seat laughing at that. Brilliant! Looking forward to what evil things you have up your sleeve for him Geri.

Pauline - it was the same at our supermarket today too. Packed it was. And I only wanted one thing and had to queue for ages! Grrrrr!

Karen, could anyone else have an icicle fall down their cleavage? It sounds like a Karen original to me! Mind you, they had an even nastier use for an icicle in a recent Gray's Anatomy. It was imaginative, but they made a big issue about whether they should pull the icicle out of the character's abdomen (it had impaled her). Never seemed to occur to the writers that the silly thing would have melted...

Ladies, I left a very happy 97 year old (or young) gentleman at his home. He had a lovely time, and say thank you his wonderful Loppy girlfriends for their good wishes and cards. To Maggie a special thanks for the scratch card! We had an exiting time scratching, and he won £15 ! Now there is a birthday present and a half!
I took them to his old pub, where they really had had a change over since last year. It had been extended with a restaurant at the back, very classy, and new management. I told the landlord about Syd being an old regular, and that it was his 97th birthday. He came over to the table, introduced himself to Syd, said happy birthday and the drinks were on the house! You should have been there, Lushes!
We had fish & chips with mushy peas and apple crumble for dessert, and afterwards I took a very happy Syd home. The cleaner, Natasha, was delightful, so very funny. She told about her son, 7 years old, who was absolutely fascinated by the fact that Syd was 90 years older than himself, and loved to tell his friends at school that he had a mate who is 90 years older than him!
I took some photos, and if they come out well, I'll send them to Martin. Syd looks so spruce. He'd even put his teeth in!
All in all a very happy day so far, and for me it's only half way done. I'll be off in another 10 minutes to pick up the third Norwegian who lives in this area, and then it's on with party number 2!

Morning everyone - oh, missed that, in fact missed most of the day! Went out slightly later than normal to allow the ice to melt a bit (ok I was reluctant to leave the duvet truth be told) and then spent most of the day trying to find boots for the return of the bad weather - I found some, but Rick is still without! Have just fed him and Sloppy and am now struggling with typing up service for tomorrow morning - machine is misbehaving and won't download the greater part of it which I typed in the office. Grrr. Not sure if anyone responded Geri but Craig's mother died - she was quite ill and that's why he was out of the show for a couple of weeks, with young Anthony standing in for him. Oh I would happily throw ice water on the DG Geri, it was only Graymm I had any sympathy for, though did quite like the picture it conjured up!

I'm back from my lunch out which was extremely leisurely, took, 3 hours, but as no one was in a hurry it gave us time to put the world to rights and to get through a few bottles.

I've been speaking to my daughter and the grandchildren, they were at school only on Wednesday last week when there was an Ofsted Inspection, they both tramped through the snow on Thursday and Friday only to be told to go home but there was no advance notice, it seems the school just waited to see how many teachers and pupils turned up.
I hope things can get back to normal next week.

Well I went shoppping today to get various 'parts' for the iTouch and check out problem with iPod (it's battery has gone!!!!! methinks that's their terminology for 'we don't know why your connection is kaput' - both items work separately, just not together. anymore. Ended up buying a pair of little booties - no not knitted ones, some ankle boots for the office [hope the office will like them].

Now I understand why War & Peace was so long, and why it took Flaubert so long to write Mme Bovary. Today it was a bit of a sad day dad has got i think a gum infection he has a horridly diformed mouth does not seem to hurt hi, but looks a mess tehyare taking him to a dentist on monday why do these things always happen on a week end. Hope he will be ok for next saturday as it is mum and dad 61st wedding anniversary. ( I don't think that during the 2 months he was in hospital they clean his teeth once!)poor man.

Hi K2, good to see you. Your first aid course sounds like our First Aid At Work that I had to do every three years, although it was very good I have to admit I don’t miss it one bit. It was the practical that did for me, I could cope with the dummy, but the incident usually floored me, I used to think I’d probably cope better with the real thing!

Just a quick pop in to say goodnight. Have an early start as I've to bring the car for it's NCT at 8.50am. Spent this afternoon making sure oil, water, tyres etc were all in good order. Hope it passes.

Snow still hasn't melted on the grass and it's still very icy. Was shocked this afternoon to find out that my cousin who lives two doors down, slipped yesterday and broke both her wrists!
She had surgery today to repair them, pins/wires etc. The op went well but how awful for her, both arms are in plaster and her hubby expects she'll be kept in until Monday. I'll pop over to see her tomorrow.

Anyway today we will have warm fruit compote with greek yogyurt, cereals and muesli, various fruit yoghurts, eggs any style with bacon sausages, tomatoes. (the bacon and sausages are outsourced to keep the kitchen kosher as Lepry is back. Waffles and pancakes with maple syrup. Smoked salmon and cream cheese with various other cheeses a variety of freshly baked breads and bagels. Coffee and all types of tea, Cham Cham, Bellinis (both) Mimosas available. Also because of the weather Mulled wine is available throughout the day BHB will make it for you specially. I just need to give him my secret recipe, so taking the red blanket,we'll go into the kitchen, excuse us, shuts the door firmly.

Ah, I've read chapt. 22 and I'm still blushing and so is Diva. Of course she would go after any creature trying to harm King Lee. As for what she actually found......I couldn't possibly comment!
I've been out to the car and read Poppy's input out loud to her. She is very, very pleased, and wanted me to read it aloud to Herbert too. He doesn't believe that she is being transformed in to a chariot. I flatly refused to do that. The neighbours might let me get away with sitting in the car talking to myself, but actually standing in front of next door's car, reading aloud from a piece of paper, would bring the men in white coats pronto!

I've had my usual telemarathon to Norway, and you'll be pleased to hear that everything is fine in the land of the Vikings. It's very cold, -11 this morning in Bergen., lots of snow. My sister was asking me how we were coping with the winter here, trying to stop herself giggling! The TVnews has been full of how the English cope (or not!) with last weeks snow. The report have been very tounge-in-cheek!
The Young Ones are in the mountains skiing this weekend. Juan is taking to skiing like a duck to water. He loves it!

Well car passed it's NCT (YAY!), yes Pauline, same as MOT.
Woke up this morning to clear skies and was quite pleased but by 7.30am we had another blizzard which lasted the whole time I was out, piling more snow on top of what had already frozen, treacherous driving conditions so left plenty early and took it slow, roads were empty so that helped. Have managed to persuade Mum not to venture out to church, just too risky.
Thanks for the oohms for my cousin, visiting is at 2pm and I'm very near the hospital so popping over to see her.

Auds - my brother arrives home from 2 weeks in SA today and what's really funny is that when he texted back on Tuesday joking about the fantastic weather and asking were we enjoying the snow, I told him we'd try to save some snow for him, didn't think for a second that I'd be right!

I see from the blog that you are looking for whoever sent in the photos you are talking about, I assume from your post that we are talking about the GO2 album and the pictures 15,16,17 & 18 refer to the order that they appear, if this is so I have labelled them as from Karen (name in brackets) if they were not from Karen then they must have been fron Karen2.
Recently when possible I have taken to adding senders names gto help in just this situation, if it turns out to be Karen2 please let me know and I will adjust the labels

Help - I've not got ch 22!

Went for a power walk yesterday but as there was lots of ice around, pal and I decided to change our route. We ended up walking for 3 hours, during which approx 6 inches of snow fell!!!!! Made power walking quite difficult! We enjoyed it but were very tired towards the end - made the eventual bath and cuppa even better!
Just off to the gym with same pal, we're both on a mission!

VERY VERY excited to think that GO may only be 12 miles away from me - GO if you're reading this (?) don't worry, I am bonkers but not dangerous (honest)! XX

BTW, did anyone see Connie this morning? She told a great story about being invited to lunch at Sardis in NY by her agent. When she arrived he said, 'Your surprise is just behind you.' Also, Lovelees are reporting GG's first night at Joe was unexpectedly early. Though obviously nervous in the beginning he did quite well and was great by the second half.

Been watching DoI. Apart from Ray Quinn, who is in a class of his own, I haven't quite decided who I like best, although I must say I have a soft spot for Roxanne and think the judges are too harsh on her. Not spending money voting though.

Geri,- if GO comes to Dublin, that would give us a very good excuse for another Dublinfest!

Fi,- do I have an antennae for Norweginas? Not really, and how I found the other two was pure coinsidence, as such things often are, The first one, Kari, I met 6 years ago when I was doing a DIY course in the village community centre. She was doing a landscaping course, and we had the same instructor who pointed her out to me when we had Christmas dinner. You should have seen her face when I walked over and asked her, in Norwgian, if SHE was Norwegian. Her jaw dropped down to her chest! We have been very close friends since.
The other one we came in contact with through Kari's neighbour. She works in a Job centre, and one day came over to Kari's and told her to ring a number if she wanted to talk to a Norwegian who'd been to the Job Centre that day. Kari did, and to make a long story short, she turmned out to be the daughter of an old school mate of mine! I have known her dad since primary school, and we were even in the same class for 3 years at college! Talk about small world!

Agree RQ is by far the best in DoI, whether he'll win or not depends on how stong the TC appeal is! He is dire!

Meant to say earlier Aunty Eva that your Syd is a very dashing young man - he looks lovely! Well sadly I too had done the ixxnxxg not realising that Karen was sending him down south. We will have to go to the vets again. Jess is much better thanks to oohhhms but she has given her cough to poor Tess who sounds even worse - I wonder if the vet does discount for bulk orders of antibiotics...Very tempting to travel to Liverpool on Thursday as I know the way to Radio City:-)

Amazingly enough it's dry this morning and a balmy (or do I mean barmy?) 2 degrees. Glad I got my thermals on, but I bet I'll still see someone throughout the day wearing just a teeshirt and a miniskirt. Are they nuts or am I (whisper it) old?

Moving on -- exciting to have the radio info available, thanks for that, Ro. Maybe we'll be able to listen again -- now always possible from outside the UK, but we'll hope for the best. Of course we'll make the coffee and toast first. If you start in the kitchen, I'll get the fire going. Do you think Jo will mind if we use the lavender coloured blanket? No, she's told you it's OK as long as we clean it afterwards? She's a good egg, is Jo.

I have to get the day started. I'm having my feet done this morning. Was meant to have them done last Monday, but with the snow coming down thick and fast then, I cancelled. I have to have it done before I go away. It might be warm enough on Madeira for open toe shoes, and I have standards to uphold! The pedicured toes have been mentioned in dispatches!

Morning - sorry we are late everyone, but trying to find a train to get Baby Boss to Birmingham later today, and then get him safely back. V Trains not being very helpful! Ro & Chrissi thanks for the links - amazingly the office system let me view them so I can turn green with envy of everyone up North! OK BHB I see the others have been in before me, so we need to shut ourselves in the kitchen to get the breakfasts underway. Still chilly here so I think porridge is a must, with full English to follow, veggie options available, fresh fruit, pastries, baskets of assorted breads, croissants and pan au chocolat, speciality coffees and the ususal Cham Cham, Bellinis, Mimosas, Buchs Fizz and Champagne Cocktails. Now we need privacy to get this all prepared in a short space of time, so I am afraid I will have to take the pink blanket and shut the kitchen door - bye!

He said he is hoping to do Concerts to promote the Album later on in the year, but he has also been offered the part in a new Musical, about the life of the late Marc Bolan, so could be back on the Stage later this year, he also said he is leaving all of his options open at the moment??????

Well short but oh so sweet, just hearing his voice again, sigh! I think the MB thing would be great, but I wonder why he is keeping his options open, interesting, he must have been offered other things as well I would think, or is hoping for something else. Concert tours, yippee, we could be touring the UK!

Ok thanks to Ro have just listened to the second interview. The tracks he co wrote are NEN and Breathe You Out.Most of it we knew except, sob, he is going to New York for a couple of months, sob, sob. It is to talk about tv and film work, so that bit is good. The MB musical sounds to me as if he is going to do it if all goes well, MB wore a lot of waiscoats with no shirts didn't he? Yum!!

Oh forgot how could I! Congrats to the conga girl, well one of them, Ro for the mention and to the Giggle Sisters for theirs!

Re Spartacus I can see the GO in the role played by Tony Curtis but - 'premium cable' NOOOOOOO not fair! I've rattled off an email to Metro so with any luck we'll get a mention somehow - I asked Lee to wave and said we would all have our red fans ready to wave back ...might be silly enough to grab the attention of the DJ! I bet they are inundated already - might be a good idea to send again during the programme.

Card stock currently -10 (naughty SLs for ordering so many, thank you), so have to wait for next delivery, should be Friday. Which is fine as by then I should have the packing test reports back.

Re dog. A friend is booked to come with me on Saturday to collect her and 2 days booked off work to settle dog in. So hope she passes the cat test on Friday. Her foster carer says she shows no interest when she sees one in the street, so is 95% certain she'll be OK. 11 years old, fawn, neutered and called Shannon.

Hi guys - somebody very rudely turned the snow on before I got home, 6o miles of torrential rain I was prepared for, 40 miles of blizzard conditions I could have done without!

Anyway, am home now and looking forward to actually listening properly to the interviews ... I only heard bits earlier as was in 'stealth mode' at work! I did manage to hear my 'hello Ro' though, so have been walking round the office grinning like a loon all day!

The million hits on the website thing is because it's the same domain as his formerly active 'official site' so it's all the hits that got ... he/his people really do need to get it up and running now though - it would be a far simpler way of getting the word out about where and when he's 'appearing' than via his fan sites (great job though they do).

Right ... off to listen to the MeadStar for a while ...

Nikki got to speak to him TWICE today. LMAS got a lot of mentions... they must be bouncing around all over the place there.
So, he wasn't offered POTO2... but too young to place the P, and R not a big enough role.. makes sense. Such fun to hear him so excited about the MB project. That chap really got a lot out of him, not just the run of the mill plugging of the album.

'I had a year contract and David in my dressing room said I should go for it but I’d just bought his new flat. No wage throughout the show and had to live on his savings.

Over half an hour, it was great to hear how relaxed and confident he sounded, what a change from his early interviews. I recognised the names of some of the callers, but no SLs, the DJ said they'd closed the lines a little while before the interview began, guess there were masses of calls.

I nearly missed it as I had in my mind that it was to happen at 11.30pm and was just trying to check the links when I heard that he would be on shortly. He really does come over as such a genuine and sincere person with his feet firmly on the ground and very appreciative of his fans.

Well, I was bouncing too much after that interview to sleep much. It was just brilliant, wasn't it? I got the feeling the DJ was a genuine fan and the fact that they'd already been playing Lee's new single for a few days is a very good sign. I agree with you, Pauline, about MB. He discussed it in fair detail and didn't come up with one negative. He talked about it being an interesting story and a chance to create a role, plus how great the music is. I really hope it happens!

OOhhh thank you Geri - I had a bit of a pig of evening - trains delayed, torrential rain so got soaked walking from the station (although nowhere near as bad a journey as you had Ro!), then discovered I'd missed putting a meeting in my diary for Wednesday evening and have made plans to be elsewhere, then went to rehearsal, which overran, then had to go and deliver some tickets - looking for signs of an ark by this time, or at least animals moving around in pairs, got home, logged on managed to send one email and then lost all connections, so a) haven't yet heard the interviews (thank you Ro - you are a star, as I hope to do that when I get home tonight) and missed setting the video for Whitechapel - all in all - aaarrgggghhhhh! Then this morning signal failure on the Met Line so turfed off the train at Harrow in the pouring rain, ended up taking two trains and a bus and now I am about to go and spend the day down in accounts department trying to backtrack through various people's expenses to find copies of airline and hotel bills for our Cairo project as they are refusing to pay without backup - another arrrgggghhhhhh! Ok, deep breath and calm. OOohhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmss for everyone with real problems rather than my inconveniences - sorry about the rant just had to get it off my ample bosom! OK BHB you are looking a little tired. Up late? OK straight to the breakfasts then - kedgeree this morning, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and potato pancakes (veggie alternative to the bacon), cold meat platter with variety of breads, fresh pineapple, mango and melon, granola with winter berry compote, Pain au Chocolats and Danish pastries. Our own speciality cofffees supplemented by the herbal teas and Earl Grey. The ususal array of Cham Cham, Mimosas, Bellinis (Raspberry and Peach), Kir Royale, Champagne Cocktails. Just need to borrow the BHB to soothe my troubled brow and sorted out the catering supplies, so will firmly close the door. Have a fun day everyone.

Love the idea of GO as MB. MB before my time but he was a bit beautiful wasn't he and I like his songs. A couple of Christmass ago I saw a tribute T Rex band. I hope it comes off. Just think tight lurex cat suits, lots of glitter and feathers, the hair kept in place...ohhhh I'm off in a swoon just thinking of it. Fingers crossed.

It's pretty well all gone here at last.

Geri did a fantastic precis of the interview, he was asked about the tricks played at the last matinee, he said it was traditional but he didn't know beforehand what they were going to be and he found it difficult to hold it together at one point.

I am surprised that he's speaking so freely about MB before it's signed, sealed and delivered, he's normally very circumspect in what he says, I think he's very excited about the offer and will almost certainly accept it, he has spoken before about wanting to create a new role.

Once again thanks a million Ro, for enabling us to hear everything and letting us have such a thrilling day yesterday, with more to come!

Have got to the bottom of the 'pre-recorded' slot this morning - he was actually in at Smooth Radio Northeast recording it this morning. It will be broadcast later, but the interviewer, who I happened to email while Lee was there and just as they'd finished doing the recording, won't know until Friday when it's going out. I'll add it to the Timeline schedule as soon as anything is confirmed.

Made me chuckle though, could just imagine them sitting their chatting for a bit after they'd finished the recording when Paul says, 'hey Lee ... I've just had an email in about you ...' - he's gonna start getting scared soon!

Thanks Ro believe me I won't give up! That is a very interesting possibility, of course it must be very hard getting new shows off the ground at the moment. I do think this is about as safe as it gets as I know MB has a huge fan base still. Every year there are flowers left and a service of some sort held at the place he died, I think so anyway, unless I'm getting confused with someone else but I know there is still a lot of interest in him and his music is still popular. Then of course there is the small matter of us! So lets hope it all comes to something.

Hello! Well, such a lot of loveLeeness at the moment! Unfortunately I have missed all of it! Due to feeling tired last night I went to bed early and missed his late night interview and also the opportunity to attempt to download any of the other interviews!! I still haven’t heard any of them! Will have a go downloading one or two tonight but my computer is so slow I may have to give up. My next hope is listening to them at my Mum and Dads tomorrow but my brother has taken their PC to download new firewall software on it so it may be a while before I hear any of them! I am such a rubbish Loppy!!

On a weird note I have actually seen the tree in Barnes which MB crashed into and died. It has ribbons etc on it still. He was in a mini which as I drive one is abit macabre!

SOMEONE SENT ME A VALENTINE CARD for the first time EVER! ! ! ! ! (We don't do Valentines Day or cards in Norway.)
It's a lovely card with my name in print, and hugs and kisses! No name, but as I understand it, that's half the fun. My first thought was that one of you lot had sent it, but no....that can't be right. It surely from a man, so: Scott dear,- you shouldn't have! On second thought,- I know you love us all to bits, but you wouldn't single me out.
Then who? Arthur, the gardener? I'd better not say that out loud, because Mavis (his wife0 would have something to say about it.
Diva is convinced it's for her, sent by King Lee, while Poppy says it's for her from Herbert next door. He's just too shy to send it directly! So you see, the two of them to whom the cards is NOT adressed, are convinced it's for them and they know who it's from, while I............haven't got a clue! I had to check in the mirror a couple of times to see if there was another person looking back at me, but no,- it was the usual ugly mug!

Thanks for the precise of the interview Geri, I listened to the 2nd one via Windows Media Player, and it was so frustrating, the voices kept coming and going to I didn't even try to listen to the last one, but thanks to Ro and to Brenda for trying to help.
I did think though it was lovely to hear Lee so happy and positive about the future.

Right a short synopsis.
The big news is he is hoping to do a SIGNING for the album not just in London but across the country.
Asked about ADWD before and after, Lee said he kept in touch with Daniel. Ben and Craig.
Lee said he had a big say on what went on the album, he wanted to put his own stamp on it, and he was chuffed when HW agreed to duet with him on the album.
One thing that made me chuckle was that Lee said during the run of Joseph he didn't drink a lot, but he enjoys having a drink now!!!!!!!!!!!!
He giggled when DVO was mentioned ans said he was going to get involved in the wedding plans.
As mentioned he said he had turned down the part of Billy but he was open to offers (down Ladies down), and of course MB came up.

Anne, the interviewer was obviously looking on in amazement at all the emails his next guest was generating... he said there was even a Dublin representative, and read out K2's name - in full.. then a little while later he said, oh there's one even from Holland and said your name - in full, and said how much he loved your surname!!! This was before the GO had arrived that he was doing all this, so Ro may not have it on the link... But hopefully she will - as he mentioned a lot of names and from where they were writing in from...

Correct me if I am wrong but I think it was only Anne's and Karen2's name that were read out in full, and were they were from.I think Ro will have got Annes name as it was just before the GO came on.

I haven't heard today's int but there's a good chance it'll be on iPlayer - the BBC Scotland programme is. So if the bit where Anne & Karen's names are mentioned wasn't recorded at the time, might still be able to sort something out.

What a wonderful interview that was last night and so good to see him on the webcam. I took myself off to bed to watch/listen in peace as Ploppy was watching a film but he came up part way through the interview, got into bed and promptly started snoring!!!!! Grrrr! So, I'm watching/listening to the GO on one side and watching/listening to Ploppy (mouth wide open, snoring his head off - very attractive, not!) on the other side - would I be a bad wife if I said the comparison was, well. erm..........no, I'm not going to say it!!!!!!

I really hope the MB musical comes off, I love MB, I have him on my ipod (the one that's not Meady exclusive!!!). It sounds like a very exciting year ahead for us all.

Have yet to listen to today's interview but will do that soon. Well done Anne and K2 on getting a mention. I am liking the sound of signings up and down the country!!

Hi all. Ok maeve i admit I am bored with the snow (ie slush ) now. it is just an inconvenience - and not even pretty any more.

Gosh what an exciting week - no news or sightings for ages and then a deluge of information and Listenigns if not sightings. I have to admit that was so tired I went to bed early last night and didnt listen in. I had tried to download previous shows but when they told me that downloads took 45 mins I gve up. tried first one again this morning and took about 45 secs. He does sound chipper and full of joys of life - well one does when one is 27:)

maeve - i too was surprised at how freely speaking about MB if not yet accepted but Ro's premise sounds likely.

Evening all, just been listening to the interview from this afternoon. Lovely. I don't think Ro has it on download yet but I heard it on listen again, it kicks in about 1.24/5. Agree he must be very confident in what he wants if he turns down the lead in a fairly major production.

I've had two phonecalls from friends today saying Happy Birthday, because on my profile on Facebook it says my birthday is the 10th. I had no idea, and now it won't let me in to correct it! I haven't used Facebook for over a year, and I set it up because The Young Ones were bugging me to do it. Never mind, I'm not too keen on my data being on there anyway, so they might as well be the wrong ones!

Hi back from outer outer mongolia. scary out there. Still loads of snow and freezing hard. I almost fell getting to car and that was with snow boots on and no incohol - prospect of scary drive home.

So glad i wont have to take snow boots to madeira eva. Will email you with our details tomorrow.

I've listened to the interview and agree it is stunning. The difference in his confidence is the thing that hits you most I think. We need to get a message from us through though, somehow I think.
